What’s The Point of This App?

I’ve wasted enough time trying to figure out how to use this silly app. There are a ton of apps out there that can do all these things and more and that actually offer instructions on their use. This seems like nothing more than edgy graphic decor. Yes, it is boring. A more pertinent name for this collection of nothing might be “not useful.”

Don’t waste your time!

Silliest app ever!

Aesthetic And Cumbersome

I was really excited opening NotBoringHabits and seeing/feeling how lovely it is, but I just can’t imagine this being practical for anyone who has more than one habit. There was way too much focus on adding Minecraft music and far too little paid to navigation.

Great Concept. Poor Usability.

The tone of the interface has such a fun attitude that it’s such a nice break from the mundane habit / tasks apps out there. Completing a task is such a blast.

However, once you actually try to use it, NotBoringHabits falls apart. Ambiguous icons without labels, unintuitive swipes that reveal different views (but also accidentally rotating the 3D trophy to no end), no consolidated list / calendar view of all of your habits, focusing the entire app experience on building a 3D model (how does this help?) etc.

It’s a shame - this is a great experimental app with some of the best micro-animations & interactions of any app. Too bad it didn’t seem to focus on what the user actually needs to do.

No instructions

Designs are beautiful and I’m a generally fan of Andy’s apps and want to use NotBoringHabits- but it’s a headscratcher. Vague science and no specifics about the steps to change the habit on NotBoringHabits 🤔. Is it JUST checking the box that changes the habit or do u need to stay with the animations and does that change the habit?
Terrible UI too- confusing to navigate . Please fix because it feels like the start of a really useful app…

Fun habits app, but could use some tweaks

NotBoringHabits is great. It motivates me to do a simple habit each day simply through the easter eggs that you get after checking off each day. One thing I wish was different: It’s hard to switch between habits. The habit selector is at the top of the screen, which is painful to reach. It’s be awesome if you could swipe between habits.

Fun & beautiful to play

It really works to make the mundane something I look forward to- so I can check off the next level and find out what happens next. And it’s SO pretty!

Love

All of the (not boring) apps are the best I would like a (not boring) clock

Simple and motivating!

Simple and beautiful tool to work toward a goal especially for someone like me who doesn’t typically like tracking.

Amazing.

NotBoringHabits is something so helpful and simple, yet no one else has thought to do it. More people should know about and support this.

Very satisfying

It is very satisfying to hold down a button to check off a day's work on a habit and get actual physical feedback from my phone as I do so. Much nicer than just tapping a "complete" button on a reminder list! This is great, like all Andy Works apps.

You have to get it.

All of the Andy Works apps are fantastic—fun, engaging, addictive. None have been my go-to until Habits, though. You have to get it—engage with the prices, enjoy the Andy-brand of feedback, and be willing to focus on one habit at a time. But when you do, I think it’s a joy.

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!

This works so well!!! So far I don’t even remember what the habit that I was trying to get rid of was !!!!!!!!!
