Unfortunately the board function does not work. When creating a new board after upgrading to the purchased app, it will only save one board and overwrites any changes. When reopening the board I was working on all edits have been erased.
MoodboardDesign does not work! I have installed it, removed it and downloaded it twice now and still does not work. There is an option to upload photos of furniture and decor in order to put it on the mood board, but that photos never upload, they just give you the loading circle of death forever.
MoodboardDesign works good if you are just designing a mood board for fun, but if you are an actual interior designer this is kind of a bummer. The fact that you have to pay $35 to only be able to remove the background on photos is a little crazy. I wish for that price you could also have the ability to arrange each image to go either in front or behind another image. It would also be a HUGE plus if you could work in the mood board from your phone and then still access your work on an iPad. I get that you can export it to your iPad, but you aren’t able to edit any of the images on it. Needs improvement for sure.
I couldn’t find any info on the in app purchases before I downloaded MoodboardDesign , they were worse than I feared unfortunately. I couldn’t make a single mood board before I would’ve had to make purchase. MoodboardDesign caps at five background removals a month, just enough to learn how to use it before needing it to be a new month. Needless to say, I’m continuing my search for a mood board app.
Before I couldn’t remove more back grounds it was working fairly well, it struggled with some images and worked great with others.
Good idea, but very glitchy. I try clicking on one board to edit and it opens up an entirely different board to edit. So now I can’t edit one of the boards I have.
App looks clean and simple but I haven’t used it because I’m unable to use MoodboardDesign in landscape mode on my iPad. I don’t know about others, but I only use my iPad in landscape mode and delete apps that don’t allow it. It’s just awkward using such a large screen in portrait mode.
OR, when a developer shrinks MoodboardDesign to the size of iPhone on an iPad screen still stuck in portrait mode, not utilizing the full real estate of an iPad screen. Please update, thanks!
The background remover works like a charm.
It‘s a very practical app when planning a room or entire apartment.
Cropping is a bit choppy (the picture „jumps“ anytime you adjust a side) and the overall UX could be better (e.g. why do I need to add items one by one to boards? Why can‘t i scroll on the available items in a side bar and drag & drop anything I like without all the extra clicks?). Being able to not just rotate but also tilt images would be a huge plus.
There‘s room for further improvement but this is already an app worth having.

MoodboardDesign is helpful for a home owner who needs to see some visualization of things to put their room together. It could use more options for a designer to use it. But it is helping me in a crunch and the price is awesome. So give it a try!
