No way to sign up without TMI

I chose to delete this app before using it because they give no way to sign up except a cell number, or through Google, Facebook, or Apple. Which would give them access to a lot of personal data. Sad. It seemed like a fun app.
UPDATE: I received a response from the developer claiming “We do not use any of your personal information when you are onboarding. We simply use your first, middle and last name to personalize thousands of HiNOTES to create your own digital stationery box, curated just for you. “
But not at all addressing the fact you must supply your cell number.

You do realize that millions of us do not own a cell phone, right? I cannot even get past the first screen on your app without typing in a mobile phone number. Too bad because I have three iPads and two iPods, all with the latest iOS software; your app is something I would use.

Is there a way to pay for a version which doesn’t have the logo and the link to the download?
I would use this exclusively if it didn’t have the link and large logo, but as it is now, I won’t be using it anymore. It’s such a great idea and so clever and really lovable, just hate the attachment and the big red logo on my text messages two times.
