Holy Crap!!!

I’ve never written an app review. This comes from a person that has tried over a thousand games in the past two years. The artwork and voice acting in this game alone is worth playing. I will have to say, it needs more playable content, but this will pull you in, pull at your heart strings, and have you looking at your life in a different light. I’ve been in a depressive state for a while, and this has had me in tears in a good way. Please give this game a shot and support this developer. Just like any gatcha game, I wouldn’t call it f2p, stop expecting that, it’s just ignorant. Either grind, or get over it. Tips for the developer, add some more combat visuals please. Also, some more modes would be appreciated. Research on afk rpg games will be your best friend. The tower mode is great, other modes similar would be the cherry on top. Maybe even consider some dungeon crawling. Personally for this, I wouldn’t mind a 2d visual for a dungeon mode with 3D cut scenes. Overall tho, amazing start and I can truly see the amount of work put in here. Best game I have tried all year visually, including pc games.

i beg you, at least try this beautiful game out

i first saw the ratings and looked at the descriptions, i was already pleased enough to give it a shot. so, before i go deeper, let me add a little something about myself when it comes to these types of games. I’ve never been into the storylines, ever, i just skipped everything and flew through tutorials to figure the gameplay out myself, since i focus more on that than storylines. but, actually, i didn’t skip the storyline this time. and i sincerely don’t regret it at all, because i absolutely love it so far. the soft, pleasing art, mixed with the storylines and beautiful music (the music made me fall in LOVE! my favorite one is one of the first songs we get, “Everglow,” and i listen to it everyday because of how beautiful it is). plus, we get a lot of free gems, and the rates have been either very lucky for me or really fair. either way, impatience is what usually causes spending real $$$, and it’s just not necessary for this game. I’ve had no problem at all. this deserves a 5 ⭐️ for me.

Seriously, give it a shot

I’ve played just about every hero Gacha game I could find usually after 2-3 weeks tops I lose interest because it’s just another pay to progress gacha with really no storyline other than something along the lines of the darkness has returned and boy let me tell you it’s DARK and you have to use your light to combat said infinite darkness. This game straight out of the gate blew my assumptions out of the water. The amount of time and effort that has been poured into this game shows. Each character has their own song that play on your main page whenever you open it? Amazing, in all seriousness though I have severe pigmentary glaucoma so it makes it hard to enjoy games at my own pace, but the blend of colors and music and honestly just the entire feel of the game is not only accessible but the fact that almost everyone has professional voice acting actually lets me get lost in the story. I can’t remember the last time that’s happened, especially from a mobile game.

Amazing start

To start, I tend to have low expectations for idle games but this was just mind-blowing. The music and how each character has a unique song was fantastic. The art and smooth animations are also a major plus. Both the Japanese and English voice actors did an incredible job. Game is relatively simple to progress through and I absolutely appreciate I can transfer my gear stats to the next upgraded gear. The guild raid, however, I wish I had more attempts or maybe even 1 more instead of 2 maximum. I personally would also like to see more stages in the Cave of Space Time. The combat was surprisingly fun to watch seeing the characters pop up and the skip button feature was a great addition.

If there is one issue I have, it’s that there are crashes (but not frequently enough to be an annoyance). Currently running iPhone 11 with iOS 16. Might be different for other devices.

Overall, I’m really loving the game so far and I am looking forward to its future. Cheers.

Don’t Bother

Only 5 stars so y’all see this.

Honestly, I’ll admit, I was incredibly hyped up for this game. The art was stunning, the songs are amazing. Everything about the game was incredibly promising, but that’s also where it falls incredibly short. The game is pay to win, and unless you spend money, you won’t get past a certain level in the game without waiting days, if not weeks for your resources to be farmed out by the AFK factor of the game.

Much of your entire power is based not around your gear, but getting multiple of the same character to upgrade them in rank. What’s so bad about that? For a gacha game the appearance rates of characters is so abysmally low. Having already gone through nearly 9 chapters and 120 levels in the tower, I’ve been stuck at the same stage since release day. My power has almost completely doubled over what the bots power is, yet due to the simple fact that it’s NEARLY impossible to get any of the featured SR characters, you’re better of wasting your time and money on something else.

All in all, the game has a lot of potential, but there’s absolutely nothing you can do up to a certain point unless you spend money.

Visually it's perfect but everything else not so much 🥱

The artwork and music is absolutely stunning but I don't like that we're forced to play as a guy which considering i'm a woman who loves self inserting into stories completely ruins it for me, we don't have any control over what we do instead we're forced to do things by the game, it's the most pay to win heavy gatcha app i've ever come across which trust me is saying a lot because i've played countless gatcha apps and there's next to nothing to do in it (home screen is a baron wasteland and it's just battles, equipping heroes, etc over and over again). Also it's really odd to me that no one from MementoMori has responded to reviews especially to glowing ones... surely a BRAND NEW app would be really appreciative of reviews since they're just starting out, makes me wonder if this was just a money making project and not a project of love 🤔Also FYI they seem to be deleting a lot of negative reviews, I tried posting this same review multiple times but it kept being taken down so just keep in mind that there may be way more negative reviews that were just taken down.

A hyped game that did not disappoint

I’ve been waiting for this for months and have been scared that the hype wouldn’t live up to it…but y’all, please give it a chance. This game is a gem and Bank of Innovation deserves an applause. Not only is the music and art direction just immaculate, the gameplay - while being an idle game - is honestly really fun, and the battles are refreshingly beautiful since they follow the same art direction.

Also can we talk about how it is fully voice acted, down to each individual song too?? Not surprising since they have been teasing the Laments for months now, but I wasn’t expected it to be fully voice acted.

All in all, please give this game a shot. It is literally my new favorite mobile game.

By

Great art, interesting gameplay, even better music

All I have to say is for an idle game…it’s pretty good and generous in rewards and gems for character draws. I feels it’s well balanced as long as you set up you team right per gaming elements.

But i will say that this is one idle you will definitely want to leave on as it grinds for you just because lol the music kicks hella hard and is awesome!! I’m honestly here for this just for the music now then gameplay lol.

Just remember guys this isn’t a hardcore action game that’ll rip your pants off and leave you post-nut satisfied. It’ll do just the satisfaction just fine and honestly like me most of you are bored and was curious so I’d say give it a shot and enjoy because I am.

By

Really shocked how fun this is

If you’re a fan of the gatcha style games you should really give this a shot. That said, this doesn’t have a whole lot of hand holding starting out but gatcha game players will pick it up super quick. As a lot of other reviews have said, the art and music in this game is really second to none. I’ve only played 5 days so far but there’s plenty to do and the rewards you gain for the AFK may be the best I’ve come across so far. This seems to be one of these games where you simply don’t need EVERY character to be successful so I haven’t stressed over banners so far. As I said, if you like gatcha you’ll probably love this one.

Really beautiful.

Hi Iam Katie btw. I know it’s a bit silly to try review a game before you play it but visually it’s beautiful and really well made like a painting. Full of magic. Dreamlike. And witches aren’t really shown in media much anymore So seeing them represented in media in general is really cool. And the fact that’s it’s not only visual beautiful but there’s a story to go along with it. It’s gonna be super fun to play. And the soundtrack is beautiful which should add a lot of layers to the story. It’s available for pre download btw. The beautiful soundtrack is playing on a loop on MementoMori . Thanks every one who made this beautiful gem of game possible and I hope it has a good global launch. And fan base :).

Priorities Are In The Wrong Place

The watercolor art style is unique and enticing. The soundtrack is among the best I’ve heard from any mobile game. The core of the problem lies in the gameplay, or rather the lack thereof. There are no skill animations, only the name of a skill pops up then damage numbers happen. There isn’t really any “gameplay” per se, only watching the same 6 animation screens play over while damage numbers appear. Upgrade system is similar to AFK Arena and there’s a VIP system to encourage large spending and P2W whaling. I believe that this game can be salvaged by adding actual gameplay to the game -and toning down the VIP system- since the art and sound are already there, but as it stands in its current state, it’s only worth the download if you like games for the soundtrack and visuals.

Hidden Gem

This game is beautiful! The artwork, voice, and. music is very will put together. I have play idle game before but none like this. The character we use actually have a good background story. Some of their story have actually put me into tears. I have play with the English and Japanese voice settings both are really good. This is absolutely beautiful! Please as you add more content to this game give more tear jerking story. To me this is really a hidden gem I just stumble a pond. Pleases continue the time effort you put into the art, voices, and music as you add new and more content for the game. Just absolutely beautiful!

By

Beautiful AFK RPG

First thing, this games art style and music is absolutely beautiful. A+. The gameplay though is very typical of any idle RPG of recent memory. If you like idle RPGs where there’s no real gameplay and it’s technically a menu battle simulator, then you’re set. If you’re looking for more in depth gameplay or mechanics, you won’t find it here.

I’m a big fan of the games aesthetic and luckily for me, I enjoy playing these idle games on the side or when there’s down time at work because they are so brainless to play. I also love and give max respect to the English voice acting and songs. Try this out for sure!

Amazing Art. Mediocre Gameplay.

This game could have been so much better if all that Music and Art was put into another game, The gameplay on the other hand was none other than disappointing. It’s sad to see amazing
Art go into Trash gameplay… The game has little to no gameplay and the fighting systems are laughable. If this game was maybe a turn based game, then maybe my opinion would change but so far it seems that you go into the fight and immediately skip it to then be unable to progress further due to this being an afk game. Also it doesn’t help that this game has maybe 3 ways of gaining resources and then proceed to use all of them that you have gathered to level up a character 1 time.

By

Needs rebalancing

The game is beyond beautiful. Potentially the most beautiful game I have ever played. The music is on par. They have collected extremely talented voice actors to take away your heart and never return it. I am attached to every character already.

Why 3/5? It is an afk/idle game. Meaning you are supposed to be making slow progress every day. In reality if you don’t pay a lot for the game, you hit a progress wall in about 3-4 days. There is also a lack of proper tutorial on how to battle. Battle points seem to be meaningless since 2mil gets beaten up by 1mil party. All of this is a sign that the game needs to rebalance its progress system and improve the tutorial. Until then, it will have to stay at 3/5.

By

If you like gacha games download this immediately!!!!

I normally get pretty bored with gacha games and eventually get rid of them. This one however is actually really good. It has actual professional voice acting and an intriguing story that I don’t skip which is what I do in other gacha games. It also has different themes in the menu depending on the character you have selected to be showcased and I could listen to them all day. I haven’t even mentioned the art style which is absolutely stunning. So in conclusion if you like gacha games download this you will not regret it!!

Great Game But Serious Problem

The Private Messaging Crashes. So I can use everything but private messages. But people send me them, so I can’t reply to them. It’s annoying. But aside from that, this game is beautiful. The title translates as “Remember That You Must Die” which is a spoiler to the dark lore you learn as you get further into the story. Yes, amazing story. Great idle gameplay, and the music is Mwah! I can spend all day in chat while listening to it. Sadly, I don’t see a way to change the region from Japan, so I’m stuck with a lot of people that don’t speak English. Great game though. I love it.

By

Such a great game with potential!

From what I see most of these voice actresses really put their heart and soul into every story. Some of these characters have such sad life stories that the voice actresses feels for them and you can hear the genuine sadness in their voices as they speak. I’m so focused on the stories that I forget to play quest sometimes, but being “afk” earns me all the materials to level up my characters. So it’s a win-win no matter which way you play the game.

By

Best maintenance simulator ever!!!

This game has been under maintenance since it’s launch. People still waiting for things to work. Ways of summoning new characters being pulled out of the game. Entire modes disabled. If you like checking in every few hours to see if ongoing maintenance is finished yet, only to find out that it’s not finished and now something else is also under maintenance then this is the game for you!!! I would have given this game 5 stars but unfortunately the last star was under maintenance. I love it!!! Great job!!

Missing augment button & bugs

Apparently there’s an augmenting button for gears, unlocked by progressing through the game. Even though Im already on chapter 8-8 in the story, I have never seen the “augment” option in my gear’s menu. I can only transfer the dark/holy stats via smelting, but that doesn’t actually complete any of the quests.

Second, a minor bug, the error 3 will only occur sporadically when I open guild raid and kick me out to the game menu. My wifi was able to play the just fine with no problems, the only part of the game I can’t access most times is guild raid..

YIPEE

I love this game! It’s what I wake up for unless I forget about it but so wish there were more characters, preferably more men. Not that it’s bad to have female characters but it’s only female characters! Me and my LESBIAN friend agree that most of the women are not very attractive because the bodies are overly sexualized, even the minors. They used me as an example because I have developed some upper parts and they said that unless the clothes is actually tight or it’s not the right size/intentionally the wrong size, the upper area shouldn’t rlly be so so soooo visible to the point where most of the skin is just barely poking out. Enough of the characters, let’s talk about gameplay. Don’t get me wrong. I like it a lot! But I feel like there’s not much to do unless you pay diamonds or your characters are strong enough. BP is 1,000,000 point higher than your enemy? You could still lose, same with 2,000,000 more! And you can’t even level your characters up unless you get the orbs and stuff. I have enough of the green ones but it’s so hard to get the red/orange ones! You have to use diamonds or things that are daily things that you have to pay for if you wanna use again. I feel like this game wants you to pay with actually money than play the game. Without those materials, you can’t do much. Overall. It’s pretty boring. Especially if you can’t get past certain levels, tower levels and have already beaten/died to the space-time thing.

It’s a good game, maybe…

Hear me out, this game (at the start) there’s a lot to do, battling, gacha, story, but as you get into the later stages of the game it starts to get boring with not much to do and little motivation to do battles or anything because there all pretty much the same, auto battles are a feature in this game, and it can be good or bad, like I said it’s pretty much the same thing over and over again with auto battles. Gacha in this game is probably the thing that got people to play the game, but the gacha in this game so bad I don’t bother pulling even when I have lots stuff. You only end up logging in once a day for like 5 mins then leaving. Now that we got the bad stuff out of the way lemme talk about the good stuff! The character designs are unique and beautiful as well as cute. The art style in this game is what got me to play, it’s unique I’ve never seen any art style like it and it’s really good for any artists who want to study or find a new art style to look at and copy the things they like. The music in this game is a vibe, each character has their own song you can listen too. That’s all for right now, so do I recommend playing? I’d say it’s a game for those who like characters, music, art, and not so much playing like a casual gamer i guess. But if you like fun and interesting and entertaining games then this one isn’t for you.

Where's the anime?

If the Kemono Friends mobile game can have a successful anime adaptation, there's no reason for Memento Mori to ignored. All of its strengths are non-gameplay related: the art, music, characters, and dark fantasy elements are all there. The only thing missing is a comprehensive story that can be written by anyone with enough credentials (my vote goes to Gen Urobuchi of Thunderbolt Fantasy and Madoka Magica fame.)

Funny enough, it's biggest weaknesses are actually gameplay related. The game autoplays every single battle, and you need to roll the gacha not just for rare waifus, but to raise their level cap as well. The truth is you will need A LOT of the less rare waifus - the ones with a maximum rarity of a purple border around them - to awaken them up to said rarity. Then you essentially feed them to your rarest waifus of the same soul type, who at max rarity get a black border.

If you remain free to play, your progress will be painfully slow. Go at your own pace at first, then decide if you like it enough whether to spend money or not. I'm no whale, but the reason why I've dumped a fair amount into Memento Mori isn't just because I want to keep up with other players in my guild, it's also because I want to keep supporting this beautiful game with so much potential for an anime.

Wow…

Very few games do I write a review for and even less often is it for a 5 star rating, however, Momento Mori is…just wow. While the gameplay is simplistic and linear, a typical idle fighting game, the ambiance, the music, the art, the tragedy and backstories, it all comes together and makes this game so much more than just another idle game. I was skeptical seeing some of the reviews and the pics of the game in the description, but after playing it, the sorrowful art of the fight scenes to even the intonation of the voice actors is just pure amazing. I already recommended this game to my wife and kids as well as several friends.

Small advice to any new player: make sure you load the voice play when watching the memories, it adds a whole new level to being hit in the feels as you listen to the point I had *coughs* dust in my eyes…*coughs* when listening to several of the tragedies unfold for the girls you collect.

To the creators, beautiful. There is no other word to describe this game.

Setting the bar too high for everyone else!

That’s what this game is doing. Listen, man: I got excited on the SETTINGS MENU. SETTINGS. GOT ME EXCITED. Listen, man, I play a LOT of idle games, and I’ve played a few afkrpgs in my time. This one, this one is the best. My sole complaint is that it isn’t available on PC. I need it on more devices. That way, I can consistently play with sound: and I won’t play without sound, that would simply be disrespectful to the game and it’s undoubtedly HUGE music budget. The music is probably the best part. Anyway, any game good enough to get me to write a review is worth getting, and definitely worth this 5 stars. PS: Yeah, micro transactions are in the game. You want EVERY character, but don’t got time to grind (though it probably won’t feel like grinding), you might need to spend. But each character has so much going on, you don’t need many to do good and distract yourself with their stories.

By

Art is good, and that’s it

This is essentially just AFK Arena with a different art style, fewer events, and somehow greedier devs. Every possible way to get stronger is monetized - you need an unreasonable amount of character copies to upgrade, green exp orbs are moderately easy to get but red orbs that allow you to unlock a character’s level cap are scarce, and there are not a lot of ways to get gems in this game once you’ve reached a wall in the story (and there are plenty).

Daily and bi-daily events give more rewards if you participate in them, but temple of illusion has one of the worst event designs I’ve ever encountered. The difficulties of the higher levels are so ridiculous that only the top whales in the game can complete them, and even then, the rewards are usually not that good.

There isn’t really any interesting storyline in this game, and the lack of interesting gameplay makes it pretty boring after a little while. Upgrading characters doesn’t even feel that good because you know you’ll progress a few stages and then hit another wall for a few weeks. This game is incredibly predatory and I could not recommend it less.

By

Eye and Ear candy. Nothing else.

The game is very pleasing to the eye with its water color aesthetic. It has some great voice actors and shockingly each character has their own theme song. Each character has their own engaging dark/somber story.

Beyond this, there isn’t much to this game you would continue to come back for. I feel there really isn’t a reason to progress other than have a stronger team. There are no story beats after the beginning so I struggle to find a reason to keep playing.

After a certain point you just hit a wall and can’t progress any further until you happen to roll favorably in gacha to upgrade your characters. Once at the wall you practically just wait till you have the resources for days. Login do your dailys and then get out. At that point it is just work. Fast track via pay-to-win but still. Side options don’t provide much in helping you upgrade team either.

Again the art looks great and the music is great but gameplay wise, I don’t have anything to look forward to. Even the gacha is kinda disappointing. There is no flare to it. Just you did a 10 pull, here you go. Admittedly I usually skip the animations for gacha in other games but having them there still makes it feel special.

As a quick idle game it succeeds. Fantastic idle game but after a month of playing and being stuck at a wall for a couple days, gotta call it quits.

By

The most predatory paywall

I was SO excited for this game I pre-registered, was there on day 1 The art style is beautiful and the music is amazing But the game has been aggressively paywalled since launch I gave it a chance, I stuck with it But even their events are paywalled You need SSR dupes of characters to increase level caps, and the pity system has entire character types that aren’t in it. On top of how drip fed your premium currency is And there’s a secondary resource you need to level a character every ten levels And that resource is so rare you get maybe 200 a day if you’re lucky With some level caps needing over 7,000, leaving you level gated and unable to progress And with all this in mind, I put a little money into this game, and I logged in every day And even then When the event dropped my team wasn’t even close to being strong enough to do the lowest level event mission I had such high hopes for this game but it demands so much money from you to progress it is just NOT worth it, no matter how good the art and music is

By

Really good, really pretty, beginner and f2p friendly

I just wish games like this didn’t refer to the player as a guy. The people in this game happen to be extremely queer, much like myself, so I hope they introduce a pronoun selection? Chat is actually very nice and welcoming. I wish there was an english wiki. Gacha has a pity, it takes a while to get there, but it has one Idk what else to say, it’s just amazing

Also, whats up with the bad reviews saying it over sexualizes them 😭😭 have you played literally any other game, this game is so tame compared to others… and who cares?? If there’s no men??? Like, women are amazing, and lets not even touch that one review being like “men are more favorable it’s literally in the statistics” 🤓🤓🤓

Beautiful Game

I love anime and this has the requisite artwork and storyline to please any anime fan. It has the normal join a guild, fight battles, gatcha pulls for characters but there is no need to spend money. When you get multiple characters, you can combine them which awakens them to the next class. You acquire gems and tickets for pulling characters just from doing daily tasks. Plus, it’s an idle game so your characters battle and win you materials to upgrade weapons, armor, etc. I check in a few time a day, to collect loot, then smelt armor and do some upgrades. The music is nice, too. Every time you get a new character they have their own song. You also earn gems just by reading the characters memories.

By

Superb

Rarely have I seen a gacha game made with more love and care. The quality in all areas - game mechanics, UI, art, sound, voice acting - is absolutely superb. The MUSIC is a special highlight, and I commend the developers for investing in great vocalists and songwriters.

My only gripe is that I wish they would have continued telling the story in the main campaign. Also, it is an idle RPG, so you have to be okay with that basic premise. The gameplay is in how you manage your resources and develop your roster, which will be extensive. It’s not about individual combat.

Daily time commitment is 10-15 minutes, but the game can easily engage you for a few hours at a time when you can spare it.

Good game 👍

I really like this game, it is gorgeous to look at, it is difficult at times but not too much, and battling is fun. Even each of the characters have so much personality and detail into them. I don’t have much free time, but when I do I love to play this game. It is definitely underrated and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun game to play when bored. The only thing that I would complain about is sometimes it got super hard and I couldn’t do anything, it isn’t very hard to level up characters but after I finally got enough I would get stuck again and it just repeats. But maybe that’s just me. Another thing is that not that many people play it, but it’s not THAT big of a deal and it doesn’t really bother me too much when playing. If you are thinking about getting it, just do it, it is at least worth a try and I genuinely really enjoy it! Deserves at LEAST 4 stars

Quality

The quality of this game is absolutely fantastic: the art, instead of the more common digital style, it looks as if it was made from hand (sketching, paint, etc.) The voicelines are also great, I was changing the settings before I actually played the game and set the voice to JP and the JP voice fits the story and voicelines so well that it seems that it mightve been the original intended voice, great job on that part. The movie at the start really showed the story, and unlike other gacha type games, this one is extraordinary due to the fact that it gives music to the characters that you obtain esp the beginning ones. Though I feel that the fact that this game was set as more of an idle rpg game really wastes the game's potential; from my perspective, it really has lots of room for more lore (story) and could turn more into a story type game (ex: arknights(with lots of lore)) instead of an idle game.

i love women!!!!

this is my first time writing a review for a game, but i feel like i have to in this case, since i’m absolutely OBSESSED with this game and it deserves way more love and a bigger community. first things first; the art is absolutely GORGEOUS, every girl has her own song (and they’re all absolutely amazing) and the battles are beautifully animated. the girls are all lovely and interesting, so if you’re a homo like me you’ll love it. my personal faves are cordie, natasha, fortina and iris!! :) the battle system is very very chill, you basically just make a team (level them up + equip weapons and armor + make them stronger in general) and let them do their thing. they’ll also battle even when you aren’t playing, so exp and items will always be waiting for you when you log in!!! additionally, you can speed the battles up a lot and even skip them, so it’s great if you just want some mindless slaughter/grinding. so far the story is interesting, especially the character side stories, and i feel like it’s very wellwritten and poetic. i feel like i’m praising it a whole bunch lol, it’s not for everyone, but if you just want a chill, generous gacha games with some charming ladies and gorgeous artwork, it’s definitely for you. give it a go!!!!

Why aren’t you playing this yet?!

Seriously I don’t write reviews, even for the games I’ve been playing for a few years. But just after two days of playing this beautiful game I made the decision to leave my very first review. The artistic direction the developers went with this game is just amazing, the story is great, although I recommend keeping a box of tissues handy, the characters have their own backstories and they can and will tug at those heart strings! Also each character in the game is unique in their own way with their own amazing song that goes with them. This is a first where I actually care about the characters that’s how well this game is done! You can tell right off the rip that the devs love this game and they put a lot of heart into this. I’ll continue to play and open my wallet for this game and support it for as long as they keep it going! 🙏 you all have a 5 star 10/10 rating in my book! Also one last note! I’d give this a higher rating if I could, this game deserves to have more recognition and should be advertised more! Just download it and play it! You’ll soon fall in love with this game as I have!

AFK Arena, but with waifus, and more boring

I appreciate that the game isn’t pretending to be more than it is. It’s main concern is giving you waifus, and dealing big damage. I think it even does the character stories right, effort went into the designs and character stories because that’s the core of the game. The art of the game is different too, which is a nice change.

However the game is one the most boring gachas I’ve played. You can’t even interact in combat. You just set up the team and let them fight. At least the characters have animations for their moves, but the only interaction you get is the choice to have 2x or 4x the speed. It’s got some challenge modes like AFK arena, but instead it has the non-gameplay.

There’s nothing else much to say, it doesn’t have much other content, it’s just not fun. I could see someone being happy with drawing characters and idle gameplay, that might be enough for them, not so for me.

Pretty but Confusing

This game is undoubtedly gorgeous, its art style is INCREDIBLE and its music is as well. I, personally, do not like the gameplay at all. It's confusing and the story feels very weird. There's some girls who are being hunted in a "witch hunt" by the "church of Longinus", but nothing is explained! Most gacha fighting games that I've played like Food Fantasy and Reverse: 1999 have icons during fights, and while those aren't AFK games, it's certainly nice to see what's happening. This game, instead of characters, uses the names of characters off to the sides in order to show who's doing what. Also, I have no idea what's happening. The characters are just given to you in the first four levels, and while this is an AFKRPG, you do nothing at all in levels. You watch characters' names pop out while the same art you've seen of the characters several times moves a little bit. There is exactly one drawing of every character in this game. They put NOTHING into this.

TLDR: It's not worth it to get this. Get a better Gacha RPG Game with AFK features. The art makes up for nothing.

Good and chill

This game is GOOD. Don’t get me wrong, it is definitely a pay to win game, with overall little to no user engagement in the play through itself. Pretty much all the fights i just skip through with little to no attention just waiting for the outcome BUT despite all this, it is still a very enjoyable game. The character designs are splendid, you can tell they put time and effort into the art direction of the game and the music is also great. The dailies are easy to do and pulls are generally easy to obtain. Progression in the game stagnates after awhile and gives you a reason to upgrade your characters and gear. Of course, this benefits whales more since they have the means to easily upgrade their characters but even as a free to play i don’t mind grinding a week or two to clear a level/floor. Maybe that’s because i play on and off though. But i feel like that’s the best way to approach the game. A chill game where you get on every couple days in your downtime and clear content. No twenty minutes to clear dailies or constant domain clearing for artifacts and rolls. Just a chill game with beautiful art and music. Love it.

Classiest, prettiest Gacha out there

What sets this game apart from a sea of Gacha games is the art. Whether it’s the world map you’re traveling on to the girls themselves, it all looks so much classier than the usual Gacha fair. While most Live2D is just an excuse for jiggle physics, these characters look like watercolor paintings come to life.

This unique art style is accompanied by one of the best soundtracks in mobile gaming period. They even have English versions of the songs that are actually very good but you can switch the spoken language to original JP to hear the original music too. It’s mainly a mix of either J-Pop/J-Rock with European Folk music/Classical instruments. The battle themes (one for normal battles and one for Bosses) feature no lyrics but are these sweeping piano, string and wind instrumental pieces that work very well.

This is an Idle type rpg so there’s no interaction from the player. This is a little disappointing, as is the lack of interaction with your gathered Witches. These girls need HUGS. Mostly they just talk to you in a one sided manner about tragic tales of abuse and persecution. The power of the games art comes into play here, going well with the somber and tragic themes at play.

That said if I could, I’d wish to have the option at some point to more directly interact with the characters. It’s hard to hear some of these stories and not be able to tell them it’s going to be alright now.
