Unreliable

Sometimes it works correctly, but mostly not. Absolutely not intuitive, much like the camera software. Olympus needs to up their game if they expect to be competitive. I was a software engineer for years. This isn’t user error. It is sloppy, buggy software.

OM SHARE APP DOES NOT WORK

I will not consider upgrading to a new OM camera until they fix their broken app which should be simple, right? It used to work very well some time ago under the Olympus name, and that was always something I could brag about to my friends who were using the other brands with their iffy apps. My Oly cameras still work well, but not OMImageShare . I always found OMImageShare to be very useful. It has been an issue for a while now so I’m beginning to wonder if the OM folks even care…

Still can’t delete multiple photos at a time…

Who wouldn’t allow deleting multiples when you can “select” multiple and “download” multiple?? So the card just sits full until I use my laptop or my camera itsself. So stupid.

What the heck are you all doing.😑 Nothing seems different at all and the older app still exists. Sooo why not do a large update to that one? I’ll review again as I use this one more but good god..

Can’t import photos, so what’s the point?

Y’all put a new name on OMImageShare , but it’s still broken. Imports get stuck, remote is so unreliable I don’t bother anymore, what is the point of OMImageShare?
OMImageShare will use my location data in the background even when I’m not using OMImageShare ? But that’s not disclosed in the privacy section.
For why? Selling the data? Even if OMImageShare worked this would be gross.

Looks the same as the old app but doesn’t work

I’m sure there was a reason for releasing a new app that looks the same but I can’t figure it out, especially because since switching, I can connect my phone to my camera 1 out of 20 tries. Maybe I’m missing some firmware update?

This seems like a pretty serious bug to make it into an app tied to such expensive physical hardware.

Remote control doesn’t work

After some trouble I was able to get the camera connected and could see the pictures on the card. But in trying to get the remote to work a small screen popped up momentarily and disappeared. Cascable, a third party app, is able to operate remote control, showing that the camera connection is working.

Unusable

Just like others have said, OMImageShare refuses to connect my phone to my camera. Never had connection issues with the previous app. Quite frustrated it's not working properly, as I don't have another easy option to transfer images between devices.

No support for RAW

OMImageShare would be substantially more useful if it supported importing RAW files to bring in to Lightroom.

Cannot connect to camera

Still not able to connect to my camera with the new app. This was the biggest selling point for the camera for me. For a larger corporation I would have thought you’d have your app in order…I guess not…good luck with that.

Won’t connect to camera

Have used the old app with my camera for years. It was a little clunky but it worked. With this one my device connects to the cameras WiFi but OMImageShare tells me it can’t communicate with the camera. So it’s useless.

Doesn’t work now!

I’ve been using the previous version for years. I upgraded when told that the old one would not work anymore - now this one refuses to connect to the camera.

New app doesn’t work

I get the error message that OMImageShare can’t connect to the camera’s (TG-5) Wi-Fi. Never a problem with the old app. Why fix something that wasn’t broke!!!

Unable to connect to my phone.

Unable to communicate with my phone. Old app worked just fine. This is useless

New app does not work

The new OM version of OMImageShare will not connect to my iPhone. So it’s basically useless. The old version worked fine. Very disappointing.

Doesn’t work

Get the same message failed to communicate with camera. Can’t find any support online.

Slooow and glitchy

I have iPhone 12 Pro and Olympus E-M1II. To import 1 photo into a phone took around 1 minute!

Setup is a night mare

Orevious version worked ok. But I can not get my TG-6 to connect now
