Not sure if it needs to be updated or what but all it did was open a file browser window to select which pdf i wanted to open, but no matter what i did it would not open any files

I just wanted to read PDFs without a bunch of toolbars and menus on every side. If that's what you are looking for too, then this is THE app. It's like opening a jpeg in Preview—just the document in a very skinny window. Awesome.
