I downloaded PhotoVault to test. Unfortunately the “Free premium version” app via AppAdvice is not free.

Sure, I’ll pay insane amounts for each picture for the privilege of trying your app. NOT!

Artificially gatekeeps basic feature to premium users to prevent them from adding files into PhotoVault . What a brilliant idea to kill engagement. It’s a shame PhotoVault held promise

PhotoVault used to work fine.. However, it wasn’t enough for the developers to charge “premium” version. Now all of the sudden, we have to be charged extra for more file imports! Because being “premium” user isn’t good enough! No previous warnings or consideration for current Premium users. Disappointing:(

Pay for photo imports is just wrong.

This usa bad way to make money , charge per encrpted images. Why not just sell PhotoVault for one time price instead of trying to fleece your customers?

I got a free upgrade to a premium level. It turns out that you only get a 25% discount for moving your pictures to PhotoVault after a small number of free initial “imports”.

You pay for imports in blocks of 50 or 100 in perpetuity. There are dozens of solid options that only require a nominal one-time IAP for premium features… a few good options that are free. Not worth it IMO unless it switches to a one-time premium IAP pricing model.

Sooo not has greed run amok with this developer (but) a lifetime premium account is neither premium or LIFETIME (just) a Bait & SWITCH + just a very unethical company with very questionable privacy concerns when reading their privacy policy and working with 3rd partners making it a huge privacy concern.

In re-cap just another greedy app developer who cares little about PhotoVault created and lifetime premium subscription (which is actually maybe a 30 day premium subscription 🙈😢🤮

Becoming a premium member allows you to upload 30 private photos. If you want to add more, you'll need to purchase again. Once your points are used up, you'll need to purchase again. This is a scam, so don't fall for it.

Avoid PhotoVault like the plague… I strongly urge you to steer clear of PhotoVault! As a premium account holder, I was extremely disappointed when the developers suddenly decided to limit imports for premium users and started charging for importing pictures and videos. Before making a decision, I recommend reading the numerous one-star reviews to truly grasp why PhotoVault is not worth your time or money. There are far superior photo vault apps available that offer better value for your money. Take my advice and avoid this sneaky app at all costs. AVOID! 🚫 #AvoidAtAllCosts #NotWorthlt 🚫

I downloaded PhotoVault for free through a promotion. I paid too much.

A bountiful selection of photo vault apps exists at PhotoVault Store, but what made this one stand out was the developer’s promise of a “premium” package that included “unlimited imports for free!” I certainly would not have wasted my time had I known that only the first 30 downloads were free, thereafter it would be necessary to purchase bundles of 30 photos for $3.99 each. I may be cheap, but I’m not insane.

I wrote to IDEANOLOGY, the developer (the nonsensical name should have warned me away from the start), and was smugly informed that the offer had been incorrectly published by the promotional site, which turned out to be the case; but what reputable company would not honor a printed commitment—even if it had been mistakenly offered? I guess the “premium” part of the promotion refers to the recurring high cost imposed upon PhotoVault ’s users.

I recommend that you count the WRITTEN 1 star reviews for Privoto and weigh them against those with 5 stars, and then look through the numerous photo vault apps available and select one that doesn’t routinely pick your pocket. Compare Privoto to Safteyzone which “offers a lifetime purchase as well as monthly/ yearly subscription options.”

“Premium Account” does NOT include ability to, ummmm, you know, UPLOAD PHOTOS.

You then have to pay for that privilege

Building a photo protection app where you have to pay to import the photos into PhotoVault is a scam. Disappointed, no stars.

After charging for imports ……

There is a limit of 50 imports after purchasing the premium IAP. If you want more imports you have to buy them perpetually in blocks… $4 - 30 pics, $8 - 100 pics. **no videos!!**. For this type of any app, the cost is worse than a subscription unless you get the premium IAP for free and will only use it for a small number of pics. Even then, the UX is poor.

They took away imports for premium accounts. How lame to find ways to charge people who paid for premium and had unlimited imports. Will be deleting...

PhotoVault is in arabic since the previous update! impossible to use

Very good considering about privacy, but for importing photos, PhotoVault needs to charge extra (maybe a continuous charging may needed) is really new and challenging thinking , which I would say, thanks and bye.

Need to add passcode with alphanumeric and patterns lock

It's a good app but it doesn’t tell you how to transfer from or to computer from the Ipad/Iphone app.

Can you guys add dark mode? That would be fantastic.

Amazing app honestly, does what it says. Automatically deletes photos in ur camera roll when you import which is nice.

Highly recommended. Easy access and very covert

I rate PhotoVault very highly. One suggestion to make it better is option to alphabetize folders. Otherwise, best photo privacy out there!
