Julian‘s Editor: Create & Play Reviews

I’ve always wanted to make games, but I’m not good at programming languages like C++. I used engines like bloxels all the time. It was okay, it just felt to limited. I remember the summer I found this, it was a hidden gem. Not only can you make games, you can post, make videos, post assets on to the asset shop, and more! There is also a great community to help out, and good and caring moderators. I even put my favorite video game character of all time I made, Pngman. I eventually got a LOT of fans, and I found the right audience. Julian’s Editor is a great place to start, with its inspirational creators and devs. I’ve never had a problem with JuliansEditor. I would like to request an update, I was wondering if you guys would be able to add more than 64 frames in an animation, so that if I wanted to add animated cutscenes, I could import smooth ones.

This is, by far, one of the best creative platforms on any device, period. The community is active and mostly friendly, and the games are really easy to make, while also having a level of complexity that makes them unique. Not all games are equal. But there are flaws. The singleplayer features don’t show in multiplayer games but they are absolutely there. When a game starts, players can’t join in after the lobby. But the fact that the games are cross-platform no matter what means that it’s easy to share games to your friends and just hop on. Also, there’s an asset store so if you’re not really good at drawing your assets you can just buy them. Making assets is easy and the moderation isn’t insanely strict. Therefore, it is the most open game creation platform on iOS.

I think it’s a really cool concept, where you can make your own characters and games with your own designs. But I feel like it’s kinda of unfinished in a way that makes it hard to do things. Like trying to draw your pfp, for one the shape tool, it doesn’t show you where your going to place it, no layers, and there isn’t a way to touch the color on your drawing so then if you lose it then it’s gone forever. I feel like the stuff to make your own characters and games is a little bit complicated and where to find it. I’m not trying to be harsh, but I feel like these are one of problems that is wrong with the game. I feel like if you fix these problems, it be a way more polished game.

I love the community and hope they keep growing up to be amazing and make people happy there the Only free good app that u will find and at first I remember a app that that I deleted but I instead installed it again and here i am I've made friends and learn some thing like how to type like 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 so for for all to here and to sum it up it has a friendly community a shop games and more u can make post and more but I've probably said too much so I'll let u choose if u like it or not and again thank u Julian and rocket and other working together to make a better place in this world😸

This is a very good app, and I love making games, but one thing I’m worried about is the sensitive content warning, I was adding my friend to my pack of characters then it said sensitive content warning even though nothing was wrong, the character i added was BLACK!, and they said that is sensitive content, so please, just fix the sensitive content rules, please

It's a good simple game for games and it's fun to use, but sometimes it's really hard to use, like it'll crash or freeze every now and then or be laggy and glitch out. I don't know of its because of the latest updates or my storage or my device but otherwise it's a great app

EDIT: So I don't know of this is a bug or not but when I try and draw every since the update it zooms in to the left side and it's really weird. It made drawing really annoying and hard so can you please fix that bug or of it isn't a bug can you make a settings option or something to disable it because I don't like it at all

I love JuliansEditor it’s the only app that’s free and lets me get friends on it and make games! I’ve been on JuliansEditor for so long now that I remember this old sprites! But some thing I kinda don’t like. 1. The thing when I get kicked out of JuliansEditor every hour or minute, 2. You need to ad more tiles, more dec, more actors, more items, and more wepons! I just think JuliansEditor would be 100 times better! Thank you Julian’s editor!!! You made my dream come true!

I don’t know if I have to rate it or not but I think it’s a good game so I’ll give you 5 stars but there’s something wrong. It won’t let me download for iPad and I have enough storage for it but it won’t let me download it somehow so can you please fix this? I even commented in ur tiktok videos that it does not work, please can you fix this? I’m begging you! I tried everything and u said ios is available but I’m ios and it won’t work!!! Please fix this

Hi whoever is reading this I love JuliansEditor and it has an amazing community and I love how you can do so much on it. I just think that maybe (please) add more game modes that you can build off of like maybe a tower defense, first person stuff etc. not forcing you too but I think it would make the game MUCH more popular and I would love it.

It is a very well made game I’m having so much fun in it though there is a bug that I have encountered many times. Sometimes when I am creating something. The game freezes then I have to close JuliansEditor without it saving. The thing I recommend to fix this is to maybe make an autosave feature, that’s just my thought though

I’m not able to use it in the country I’m in because I don’t have internet. I downloaded JuliansEditor at a friends house because I thought I’d be able to use it. But because I don’t have my own internet it’s been sitting here doing nothing. JuliansEditor looks really good, it’s such a shame I can’t see it’s full potential.

Please add an offline option if possible. I’d love JuliansEditor ten times more.

1. For people struggling to make tower defense games with rpg mode, can you guys make a tower defense game mode?
2. Can you improve the shop?
3. Can you make it easier to create assets?
4. Can you add some other stuff to items and stuff? (Like a vision increasing thing)
5. Can u add a vision decreasing and other mechanics?

All I’m waiting for is online mode so I’m waiting for it to come I made some games but I wanted to make my game towers vs zombies have an arena mode where friends can play together please make it faster I will give you 5 star when you add online mode but expect that the game is great! :From Uriah: :to rocket:

It is güd, (pronounced good) no, It’s GREAT! It’s the best game making game on my tablet! It’s also very easy! If you like to make games and draw and animate your own stuff, the game is 4 you! I love this game! It da best! My name on it squidly_diddly! You can also donate G coins to games to and with the multiplayer update you can create multiplayer games too! My name is now Powstudios.

Basically this is a good game but I have some problems with it. Talking about the script to script is really hard. In the tutorial it should teach you how to script in Julian's Editor. Also add back the old scripts but please don’t delete the new script. That’s all. Btw I’m 16 and my brother (Guest1234) is 20. He has the same problems.

I feel like there needs to be an option to put music in the game, that’s all :) unless that’s already possible and just don’t know how to do it?

This game is great and I definitely recommend it to other people. BUT you guys HAVE to bring back the old shop mechanic, it was so cool how you could create your own background and shop keeper but now it just a pop up. PLEASE BRING IT BACK

This game is absolutely amazing but a problem I am having is that it can crash quite a bit. I’m not sure if it’s my device or not though.

Way easier to use, and sometimes a friendly community. I have been using scratch alot, so I can get the hang everything quickly.

Seriously it never works ever so why is it there either make it work or remove it also you can’t edit posts so if you do something wrong it’s just stuck like that forever can you please change that as well

Hello developers! I love Julian’s editor as you can share the community what you are capable of, allow people to make remixes of your creations or simply just play other people’s games. But tbh, I would recommend that you fix the UI editor so that you can move a part of the UI to a location different than on a different device. Here is an example: I want to place a button in the middle of the screen for both devices instead that it forces you to to make it that it is in the middle of the screen for phone, and out of the screen for the tablet. Or I can put the move button in the middle for phone, and can make it top right for tablet. - D@n_ny

I love JuliansEditor ! 1: But in drawing please make a button to make your drawing look realistic, but don’t count as the import button, and you can sell it. 2: make a how to draw a animal/human to help you draw it, but it costs 10 G coins. 3: maybe make it where you can import pictures on cover to make your game show it has those pictures! 4: make it where you can add ages on your game so all ages of people can play. 5: make it where one shape is where it’s a triangle. 6: pay 23 g coins to make the game when your drawing a character you type what animal or person you drew and it will animate for you, it does not count as import though.

The game is overall great. The concept is amazing, the developers did amazing, the game turned out amazing. There are small flaws like any other game. But please, please read this devs! From what I’ve seen, there is no log out button! I’ve recently lost my account but there was no option to log in. PLEASE add a way to log into a different account, and if there is a way then please reply under this review because I can’t get it back.

First of all, the game is amazing! You have endless amounts of creativity to make what ever you want. But, you have to import other people’s music for your game. I think there should be an update were you can create your own music. This way, you can have special music for your own game instead of using someone else’s music. Please respond 😕

As a young artist I absolutely LOVE JuliansEditor, I adore the drawing and animation software, it is simple but very well done ( and that’s coming from someone who usually uses procreate) it is a great opportunity to practice salesmanship, coding and general creativity. It also has a super fun community!

One recommendation, it would be really great if you could create and sell assets for avatars.

Julian’s Editor is a fun, silly, goofy programming engine but there’s 1 minor problem… (I know this one is gonna come someday but) Multiplayer only has 1 map and possibly could use some randomizing for example: multiplayer hide and seek, Instead of having 1 role for 1 player, Have a random role thing in the Script. But overall this is a good game. 4/5 Stars.

Hello! I really like Julian editor! And have been working on some games, I use a iPad, and I don’t like how I have to be in portrait mode when in JuliansEditor , it would be so cool if It rotates to fit my screen. Also can we have more camera control?

Despite there being only two game templates this engine is surprisingly flexible. My only recommendation would be to make a premade badge/ achievement system where game creators can make an achievement for impressive things done in game like, beating the whole game, getting a certain high amount of a certain item, or custom achievements with custom names and logos. The outside of the game where the comments would be would have the achievements displayed above the comments and below the previews.

Every time I get soo far into a game while making, it the whole app kicks me out, and when I go back in my game is not there anymore. plus I would like for the game to have a save two drafts button, so if I go out of this game to work on another, I can rest assuring that my work is saved. Could you please add this feature?
And is there something wrong with my device or is it just JuliansEditor ?

Hello! So I saw this game when I was looking to find a game where you can create the actual game, and it said it was 9+, and I was 9+ (Keep that in note) so I got it. Then it said to sign in. And I used my Gmail, worked, then I put in my birth year. I put it in, then once I FINALLY got it it said this, “you need to be at least 13 years old. You are ten years old. come back in 1220 day(s).” First of all, WHAT?! Second of all, IT SAID THAT ITS 9+, NOT 12+! THIRD OF ALL, IM NOT TEN. PLEASE TELL ME WHY THE AGE RATING IS INCORRECT! I CANT BELIEVE THAT LOTS OF YOUR PLAYERS ARE NINE OR TEN! AN YOUR MAKING MONEY FROM THIS MISTAKE, WHAT ABOUT YOU LET NINE OR TEN YEARS OLD TO PLAY THIS GAME SO THEY HAVE THE FREEDOM OF CODING, WITH SIMPLE BRICKS WHICH THEY CAN USE!

So it’s needs a 3D engine stuff and most importantly you should be able to have more then 1 developer for one game like you should be able to invite your friends while developing your game and they will be able to help develop with u and make stuff into your game and there can only be a limit of unlimited

Ive been using Julian's editor for a few months and have gotten extremely good at scripting on here. But I've encountered major issues such as:
1. It infinitely loads everything once i get off JuliansEditor then back on so i have to log out then back in every time i want to use it again
2. I don't know if this is linked to the infinite loading thing but if i use Julian's editor for too long (like an hour and a half) it automatically crashes and a lot of times my progress doesn’t save (also it tends to crash more frequently after that for the rest of the day)

Every game making software I got before this had like 3 things and you had to buy everything else. But this is all free and the only time there are adds is when you want coins to buy things but you can just make it.

This is only 4 stars because not being able to save data tables when you save your game is stopping me from achieving my dream game. If you could have a toggle to save specific data tables when you save your game while playing, my game could actually become a reality. The issue is I’m using data tables to save the party in game, it holds their stats and everything. It doesn’t save whenever you save your game, however. If that could save, I wouldn’t have to waste variables on it and my game would be a lot less laggier. Thank you for reading.

yeah it's just what the title says I can't download it now it's probably just a glitch with my iPad so him the game is fine I loved it but I can't re-download it so I have to be using a different game developing app to build my games

I was making my game and I was working on a item in my game and then like the map kind of changed. My npc character moves shifter more to the left so it made the game look ugly but I don’t know if it was item which most likely wasn’t he problem, I mean I’ve played the game for a year now but I’m not an expert, and I already published the game but I’m making it better and during when I was adding changes that’s when it happened I would be less mad if there weren’t other things I made after I published the game…

JuliansEditor is great, but one, I wish it had Computer support, Second, I hope you will make it to where you can put your games on Google Play, App Store, and others so it would make it to where you could be an actual game developer, and you could just add something that says “Made in Julian’s Editor” it would be cool
