Chairgun Elite Ballistic Tool Reviews

I typed in all the information which takes forever. Then it’s telling me to drop down my radical 6 MOA at 30 yard I’ll be shooting into my foot. Absolutely waste of time for Airguns. I’m not sure any gun flies upwards six MOA at 30 yards from the barrel when I’m siting in at 10 yards.

The original chairgun app by Hawke Optics was awesome, but it has been discontinued now for about five years… Unfortunately, this version does not allow you to input velocities or edit data as far as I can tell… Not a very intuitive app… It states that there are over 500 pellets to choose from, but if you are not able to enter your specific airgun’s velocity, then not sure how ChairgunEliteBallisticTool is helpful… Maybe I am just not understanding how to use ChairgunEliteBallisticTool, but again does not seem very functional or intuitive…

I have recently purchased ChairgunEliteBallisticTool, thinking I could use it for my different scopes as I entered a couple of my scopes, I have noticed that ChairgunEliteBallisticTool does not contain a side Turret for windage just the top one. I have sent a couple emails out about a month ago and still no response.

Is ChairgunEliteBallisticTool still being updated? Nothing has happened since Apr 2024 and no response from the support email

ChairgunEliteBallisticTool works most times. I was doing a long range shooting day and it started to give me poor dope. I tried rebooting and it went to a white screen of death. I rebooted again and another white screen of death. Started randomly working again later in the evening I am glad I had back up apps to allow me to keep shooting the rest of my range session. Works fine now though.

ChairgunEliteBallisticTool provides a good solution in a clear format. It is fairly intuitive to set up and use. Only downside is that the horizontal correction is reversed. With a left to right wind, you should be holding or dialing to the left, but ChairgunEliteBallisticTool gives a right correction.

Enjoy ChairgunEliteBallisticTool. It’s easy to use and like the amount of information it gives you. There are several bugs, one of which I’ve reported regarding density altitude calculation but otherwise good app.

Took a bit to figure things out but now is great…going to shoot long range this week and will know for sure. Will probably upgrade to 5 stars but just haven’t been able to apply full app yet

Noticed today that when you enter wind direction and then look at the scope reticle page for target hold position, the point of aim is 180 deg out. In other words if wind is blowing right to left, the reticle hold position in ChairgunEliteBallisticTool has your target on the left side of zero. This is 180 deg out. You should be holding on the right side of zero as the wind will push your projectile to the left.

This is an awesome app but I just have one request. Can you add the Bushnell Match Pro ED in MOA? You have it in MIL but if you could add the MOA variant, I would gladly switch to the paid version and change to 5 stars as that’s the scope I use. Thanks!

I was previously using Strelok Pro but Apple shut it down so, I searched for an app that was intuitive and easy to use and Chairgun Elite + fits all of the requirements. I don’t own a Kestrel so the wind feature in ChairgunEliteBallisticTool is really handy when on the range. If you have the proper information you can get first round hits!

I’ve been looking for an alternative to Strelok. This is it.

This seems to be an amazing replacement for Strelok. Same inputs very easy transition.

I found this after Strelok (which is awesome) was taken off ChairgunEliteBallisticTool Store. This does everything Strelok Pro does and then some. Thank You to the creator of this!!

This thing owns, just starting to figure it out but it has so many features it’s impressive

A great tool that helps take the guess work out of shooting and hunting in medium to long distance situations. This tool has a vast database of scopes, reticles and cartridges to choose from or input your own ballistics info.

I have been trying a lot of apps for my .22 LR, which admittedly has some limitations due to the small caliber. Hornady has a great app, but is bias to their brand of course and higher power.

ChairgunEliteBallisticTool has an amazing introduction to each section, extensive ballistic library and agnostic to any one manufacturer.

I have input data and compared to some know measurements I have and it is right on. Can’t wait to try it out at several yardages.

Incredibly capable and intuitive ballistic calculator. I use ChairgunEliteBallisticTool for my rifle, and all I can say, that is wow makes me feel like a pro sniper. If you put correct data you will have nothing to worry about results.
