Finally!

I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. What seems to be a chronic hormonal issue for me is desperately hard to explain to doctors without appropriate data, and my symptoms just aren’t in any stock “tracking” app. This one has calm colors with excellent user interface and is just generally easy to understand and use. I’m so thankful I don’t have to try to make an app- it wouldn’t be this good anyway. The only thing I was hoping for which this *doesn’t* have is an overlapping color-coded line graph. It would be lovely to see where multiple symptoms spike or dip simultaneously, in order to evaluate treatment methods. That being said, I’ll definitely keep using SymptomTracker . So very grateful I found it!

It’s a great app with only one downfall

It’s a great customizable and comprehensive app for tracking day to day symptoms. It’s simple and straightforward. You can add new symptoms and choose from varying degrees of symptoms and add noyes to each day. it tracks symptoms on an easy to read chart and reminds you to track your symptoms regularly. The only downfall I can think of is that it tracks symptoms by the day and doesn’t allow for multiple entries in 1 day. You can update your overall daily symptoms but not add a new log. I’ve looked everywhere in SymptomTracker for the ability to add several logs in one day but I can’t find it anywhere making SymptomTracker inefficient for what I need (I need something that allows for multiple entries each day instead of just a daily tracker) but I will continue to use it for now and just add daily updates into the daily notes section. Overall, it’s a great app and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to track daily symptoms.

Great Symptom Tracker with Reporting

I’ve never used a symptom tracker before so I have nothing to compare this all to, but I have to say I’m quite pleased with it. It’s very flexible, in that it allows you to track as many symptoms as you’d like… add and track as many treatments as you’d like… and each day has a free-form field where you can add comments to cover extra details/observations for the day.
The reporting feature is great! It offers visual graphs of symptoms over time, and treatments over time. These graphs can be exported and emailed or texted to you in a PDF document. It will also take all of your entries, including the detailed comments field, and dump them into a CSV spreadsheet you can also text/email to yourself. I actually exported reports and printed them out yesterday to bring along for an appt, and my doctor actually used them as a visual during the appt to understand timeframes, and determine when to stop with a certain treatment.
All in all, this is a great app, runs well and I’m very happy with it. Highly recommend.

Personalized Symptoms

This is the only app I’ve been able to find that will allow me to input my own symptoms to track and choose how I want to rate each symptom. With a wide variety of symptoms and no current diagnosis, being able to track anything I think might be informative is extremely helpful. Other apps will limit number of symptoms of amount of information you can track per day, or they will only allow you to choose from a drop down list of curated options which don’t always apply.

Helped me feel less crazy

I’ve had on and off health issues forever, but a while back I noticed I was having more off-days than usual. I logged my symptoms every day for four months and ended up getting diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I don’t think I would have gotten my diagnosis so fast if I hadn’t kept track of everything that was going on, since it’s such a hard condition to diagnose. SymptomTracker is simple and straightforward and definitely my favorite out of all the trackers I’ve tried.

Excellent App. Responsive Developer

I tried about 6 different symptom tracking apps and found this one to be the best. The others were all complicated and it was time consuming to make entries, whereas this one is quick and simple yet still effective. It allows you to custom modify your symptoms/metrics. You can also export all your data to pdf or csv. And a huge commendation to the developer who took my feedback on board and implemented my requested enhancement - can’t ask for much more than that! Thanks.

So far so good

I’ve been having reoccurring episodes of some sort of chest pain with breathing problems. ER said everything was fine so I went looking for an app to track any symptoms I have and the days that I have them to better try to figure out what’s going on. SymptomTracker seems great. You can input your own symptoms and track the severity of them. If you want to use the free app, you can only input five symptoms so you have to get creative. but so far so good. I think this will help me figure out what’s going on.

Took me a minute

I may just not be very tech savvy and I was having major brain fog when I downloaded this, so take this with a grain of salt. Took me a minute to figure out that I could input multiple symptoms, it’s not super intuitive. That being said, once I figured it out, I really like it. I can input my own symptoms instead of having a preset list. I do struggle to gauge the levels of severity, but I think that’s a me issue, not an issue with SymptomTracker . Overall, I recommend SymptomTracker if you’re trying to keep track of your medical life/health.

Just what I needed!

I have been looking for an app to EASILY track specific symptoms. Previously I had to deal with entering times (ie symptoms started at 10am, ended at whenever) or I had to choose from a list of symptoms that didn’t exactly work for me. Or, worse, it was screen after screen to enter them.

With SymptomTracker, it’s a single screen and so convenient that I’ve already tracked more consecutive days than other apps. This will go a long way to helping me get a handle on my health and giving my doctor more accurate information.

Great app, very helpful

SymptomTracker is great for tracking the frequency and intensity of my symptoms, and allows me to have physical data over time to show my doctor at visits. I expected there to be a paywall for number of symptoms you could enter or something like that, but if there is, I’ve not yet encountered it. It’s extremely user friendly, and you can set it up to remind you daily to enter in your symptoms of the day. It also lets you edit previous entries or add one for the day prior if you missed one. 10/10, would definitely recommend.

Good for tracking multiple chronic conditions

I mainly chose this particular app because I was concerned about data privacy with the free symptom tracker apps. I don’t want my private health information linked to me and sold to other parties. I am happy with SymptomTracker so far! It is easy to edit add new symptoms or treatments as they come up. I like that you can choose btwn different rating/severity scales for symptoms. There is an option to rearrange symptoms but I wasn’t able to get them to actually move around for some reason. Filling out the day’s entry is quick and the notes section is helpful.

Perfectly customizable

I downloaded about 15 different apps to try to find one that fit what I was looking for. The great thing about SymptomTracker, and the reason I use this one and deleted all the others, is that it’s completely customizable. You simply tell SymptomTracker which symptoms and “treatments” you’d like to track. Tracking is easy, takes 1 minute, and details can be added in the notes section. This is exactly what I need and is probably exactly what you need even if our needs are very different. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful for Chronic Illness

SymptomTracker is absolutely wonderful for those who suffer from chronic illnesses with multiple symptoms. I have been able to create as many symptoms as I want, and there are several different scales. You can choose from to rate those symptoms. I like that it also has a feature where you can list the treatments that you have tried to help ease those symptoms. There is also a place to write notes which I find very valuable. The only thing that would make us better is to attach photos of your symptoms. I plan on continuing to track my symptoms and treatments throughout the year and can look at the charts to see how I have progressed. There is also a nice feature where you can download it as a PDF and give it to your physician. Absolutely fantastic and I wish I had found this up sooner is absolutely worth a $40 a year subscription especially if you need to keep track of all of your symptoms. Don’t forget you can always write off that $40 as a medical expense and claim it on your taxes!

Exactly what I needed!

I have moderate to severe social anxiety and general anxiety resulting in really fun (sarcasm) symptoms like executive dysfunction, panic attacks, sensory overstimulation, and more. This is exactly what I needed to track those!

I’ve only been using this for a day, but I love this. From what I can tell, it’s completely free, the symptoms are wonderfully customizable, and it has great options to edit past entries. The colors are gorgeous and I think the achievements are genius, I often struggle with an extreme fear of doing the things I need to get done and the achievements motivate me to check one more thing off the list.

Great job designing this, Adam!

Great functionality

I’ve been using a physical calendar book to keep track of symptoms for several years and wishing I knew how to develop an app…well, this is what I had in mind! I love that I always have it with me, too. And it makes it so easy to input info.

The only thing I’d like to add would be to be able to see symptoms all on the same screen for a whole month or at least a week…even if you could only select a few at a time. I can’t fully give up my calendar until that becomes a thing because I need to see how they all relate and that’s hard to do here. Love it overall!

Good

I'm finding it useful. I can take as many notes as I need to identify pain flare-ups and triggers. Viewing my progress gives me hope and helps me make sense of my pain.

Pricing info as of August '22: Paid version is $40/year. Free version lets you track 5 symptoms and 5 treatments. You can view 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day charts. Behind a paywall are 1-year charts, and backlogged 7-day charts. More than 5 symptoms and/or treatments requires upgrading to premium. Also with free version you can print a 7-day report as a PDF. If you want printed reports you'll have to remember every week. Behind a paywall are 30-day, 90-day, and 1-year printable reports.

Great for tracking your daily symptoms

I’m using that in order to be able to keep track of all my (numerous) symptoms to help the doctors find out what’s happening with my health. It also helps me to discharge from my mind all this information and to get it organized. Would be great to add more entries per day, as well as to group days (for example, to make a comparison between one week taking some medication and difference of symptoms within next week with a different medication.
Also, in order to deal with autoimmune diseases, tracking meals could help to find out what else is affecting, so not only having reactors and treatments but also triggers or ingested elements.
Thank you for your work!!!

Excellent Symptom Tracker

I did a different symptom tracker when I went to pain management for 9 months. I hated that one because important information wasn’t included. With this one you have control of the symptoms you have and what you feel is important. You can use the number pain scale or just low, moderate, or severe. You can add what medication you took and how much throughout the day. Also if the medication helped. It also has a place for notes. Many of these features weren’t on the other doctors app. I can also print out charts and bring it to my doctor who’s seeing me now. I really love this one. It’s easy to use and I don’t have to wreak my brain to figure out what my pain levels are. Well done app design people. I applaud you.

Loving This!!!!

It’s pretty friendly and intuitive. I created my five free symptom types and exported a report to my Mac. It’s clear and easy to read. I’d be interested in a CSV export, but I imagine they might add that. There are three levels of symptom. I’d like more, but it does make the report clean and easy to read. I highly advise tracking symptoms. It helps me to find cause and effect. It helped me avoid a potentially anaphylactic reaction to advil, which initially seems unrelated to breathing difficulties. I manually log diet entries like sugar, alcohol and refined grains to see if it affects sinus issues, so tracking symptoms is very helpful! This is a great app for that! Update: I wrote a review and was upgraded and I’m able to add a plethora of symptoms and treatments. I added my Physical Therapy treatments to track what we worked on and also my PT exercises. This is awesome and will help me keep on track!!!! It even has a spot for notes! Suggestion, add a way to pay you.

Perfect for chronic illness

When I was diagnosed with tick borne illnesses including Lyme disease, SymptomTracker helped me recognize changes in my symptoms over time. It’s one thing to think you feel well or unwell, but you can really see how you improve when you compare the 7-, 30- and 90-day reports. Especially when you want to report how you’re doing to providers, SymptomTracker is handy to pill out when they ask.

So easy to customize. I like that you can add treatments and notes too. Love SymptomTracker!
