Dear developers, women are human beings whose biological functions are not predictable to the exact day of every month of every year. Nor are their cycles consistent in length. To make PeriodTracker lock in a schedule and not allow the users to choose which day of a given month they actually started their period renders PeriodTracker useless.
Even if you are marketing this to only women with EXTREMELY predictable cycles, they will find PeriodTracker inaccurate eventually. Because even the most predictable cycles will be off on occasion. After a few “off” cycles, PeriodTracker ’s predictions will be wrong by a week or more. The only fix the user can do to correct this is shorten the cycle time for the next cycle then change it back again after their period ends. Who wants to do all that when there are plenty of other apps where you can just choose the day you start and PeriodTracker calculates the days from there?
I’m 13 and gotten my period only four times. My periods are very unpredictable and I don’t know exactly how long my periods last, one lasted 25 days and another only 7 days. When PeriodTracker asked me how long my periods were or the time between them I didn’t know what to say as it varies. PeriodTracker is said to be 4+ but girls first starting their period don’t know exactly how long they last until about two years past and your period becomes more predictable. I can see how this can help woman with tracking their period but with an unpredictable period it doesn’t help me.
I had high hopes for PeriodTracker and was excited to use it and start tracking. But as soon as you set it up it asks for how long your period is and the duration of your cycle. Isn’t that what tracking is suppose to help you find out?! There were no options to bypass the questions or any option of “I don’t know” I decided to just use 5 days for the first (although I am irregular and have short and long periods) but then when I got to the second prompt of the cycle duration I just got frustrated again! So now here we are and I’m looking for another app that will help me track my periods without filling out info about my period when that’s the entire reason I was looking for a tracking app in the first place 🙄
Okay I went into using PeriodTracker and found it to be visually appealing and decided I liked this one better than all the rest only based on visuals…SO WRONG. It doesn’t let you change when your ovulating so it can correctly calculate your period but if you put in your period it pushes the ovulation out no matter if you have it set. NOT USER FRIENDLY I don’t understand crap apparently when it comes to using PeriodTracker . Putting in symptoms is about the only thing that’s easy to change the rest just has a specific algorithm it uses and doesn’t let you fix it based on your specific needs.
Yes PeriodTracker will track your period but unlike other apps there isn’t much I can log. After a while my logged data goes away. And I wish I could add more like exercise levels, when is best to take a pregnancy test is something is off, the symptoms I can log is just very vague. Like if you have PCOS or any sort of irregular period this isn’t going to help all that much. They need to add more to PeriodTracker.
I like that it tells me when my next period is supposed to be, but sometimes I start a few days earlier or a few days late. And I tried editing the settings and adding my period but nothing in really working and it will still be like “no ur start in 3 days”. Idk if I just don’t know how to use PeriodTracker or what butttt. Also, the only thing it does is estimate when you’ll get ur period and you can add your symptoms, but it just records it for fun. I will say it’s the bare minimum but don’t let this stop you from getting PeriodTracker.
This all is free which I love! Unfortunately PeriodTracker is not what I am looking for when it comes to my 11yr who just started her first period. If you are looking for just a simple basic starter app to track your cycle or your child’s cycle then this is PeriodTracker for you! I do like that it has reminders. I wish that PeriodTracker would acknowledge the age of acknowledge a “first time” because you don’t know how long your cycle is if it’s the first time you’ve ever experienced a period, you don’t know anything and there’s no options for that in PeriodTracker . I also wish that there was some articles or even videos such as tips and advice for young girls just experiencing for the first time. Other than that PeriodTracker is good.
I can click that I started my period one day (say September 30) but when it changes to October, it doesn’t count me starting in September. My normal period is 4 days long. But August into September was 8 days long cause I’m having a health issue and it didn’t save my August end of August days. I’m gonna have to find a better app that will save it cause I need to track it better for the doctors. I do however like that I can say how heavy it is or if I’m spotting. Other than that, it’s not the best app.
PeriodTracker is great: it gives notifications for ovulation, PMS, and period start without having 50 gagillion ads or trying way too hard like some of the other trackers. I try to cut down on screen overstimulation, so any chance I get to simplify my apps I take gladly. Wonderful app, keep up the great work developers.
I think that it should have more fun colors or maybe a happy icon taking that fact that it is made for teens, I personally think bright, FUN, and nice colors would get A LOT of attention from teens!😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m not saying that the there’s anything wrong with the icon or the colors I just think it’s a good idea to make them more FUN! -Random person🤪
I used to use another app for tracking my period but it would always bring up minutes-long ads. PeriodTracker doesn’t have those annoying adds and the interface is really pretty and easy to use. Love PeriodTracker!
I just downloaded PeriodTracker and had it set up in a few minutes. I love the simplicity and ease of use. I’ve tried using other and the crap ads that would pop up, the extra stuff they added is just not needed and all the in app purchases just to try to get a simple track.
Love PeriodTracker so far!
PeriodTracker is great if you’ve just started your period and if your looking for an app that’s JUST A CALENDAR. A lot of apps that I’ve tried have articles, videos, and lots of other stuff that can just get in the way, as well as some of the extra content not being appropriate for my age group. PeriodTracker is great for the ONE thing it does, which is exactly what I need!
I’ve been using PeriodTracker for a little while now, it as been helpful. As a teenager, I have so many stuff to do like school, friends, my boyfriend, and college applications. I never had the brain space to remember the date of my period. PeriodTracker perfectly displays when my period is and my full cycle.
PeriodTracker is entirely free it doesn’t pull a free trial and ask you your symptoms only while you’re sometimes it means you can keep track of them is awesome especially for young children and even adults it tells you when you’re gonna get your next one and how long you’re gonna have yours and when yours is going to end this is an awesome app this is a must
So I was looking for a period tracker app that gives me an estimate of each month when my period will come and PeriodTracker has 12 months worth of the estimated months tracking your period. PeriodTracker really comes in handy so for example if you are going on a vacation in the summer and it’s January now it can track your estimated period six months from now I really recommend using PeriodTracker.
I just left PeriodTracker EVE and yes I’m calling them out, I’ve had even for 4years. They have always tried to get me to pay but it was ignorable, however as of a few months ago, I’m getting pops like I’m in a casino. It’s not that deep- give me an app that tracks my period and gives me a heads up. PeriodTracker does that. It’s simple and straightforward, I was able to add my previous months because they were logged on to the other app.
In all the period apps I have used this one might have to be the best for kids of 10 and up!teenagers, adults, and preteens can use this amazing app to see whenever their period will start or start again!I have used so many apps just to be disappointed but PeriodTracker just made me realize PeriodTracker was the one!I do hope all of you use it for your preteens, teenagers,or yourself!have a great day and make sure to get PeriodTracker or check it out today!
I have always had trouble tracking when my periods are and predicting when they will come, or how many days they last. PeriodTracker is super helpful. It’s not complicated to use and navigate, and I love the super simple design. I love how it doesn’t beg you to subscribe or make any payments at all unlike other apps. I absolutely love how it tells me to when I’ll be ovulating and when I have a low chance of getting pregnant. It’s simple, easy, cute, and informational…10/10 I will continue to use PeriodTracker for a long time.
I love this so much that I almost want to gatekeep. PeriodTracker is so pretty, love the colors, and super easy to use. I like the cycle and the calendar on the side, and it’s really simple to just tap in the days you have your period rather than jump through a million steps to input data.
