SmartTV Cast: Screen Mirroring Reviews

I was trying to figure out if I could screen cast using my Roku. Turns out that only certain screens and videos are able to be casted. In the process of experimenting, SmartTVCast allowed me to “try it”. Please read this and take my advice, don’t click “try it”. When doing so, it automatically charged me a one year subscription and $32 was instantly taken from my Apple account. I am working with customer service through Apple to get refunded. I highly advise finding a different app that is not going to steal your money. By the way, the moment I realized SmartTVCast wasn’t going to work, I unsubscribed from what I thought was a free trial. Please take my advice and look elsewhere!

The first time setting up the device could be tricky, but next time can be easy since it already bookmarked the device 👍👍

I did not receive ANYTHING for my payment. It took my money but didn’t even acknowledge me. There’s no place in SmartTVCast to do anything except browse and connect to my tv using airdrop which I already have!!! I see no advantage to have this blank app.
All I get is loud advertising even though my volume is all the way down.
It keeps pushing pop ups to upgrade even though I upgraded already!!!!
I feel like a FOOL

There are too many apps on SmartTVCast store, I don't know which one to choose. Luckily SmartTVCast is easy to use and it can also be cast on my TV

Excellent. I have 2 Smart LG, it works better with the 2021 model since the other 2012 model constantly disconnects. But it works perfectly with the right device

This is one of the best cast app if not the best. I went Pro through Premium menu option. Do NOT input your mank or card info through ads :vv

Very good results so far it is the option we were looking for to stream from my device to the Roku express

Good app. Can it cast multiple TVs at the same time, I have 2 at home so I want to cast both. Hopefully the application will develop this feature.

I just downloaded SmartTVCast. Paid the $9.99. It didn’t work so I restarted SmartTVCast and now it’s saying I have to pay again. It’s not even registering the fact that I just paid for it. I no longer have the option to screen cast and It wants to me pay again to try to cast…again. Smh just a waste.

SmartTVCast is pretty good to use, but it would be better without ads.

Be careful downloading SmartTVCast. I downloaded thinking it was a free app. When I tried to cast my phone to the Tv I was informed I needed the premium service and that they were offering a free trial for 3 days. Once I signed up for the three day free trial I was charged immediately. I think this is a scam and I do not recommend using it. BEWARE!

I love SmartTVCast so much, I wish I saw it sooner because my family loves to watch movies together

It's very useful when you don't have a laptop. I have cast on TV and work on my TV.

I purchased SmartTVCast for a specific event. I got my phone connected to the TV but it only worked for a second and the screen went black. I am over the fact it didn’t work for me. My issue is that I have asked them to confirm that there is no auto renewal or I want to cancel the auto renewal and the company still hasn’t confirmed that. I have asked them daily for the instructions to ensure I don’t get billed again for something that did not work. I continue to be asked about the model of my phone. The moment has passed, I don’t want to be charged again. I am starting to think that there is some sort of scam. I have looked around SmartTVCast and the directions say you have to cancel the auto renewal not to get charged again but it is very unclear how. The customer experience is terrible… please just tell me how to cancel the auto renewal!!!

There seems to be a problem I would get a screen on the top of my Samsung TV set allow connection, but I had no way to allow it. The remote would not move it up there. I can’t get up to that point, so consequently I can’t connect so I would rate this program. That is very unsatisfactory. I would not recommend it.

It took me awhile to figure out home videos, but once I got it I was so pleased. It’s a little pricey, but I’m glad I can use my chrome stick and didn’t need to buy another device.

I thought sure it would work after my was able to connect to the TV but my screen remained black and couldn’t see any photos or videos I was playing from my iPhone 13 Pro on Sharp Smart TV that was made in 2018. So I’ll be deleting SmartTVCast and no I would dare not pay the yearly fee for something that is not guaranteed to work. There is no reason why I should have to pay for to stream from my phone to a smart TV. This is wack!

I downloaded it filled out the info payed the money and the only thing SmartTVCast does is shut it self off every time I use it. I want a refund this was theft. No survive was provided. Also after paying the 30$ SmartTVCast closed it self and when I opened it again it asked for another 30$ like I didn’t pay it already. Horrible. This is why I’m sticking with strictly apple products.

BEWARE SmartTVCast costs $30 to use and will automatically charge you without your permission. Soon as a I opened SmartTVCast it said it costs a $30 subscription. I immediately said no thank you and closed app. Next thing you know, there’s a $30 charge on my account. Didn’t approve purchase or put my password in for my Apple ID to even purchase. Stay away.

This does not work I just paid SmartTVCast $20 so I could screen mirror and nothing even come up in my tv but SmartTVCast screen. A total scam. I want my money back!! If I could give SmartTVCast a -5 I would. Don’t download and if you do definitely don’t give them any money because it’s a scam.

Paid $20 for the annual subscription because that was the cheapest option it offered and it doesn’t even work with my tv. I have a Samsung 7 series. When I went to cancel my subscription so it doesn’t renew NEXT year it showed me much cheaper options…

Don’t waste your money on a subscription.
My RokuTV as appears does not support screen mirroring from iPhone. We had a full house of guests who we promised to to show pictures from our last trip. In a frenzy moment I tried SmartTV Cast and bought a subscription when realised that it won’t cast for free. It presented a button that once pressed blinked/glowed indicating that screen is mirroring. Thing is the whole TV screen was blinking in the rhythm of the button, even the button was no longer on screen. Screen was mirroring not for long, almost immediately it started lagging, forget about video or live photos, just showing simple pictures. Soon it was completely untethered to the phone seemingly reacting to change of screen happened long time before. Save money for something better

It is very to connect your TV, just need to press four button then finish! It is very surprise me🎉

I asked for a refund within an hour since it didn’t meet my needs.

Developer refused to give one and instead offered me some dumb trouble shooting after we had already figured out it couldn’t work for my advice.

Avoid this bad app.

Oh my God this is the best resolution and it doesn’t take a lot of time to get started. SmartTVCast has various functions that you may need. This is the best app if you’re looking for a screening app you should use this I promise you won’t be disappointed I mean the resolution is good you can even play games on it imagine you have a phone and a TV and you have SmartTVCast boom you’re a pro game in no time imagine
Been using this this year. Works really well. If your iOS device and receiver (tv) are near your WiFi, it will work fine. Give SmartTVCast a chance as it’s a great tool once you’ve figured it out 👏

Paid the subscription after screen sharing with a few photos and videos. When I tried to go to an app to watch a tv show it wouldn’t connect to the screen. It just showed SmartTVCast screen evens though the show was playing on my phone. Would love to get my money back for an app that doesn’t work.

Finally i've found an app that can cast photos and videos from my iphone directly to my fire tv.

They offer no kind of free trial, and there is a reason… because when you purchase it many of the apps that you would like to use this screen cast for are not compatible with SmartTVCast. On top of that they respond in no way to customer support emails , they offer forms of communication such as WhatsApp for customer support but when you try to message them it says you have to invite them to WhatsApp. I have emailed several times with no response. Don’t download and definitely DO NOT PAY

Fraud fraud fraud! Do not purchase. Not sure if it doesn’t work for every tv but it definitely did not work for mine. Instead of reimbursing me they ignored me until they charged me for service prior to any response even though I tried to get refunded almost immediately. After they denied me of a refund I disputed it with apple. Whatever fake claims they said to them denied me from getting reimbursed as well. I will now have to declare fraud from my bank. Lots of wasted time. Stay away!

I just downloaded SmartTVCast and it was able to connect to my tv, but it was super laggy and didn’t play any sound. Super disappointing.

A developer commented on my review and told me to contact support. I contacted customer support and they weren’t even able to help me. I literally used SmartTVCast for less than 15 minutes and wanted a refund and they couldn’t do that for me.

I purchased the lifetime app. When attempting to connect to my smart TV, the device shows that file was unable to be played. I emailed the developer as suggested if there were questions. Unfortunately to this date, I have not heard anything from them. Totally a waste of money with my experience of them assisting with issues.

This application drops the mirror at the 5 minute mark then you have to reset to bad I had to pay for it glad I only got the monthly not the yearly

Trying to connect my phone to Samsung tv. App says I am connected so I start broadcast and tv will switch but then says app is not compatible with my tv. It doesn’t provide any way for me to actually share what is on my screen. I paid for the lifetime version of SmartTVCast for it to not even work.

I downloaded and attempted to use SmartTVCast on 2 different tv’s though I only needed it on one. I couldn’t make it work properly and contacted the company for a refund as I paid for a year subscription. I have written now 3 times and am getting no response. If you want to try this, I urge you not to buy the year long subscription. It has been over $35 thrown in the trash for me.

I like SmartTVCast because I don’t have to use my HDMI cord anymore to display what I’m doing on my phone for my classes. However, it has quite a leg in it. It is one of the options and I will continue to use it and see if I can find ways to, make it better.

Since SmartTVCast popped up several requests to buy their subscription and review the product before I even had the chance to play around with it, this is the rating it has earned. There is a reoccurring subscription cost and if you’re not careful, it’ll even bring up Apple Pay to try to get you to pay for the full year price (not even the monthly price).

If an app tries this hard to get you to pay for it before you even get to demo the product, it’s probably not worth it.

App does not work with my TV. After following all of the troubleshooting advice within 30 minutes of downloading SmartTVCast, I contacted them explaining that SmartTVCast will not work with my TV and requested my subscription be cancelled and I am refunded my money. They responded with making sure both of my devices were connected to the same network. I already had done ALL of the troubleshooting to no avail. I’m disputing the charge with my bank. Terrible company, terrible customer service.
