The ads for VPN time seems like a nice gimmick until the VPN randomly disconnects each and every time you use it. Not long after that it will show a message that it failed to connect after you’ve retried, and within a few more tries it literally asks you for authentication, something that you’ve never created in the first place when using the free version of FreeVPN . If they fix these bugs then I’ll give them a higher rating, but for now definitely not because it’s a waste of time, and it’s just as upsetting that when you aren’t currently connected to the VPN your remaining time is still actively counting down.

Free vpn cannot be trusted, that's the sad truth. It has turned off multiple times in the middle of use and caused major headaches. It was a waste of 10bucks, I've had to cut off the subscription after just a few days and will find a better vpn. It's too bad too, this seemed like a solid app.

In addition to randomly disconnecting and exposing my info, it also has a hard time connecting , it's not timely at all! And that's a real problem when you need it to work right now.

Overall 1star, FreeVPN failed its one simple job miserably. Do not suggest anyone use this.

DEVS PLEASE READ: I previously gave Free VPN a glowing review, I used to use FreeVPN all the time with minimal issues. However a problem popped up on FreeVPN a while ago which makes the free version virtually unusable.

The bug is that whenever I go to close an ad after watching it, clicking the X does absolutely nothing! There’s no way to close the ad, It just stays on the screen until I close the whole app, and of course it doesn’t register that I watched an ad when I reopen FreeVPN ! This issue used to happen just with some ads but now happens with the majority of ads. It has been several months and this has still not been resolved. This problem needs to be fixed ASAP. I will not be using FreeVPN until it’s fixed. :(

If I wanted to watch Netflix on a different server or country it’s great but as an actual VPN and privacy and location spoofer it’s horrible I connected it to my laptop and I watched as my phone collected cookies on the website to my direct location through the VPN if your every day website is able to do that this is not a VPN great for movies do not use to actually search or to actually use a VPN what it’s mainly needed for I loved FreeVPN until I found this out very disappointed in their security I have not tested being connected to other countries but if you live in America and connect to another American server it does not do what it’s supposed to do I mean what can you expect for free but don’t advertise like this is some thing amazing

FreeVPN was great at first. I could read the webtoons I wanted that weren’t always available on the their app or read new manga chapters without worry. The reason why the rating is low is now after using FreeVPN for about 2 months the adds won’t load to fit the screen anymore. So when I try to hit the x to start the next add I can’t as it’s off screen where I can’t click or even see it. I tried redownloading FreeVPN and even restarting the phone and it still won’t load the adds correctly. So be aware FreeVPN may work for a while but eventually you’ll be stuck finding a new app or paying for subscription.

I would have rated this higher, but it does have some small issues/missing features I would like to see fixed/added.

1. After being connected for a log period of time, sometimes the VPN will need to be toggled off and back on again to work.

2. Please please please add the ability to either earn 12 hours of VPN at a time OR to add more time before the timer runs out. I use the VPN while at work, but not at home. Having to wait until the timer runs out before I can add more time is annoying.

I did like and use this free vpn but they recently removed the Australian server, the one and only reason I was using FreeVPN . Even though it’s now completely useless to me I’m still giving it a few stars because it really is free. Not some “free trial” or partial access nonsense. Watch a few ads and and get full free access, no payment method required. If they bring back Australia I’ll happily give back the other two stars and start using it again.

So sometimes when i watch ads so i can use the vpn, i don't need to watch them, it just gives me the time i selected. But when i click connect after like 5 minutes (i need to wait a few minutes before i use it because im a china user) it doesn't work. Also, sometimes i watch the ads, i get the time, but it just doesn't work. I waited for a long time, still it doesn't work. But overall, FreeVPN still works but needs a bit of fixing.

hello! i use a Iphone 6s and the connectivity is great, it works fairly fast and doesn’t disconnect too often plus its only a few minutes of ads for 24 free hours of coverage. HOWEVER on Iphone 6s theres a issue where i cannot see the remaining connectivity time, this isnt the biggest deal in the world but its definitely a inconvenience

FreeVPN works to assign IP to region of your choosing. The only problem I’ve found is that it will time out so to speak. When you’re in the middle of loading something, all the sudden you lose connectivity entirely. You have to exit what you’re doing, go to FreeVPN , wait for it to load and reconnect and then start what you were doing before interruption over. This happens at least 20x a day which is frustrating when trading crypto, playing poker, streaming ANYTHING, etc. if this issue can be resolved, 5 stars!

FreeVPN actually does provide unlimited ad free VPN service to fast & secure servers hiding your IP address and all that if you just spend like between 1-4 mins watching ads depending on how long you want access aka an hour, like 6 hrs or 24 hrs. Great deal I say! Only complaint is how do I set up a kill switch to shut off my WiFi in case of my VPN crashes? Tell me this and I’ll amend to 5 stars! Cheers! I 110% recommend FreeVPN.

To be honest, as a free APP it is outstanding. If it could get connected, the connection is in general good. Thank you~ However, sometimes a pop-up message requires Pin or tells User Authentication failed…so more patience, keep updated and try further for another lucky connection.

FreeVPN is great. Since I downloaded the Free VPN app, my location in many other apps and web sites had been kept anonymous. All one needs to do is play their ads and watch some videos promoting other apps and boom! You got your free access to any location of your choice in the world. Most importantly they made provisions for different time frames depending on your daily schedules from which you can choose whatever time you want to be kept anonymous. I recommend you all to try it out, it’s really worth it

If you are a iPad user this review is for you : this VPN does not work it just doesn’t work if you download it it will just lag and you can’t even use the streaming service apps also even when it does not lag it does not add content it just takes away content overall FreeVPN is just a waste of storage 😤

Other than that the connection is awesome. I can watch all the Studio Ghibli movies and Fresh Prince so I’m beyond happy 😂

I downloaded FreeVPN yesterday afternoon,it was great then,I can watch lots of fun things on youtube,instagram,etc. However,things went worse at night. FreeVPN can not work! Until now ,it still don’t work. This is a terrible experience.

FreeVPN is mostly great. ive personally been using it for a month or so but i have run into a small issue that i dont see anywhere else in the reviews? maybe its just me. idk. but it keeps on asking me to enter a verification passcode. it doesnt do it all the time but its like i have to sign in ig? but i tried my normal passcode for apps just in case i didnt remember putting in a passcode and had to at the beginning, but it didnt work. but other than that its a great app and works anywhere i am. school, on a roadtrip or just any drive to anywhere, home, etc. i recommend.

So this is great but for the six ads you watch are each 30 seconds long and only Google ads seem to play but this is definitely One of the better VPNs I’ve seen so I download this personally

This is so good that the speed is so fast and connection is stable.
But since I updated it, I can’t get connected to any server. I reset my network settings and restart my iPad, doesn’t work. Hope u can fix that.

Last afternoon I was upset that you needed to be Australian! So I tried multiple vpns, all of them didn’t say free! I was so annoyed thinking I couldn’t do this. I tried to make my tv Australian, but that needed a vpn… I gave up, no way I was able to do this, I gave up after possibly 3 hours of trying to do it, but I was trying FreeVPN out saying “I’ll give this a go.” And then I chose the 24 option. It was 2 minutes worth of ads but I didn’t care, then I changed the location to Sydney Australia, and then I went to ABC kids, and it was a little difficult at first, but then BOOM it worked like fine wine! FreeVPN needs more attention. I recommend it if you want to see the uncensored Bluey scenes, and episodes that aren’t on Disney+, I recommend it!

Very good. Very fast. I use the free version and it can load videos on Facebook (we know how bad it is) and you can actually watch it without loading or being forced to lower the resolution into pixels.
You can get 24 hours every day of free use of a very good VPN for just watching 4 Ads.
That’s a bargain to be honest.
Try it out, you won’t regret it.

A lot of Apps say that they are free but then you end up having to pay.
They either trick you with a 7 day free trial or a 30 day free trial. But FreeVPN is actually FREE. All you have to do is watch 6-30 second adds and you get 24 hours of free VPN. This is not a fake review either. I’m actually a person who has downloaded and use FreeVPN. I don’t use it everyday but when I want to use it I just go and watch the string of videos mostly about Google stuff or some other Video promoting some crap. But afterwards you get 24 hours free. You can also get 7 hours free and 2 hours free by watching just 1 promotional video etc, not exact about the number of hours I always do the 6 videos for 24 hours. So anyways yeah good stuff u should Check it out. 🤙

This VPN is amazing. 6 ads for 24 hours with lighting connecting speeds. One of the first times I've ever wrote a review, but this free vpn is good quality, although sometimes it will randomly disconnect you or the speed will go down a lot, you can just disconnect & reconnect another thing is that it sometimes doesn't work and will ask for a password to connect, this issue fixes itself once you just keep trying to reconnect. ALSO you can pay for a boosted version which I'm guessing will solve all the cons

I am a Chinese. I used FreeVPN over half a year and this must be the best free VPN app. Connect so quickly and few ads for long time. I really love FreeVPN and I hope it can do better.
I dont know can you fix it or it controlled by China government，that is I cant connect everytime. Sometimes it shows me 【No Requirement From VPN Server】it means connect failed.I need VPN so if you can plz fix it as quickly as you can. Love you.

I’ve been using this VPN for a little over a year now and I kid you not, FreeVPN is awesome! Unlike several other VPN apps that claim they’re free, this one is actually free. It requires no trials or payments at all. It gives you the options of 2hrs, 30mins, or 24hrs. All you literally have to do is click one of the time frames and watch a few ads once, and your solid for the rest of the day. This is the VPN you want and need. Well maybe you don’t need it, but you want it. Lol

When I first saw FreeVPN, I thought it was a total scam. But I downloaded it and it’s legit! A real VPN! I know that it’s real and legit just in case anyone’s wondering because when I first opened FreeVPN it asked me for perms to make VPN configurations, and when I activated the VPN, the word VPN popped up in the top right corner of my phone (a feature that Apple made to show you that you have a VPN activated) And speaking of VPN activation, IT’S GREAT! I only had to watch a couple ads and boom! I had a working VPN for 24 hours!

This is a really good VPN especially for being free. In just 3 minutes you get an entire day of VPN which is amazing. Only problem with it is that it can sometimes mess up and either stop your internet or turn off the VPN which can be annoying sometimes, but its not very much and is fixed by just opening FreeVPN and reconnecting.

I tried several of these privacy apps and wasn’t happy with any until I found this one. You only have to watch for 30 second ads to get 24 hours of coverage. Or pay a monthly or yearly fee. I use the free version and I’m very happy with it. I highly recommend as I have not found any glitches after using it for about 10 days now.

This the best FREE VPN ever. I have been using for nearly 2 months now but it’s been two days I can’t make call through social media. I use this to only make calls and it’s not working. It’s said connection low but I can use everything normally except when I connect vpn to call it’s said no connection.
I hope, there’s something can do to fix it. I have high hope with this ☹️.

Ive had this vpn for a couple of weeks now, waiting for a “pay for no more adds and unlimited use!” But this vpn is actually free and goes by what its name is. You watch 6 ads and get a whole day with a vpn. Its such s good deal and so worth it. Would recommend to anyone, i already have shown it to my best friends who are also running it

I tried every other free VPN on AppStore and this one is hands down the best. Before I had to use that one with the unicorn, which was always lagging, taking way too long to load ads and would randomly cut off. This one works smooth as a butter and is also fast. Thanks, devs

It’s a free vpn and is better than the other free ones. Limited ads literally. Only have to watch 2-4 ads to be able to use for 1,2, or 24 hours. It is for the most part reliable and fast compared to others that slow down your speed.

This is an actual free vpn but, before i downloaded i saw the “critical” reviews and said it wasn’t free, so I just downloaded it to see if it wasn’t free but it was free and i could change my location easily, it worked good for me and one of the best vpns i’ve used so far.

So I’m on a iPad and when I downloaded this it brought me to dot map of the world. On the bottom there was a location box but I was confused how to move the screen. It was just stuck there, doing nothing. I bet the vpns good but it just doesn’t work for me or I’m dumb.

I love that it’s free, it’s reliable - I just wish the ads that you have to watch to earn time, were different. It’s all ones with zombies and blood, the mafia and blood, or big breasted women. None of which I am interested in or even like watching ads for. 😝 please change them.
