I was really excited about HouseChoresCleaningSchedule- and if it worked as promised, I would be singing its praises. Once I got everything uploaded into HouseChoresCleaningSchedule and invited my family- now it won’t show the daily schedule. It also tells me every 30 seconds that I am offline and that I need to reconnect. I have reached out to the developers twice and have heard no response. I will be asking for a refund. If you are going to have HouseChoresCleaningSchedule cost money- it better work as promised.

If a task is due tomorrow, and let’s say for example that the task is weekly, and you mark the task as complete today, it will appear to correctly set the next due date to one week from today. However you will see that it will actually store the next due date as tomorrow again, as though you didn’t complete it today. I signed up for the free trial and had planned to pay for premium once the trial expired, but this bug makes HouseChoresCleaningSchedule almost useless. Tried to contact the developers but haven’t heard back. I find it odd that such a basic defect exists in HouseChoresCleaningSchedule.

I like the idea of HouseChoresCleaningSchedule but it doesn’t work properly. I set some tasks to be due on certain days and to repeat weekly, only to find that for next week the task has been shifted to a different day. I always try to do grocery shopping on Sundays, but some days HouseChoresCleaningSchedule would remind me to do it on a Tuesday. I also don’t like that you can’t pick certain days of the week for the task to show up (e.g. every Monday and Wednesday) and you have to make multiple of the same task to get it to do that. Also I reached out to support at one point about an issue I was having and never got a response, so I’m switching to a new app.

Great in theory, but it constantly logs out the other members of my household so I have to remove them, reimburse them, then reassign tasks when they accept every day. Extremely inconvenient and time consuming. I paid for the entire year up front and wish I hadn’t. HouseChoresCleaningSchedule would be amazing if it actually worked like it’s supposed to.

Great app when it works, but says I’m offline and won’t display my tasks, despite being fully connected and all other apps accessing the internet fine. Frustrating to not even be able to see the tasks or check them off and sync when connection is reestablished.

I liked the readability of creating and assigning tasks. However the task scoots based on when you did it not when it was scheduled. If I didn’t shampoo the carpets on Friday and did it instead on Saturday, the following week it shows as due Saturday. You can manually change the task back. Which isn’t the end of the world. But I don’t want an app with a lot of maintenance on my end. I did like everything else about HouseChoresCleaningSchedule . I have ADHD and currently do all the house chores. I felt it was great except for that moving days thing. I couldn’t find a setting that turned that off. If I don’t find something that I like better I’ll come back to this one and update this review.

I loved HouseChoresCleaningSchedule. Until I’d try to complete me tasks and then they’d pop right back up. Too glitchy for me.

I still have the free version that I use for myself and found another app that is good for the family.

There seem to be a lot of bugs with HouseChoresCleaningSchedule. It initially started out great as a way to facilitate communication between my husband and I for home tasks.

I set up our recurring schedules and everything. However, it seems that when you mark things as complete that rotate weekly, they will move it to the next day. For example “wash dog bowls” on Thursday will be marked and them moved to the following Friday?

It’s not us because if we forget something, I'm conscious to make sure to mark it on the day it was SUPPOSED to be completed.

Also sometimes, you will mark things off and it just comes right back?

I have been using HouseChoresCleaningSchedule for several months and used to really enjoy it. it helped keep me on track with my chores and I no longer felt overwhelmed by what I need to get done to keep my house clean.

Recent upgrade provides a left navigation and a calendar and tasks and I have lost the ability to select tasks and Mark complete on the same screen without having to navigate to a different screen.

I have sent this feedback via HouseChoresCleaningSchedule I hope they will provide a way to change the default view, but I don’t have a good feeling about that.

I love HouseChoresCleaningSchedule so far; however, for some reason if I set a task due to be done tomorrow it will say “1 Day Overdue” in the schedule even if that day hasn’t happened yet. It doesn’t happen for all the tasks though. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I’m so glad I downloaded HouseChoresCleaningSchedule. It’s been tremendously helpful in keeping me organized and make sure I don’t overlook tasks. I love that I can set tasks to recur at various intervals so those things that only need done every 6 months or once a year aren’t forgotten. Each room has preset tasks you can enable which makes setup very easy. The UI feels a bit clunky/dated but it’s functional and easy enough to understand. My biggest challenge is that the notes have a low character limit that doesn’t allow me to keep the notes I want to keep. I like to list a step by step cleaning process. I also like to record warnings, product preferences, reminders, etc. but there’s no room. I keep a separate notebook for all that now. I’m hoping to see this character limit increased.

In my home screen in each room, instead of telling me how many tasks I have to do in each room today, it says “all fine” as if I have completed all tasks for the day. This is frustrating because seeing what rooms I still need to work in is why I was interested in the home screen overview available in HouseChoresCleaningSchedule.

They are slowly adding basic features other chore/task tracker’s have by default, which is definitely helping it feel worth the (rather high) yearly subscription price.

What they do have a leg up on is a simple, user-friendly UI that *isn’t* centered around children (no silly cartoons or garish colors). Really appreciate this — its why I initially chose this over competitors.

There’s a few bugs when you try to complete tasks assigned to someone else, but mostly it works correctly. This is a brand new feature (shocking, I know), so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

This would be a 5 Star app if they added the one feature it desperately needs: a point system. Dividing housework equitably really requires the ability to assign a point value to each task, then automatically track points earned by each household member over time. If they add this we’ll subscribe for life!

I wish there was a way to create a list of tasks without having to chose a date on when I need to do these tasks. I have a crazy schedule so I do chores whenever I have some free time / day, and this is different each week.

I love, love, love, that I don’t have to think about the tasks I should do daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly! It allows you to add tasks, which I’ve done, when things come up that pertain to my house. But otherwise, someone FINALLY figured out how to just “tell me what to do”, AND they broke it down into a list. I feel so much more free to think about important things, and I feel I have more time to be with family and friends instead of procrastinating housework. ABSOLUTELY LOVE HouseChoresCleaningSchedule!!

I really enjoy HouseChoresCleaningSchedule! It’s helped me tremendously with keeping up with what needs to get done. A while back I rated with only 4 stars because I was having difficulty adding a new room because the icons weren’t showing up and those were needed in order to create a new room, well the maker of HouseChoresCleaningSchedule responded and said that they found the issue and fixed the problem!! This is the only app I’ve ever used that when I left a review on it, that the maker of HouseChoresCleaningSchedule actually cared enough to reach out about how their product is working !! I am so very thankful that the creator listens to and reads the reviews!! Thank you so very much again for fixing the issue!!!

Obsessed with HouseChoresCleaningSchedule. The ability to turn on rotations for tasks means that there is never any question about whether or not things are fair or equal. After ten years of resentment toward my spouse for doing nothing, he is now making an honest effort after seeing all the household tasks clearly laid out. Life saver!

Our family has needed this for years and I have been trying out other apps that are either too complicated or too annoying… but this is great - my favorite feature is the presets… so I didn’t have to remember every task to add… I love how you can organize by room or person assigned! Also, my husband was able to see what I do all day and take a few off my list. Great interface! Ty

I don’t ever review apps, but I had to give this one 5 stars for a few reasons.
1. They update HouseChoresCleaningSchedule all the time and introduce amazing new features that make organization a breeze
2. Their customer service is very responsive and very kind
3. This is the best organization app I have used, and I’ve gone through about 5-7 others before I found this one. It allows for all of the customization, scheduling, and grouping you could want.
4. It’s perfectly usable and practical without buying premium, although I don’t have a need to share this list with anyone else anyway.

Super easy to use and customize. My only suggestion would be to make the preset tasks room agnostic, otherwise it’s confusing to see the exact same language pop up over and over. I don’t know how many times I just assumed I’d been distracted and ended up selecting the same task four or five times thinking I’d scrolled back up to the top! Still, IMO, not enough to ding a star.

HouseChoresCleaningSchedule is great. Our old app randomly stopped working, and it really threw off our routine. We found this one, and it was pretty good already, but the best part about it is that the team takes feedback seriously and they’re super responsive. We have asked for a couple of features, and they have not only implemented the features, but they responded to let me know they would be doing so! HouseChoresCleaningSchedule is now perfect for our needs, and is working really smoothly.

I am a business owner. I work full time. When I get home house work is not what I want to do. I’ve had HouseChoresCleaningSchedule a little over 2 weeks. My house is looking so much better. I like that I have like 5-10 chores to do a day. It can be cleaning cobwebs or as simple disinfecting the door knobs. I don’t feel overwhelmed now. I am actually considering getting the subscription so I can add my business chores to the list! Thank you I feel like I am finally getting it together!! 💕

I tried every housekeeping system over the decades, and this is hands down the best one. I was skeptical about breaking everything down into such small tasks, instead of a room at time or the whole house cleaning days I was used to. The preset tasks are a terrific place to start, and easy to edit and add to while fine tuning my routine. Most tasks get done in 5-10 minutes or less, and easily fit in throughout my day. Every day is different, my house looks great, and I never feel stressed or behind. Four months with HouseChoresCleaningSchedule, and I cannot imagine life any other way. Brilliant developers, highly recommend.

I highly recommend HouseChoresCleaningSchedule! It takes the guess work out of what needs to be done each day. It is customizable and easy to set up. It’s almost like a game to see how fast I can check off the chores. I use the free version, but if I had known about HouseChoresCleaningSchedule when my children were at home, I definitely would have paid for the upgrade. With the upgrade you can share and assign daily chores. Thank you to the team that made HouseChoresCleaningSchedule available!
