Dear this app Team,

I cannot find the right words to express just how awesomely refreshing Amen has been in my life and I can’t imagine it’s free! I’ve tried another Catholic App but most of the content is locked unless you opt for the paid subscription. The this app App has become part of my daily routine multiple times throughout the day. It has been God’s answer to a prayer as I’m going through a very lonely yet important phase in my life with tons of changes much like being in the spiritual wilderness. Your App has been like my lifeline to God constantly receiving His healing, peace, joy and love as I hear it. Dr. Tim Gray’s explanations of the daily readings are so educational as I try to learn more about our Blessed Lord through scripture including the Catholic Church Teachings. I love that the Daily Readings are also included. The background music, images, and the plethora of varied content such as prayers, meditations, sleep stories & Bible teachings, 1 minute inspirations & so much more are just priceless. The voices of the readers are so calm and soothing especially Bonnie Curry, my favorite!May God richly bless each of you and your families for creating this precious gem to bless people immensely!

Amen is an great resource for any Catholic who wants to deepen their prayer life. It is also wonderful for Catholics who suffer from anxiety, struggle with habitual sins, or have scrupulosity OCD (try the “Anxiety” and “Healing” categories). There are so many meditation apps out there, but few are Christian and I only know of one other Catholic meditation app (which requires a subscription). This one is 100% free. Words cannot express how happy I am to have guided meditations in harmony with my faith. Amen is well designed, user friendly, and the meditations are beautiful. It reminds me of some of the best retreats I’ve been on. Thank you, and may God bless you for creating this content and making it widely available. 🙏🏼

A lot of my prayer happens in the car. And not all of my drives are long distance, so sometimes I only have five, 10, 15 minutes in the car. But I enjoy making the most of that time by praying and I like the feature with the meditations that you can choose the length of time. That is my favorite feature of Amen because sometimes I don’t have 20 minutes to spare at that moment. I have done most variations of the Meet meditations, and they are all impactful, and thoroughly enjoyable. Amen is amazing and I have shared it with everyone at my Parish’s mom’s group.

The this app App by the Augustine Institute is a winner. I have finally found a reverend and clear way to hear the daily scriptures of the day, to focus on the meaning of the Word of God in my life today. The speaker voice and tempo, the background music, and the precise and deliberate focus on the gospel readings helps calm the busyness of the day and makes me want to shut out the world and focus for a bit. I have just started listening to Amen, there is so much more to explore. I thank the institute and all those involved in putting Amen together. Well done, I wouldn’t change a thing.

As a cloistered religious, I find your app very well made and quite useful. Many times I’ve found other popular religious productions to be so geared towards the “layman in the pew” that its usefulness for me is limited. Excessive references to popular culture/movies/television shows/internet productions are very distracting and will cause me to abandon using a meditation book/product. Your app, on the other hand, focuses on the Scriptures and the guided meditations are superb in that they focus more on true conversion of heart and mind than on superficial external changes. I also appreciate the quietly beautiful background music which you provide.
I have only been using Amen for a few days, so I’ve not “played around” with any of the settings or other options; thus, I cannot provide you with any further feedback regarding your product. While I’m unable to provide monetary support, you may rest assured that I will be keeping all of you at the Augustine Institute (as well as all those involved in Amen development and support) in my daily prayers.

Amen has excellent content. I love that everything is free.
Also the customer service is great. I contacted them about a problem and it was resolved super quickly.
My only request is that there be more of a visual element. I am a mom of 2, 2 and under, and sometimes I’m praying a rosary but I’m tending to a kid while the mystery is being announced and I miss it, or I’m listening to the daily readings and get interrupted and suddenly it’s asking me what God is saying to me through the reading and I can’t even remember what I just heard. If the screen had art for the current mystery and titles of the readings, it would help me be able to jump back in.

Amen is very easy to use and has background music for daily scripture readings from the lectionary, the rosary, many other devotions and prayers. You can select a particular background music and adjust the volume separately from the main track.

For example, you can have the sound and scenery of rain, a stream or waterfall, piano, guitar, or other instrumental music background, and pray your favorite prayers, devotions, and meditations with the music or without, while listening to excellent lectors or readers as they proclaim readings of the day, pray the rosary or other prayers, and focus your prayer.

Matthew Kelly often reminds us in his books and recordings that silence helps us to focus our prayer. I agree. But I often find it very helpful to have quiet time with soft instrumental or ambient sound in the background. It may not be completely silent, but it seems to me a very close approximation.

Give yourself a truly unique prayer app that will compliment other Catholic prayer apps like Laudate, Divine Office, or iBreviary. And besides-it’s free!

The this app App I was introduced to by The Augustine Institute (Formed by Tim Gray PhD), is the BEST Catholic meditation tool I’ve EVER tried. Our Protestant brothers have been leaders in this way for years, but this app’s content is diverse, thorough, technologically brilliant, and addresses the abundant tribulations we face as Catholics and Christians at this particular time, and offers just the right antidote to help us navigate everyday trials, fears, stresses, or troubles we’re facing in today’s world and culture with the focus on Jesus and His Reign on earth and in Heaven. I’ve used it to sooth myself and mind at night and bring me into the presence of our Lord, the King of Kings and Lord of all! “Relevant” would be the single word I would use to describe Amen. Thank you!

Great app for prayer and meditation. I use it almost everyday to do my daily rosary and at night to help me fall asleep. Love the background music that allows me to choose and adjust the volume to while praying or meditating. I don’t mind the fact that the music continues playing even when the meditation is paused as it helps me with my quiet reflection. It’s helping me transform my prayer life already. Another great thing about Amen is the daily gospel reflections, they are surprisingly, deeply contemplative. This is something that I’ve been looking for in a prayer app for a long time and God answered my prayers! Oh and the best part is, it’s free! Thank you so much for making this so accessible to everyone!

Dear this app Team, In my religion class we did a app review and I did some research on some different catholic apps, “this app” really stood out to me. I love how every morning when I wake up, I check my Gmail, and they send me a daily bible verse, and sometimes that’s really what you need to start your day. This is one of the only catholic apps that you don’t need to pay to any of the features. Amen really brings me healing, peace, love, and joy. I absolutely love the meditations, stories that help you fall asleep, and bible teachings/readings.
I’ve never seen an app that has everything I liked and wanted, I honestly have no negative reviews because honestly I think your app is perfect! Keep up the amazing work! God Bless!

I’ve looked into other Catholic apps before and decided to give this app a shot! I’m beyond happy I did! With the Lenten season starting, I was searching for ways to be more prayerful and for my prayers to be more meaningful. I’ve always read the daily readings and used that as part of my prayers, but with Amen, I am not only able to listen to the readings (with wonderful background music), but am able to reflect on the readings and then journal! I’ve also enjoyed the sleep stories on occasions when I’ve struggled falling asleep! I can’t thank you enough for helping me become more prayerful! 🙏🏼♥️

These two short words do not completely convey the appreciation and gratitude I feel! The Augustinian Institute directors and team members have been able to develop and App that truly fulfills the mission of developing, increasing, sustaining, and improving the faith in Christians around the world.
I daily use the this app app for my daily meditations of the daily Bible readings guided by Dr Gray- what an awesome experience! I pray my daily Rosary and the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. Also, the short one, five, ten minute mediations are inspiring. The Advent meditations were a great preparation for Christmas - I am looking forward to the Lenten ones!
I could go on and on because this is truly a great app for those of us searching for a real closeness to Jesus! Again…thank you!!!

I am very pleased with this new app.
For a long time I was using a non Catholic app that was tracking the days you were using Amen , as an encouragement, but sometimes I would be listening late at night, and the number of days will be reset to zero, making me feel a little sad.
When I discovered your app I was very pleased to see that even though you guys have a tracking system that tells how many days you have been using Amen, it does never reset to zero if you forget to open Amen .
I love the feature that allows you to choose the music playing in the background.
Thank you for putting together an amazing Catholic app that is totally free and completely awesome!!!!!

I have to say that I am throughly impressed with the content of Amen. From the readings, to the format of the meditation and vast music selections are truly wonderful for contemplation. The options available are perfect for all aspects of prayer and to help set the tone for introspective reflection. It is true that only the higher can come done to the lower but this elevates the soul to a higher level where it makes the divide between the material and the divine smaller. Amen deserves more than 5 stars and I would like to see just how much further the creators of the content can take this invaluable resource. To the creators, thank you for the amazing work you have done. Something like this can only be inspired by He who made us in his likeness and image.

Thank you so much for making Amen! There are lots of prayer apps out there; simply put, this has some different features:
1) this has the ability to hear scripture ( the daily readings), pause it & the background sacred music continues- great for processing what you just heard.
2)also the music will continue to play after you've finished the evening (or whatever)meditation
3) navigation- very simple!! More important than most think! The page is laid out beautifully, with title AND picture! I think you may discovery your own favorite features!
One small comment ( you KNOW there has to be one!) the pictures for the title are beautiful- can these not be kept onscreen instead of the same one constantly used(boring). Thanks again. High praise!!

Amen is wonderful! I had actually been in the process of recording some of my daily prayers with music behind them so I could listen to them when driving. I’ve used the sleep meditations a couple of times when I’ve had trouble falling back asleep in the middle of the night and they worked great.
I have two suggestions for enhancements. One, for the sleep meditations, an option to make a play list or to have the first half include the speaking but then have the second portion be only the music. Two, to include the words to the prayers so that if someone wants to read along with the prayer, they can do so. I would find that helpful so that I can memorize the prayer more quickly. All in all Amen is very well done and brings a lot of peace and calm when I use it.

I am still figuring out what I like best with Amen. I love the background music and the fact that you can choose the music, and the images are beautiful. The voices I have heard so far are soothing, and I listen daily to the Mass readings. (I do wish I could go forward to the next day or back to the previous day.)
The evening meditations are a new interest of mine. I do often fall asleep listening to them…and that is a good thing!
Would love to have The Seven Sorrows of Mary added to the prayers.
I do find myself looking for a drop down menu so need to remember to swipe more than tap. Sometimes I think a drop down might be better…still getting used to that.
Overall the quality and uniqueness of Amen makes it deserve a top rating. Great job especially on a first release! Outstanding!

I love Amen! It work perfectly for everything I need. I wanted to try Halo for meditations at night and such, but I’m a student and can’t spend the money on that app. Amen is free and super awesome, please keep it that way! I get a little annoyed when good Catholic apps cost money to buy, because then they aren’t accessible to everyone. I was also switching between a few different Rosary apps, but I didn’t really like any of them. Your app fit all of my needs! I can listen to it on the go, it doesn’t glitch and get stuck on any of the prayers, it’s not finicky, I live it! I also love that you can chose how long for the meditations especially for sleep.

When I first downloaded Amen , I couldn’t sign in after I created my account, so I went to the website and was able to contact customer support. They got back to me within a few hours and had fixed my problem. I didn’t even need to do anything. I just deleted Amen , she reset my account, then I downloaded it and signed in! Ver fast, efficient, and friendly.

Some suggestions for the future: the Latin Rosary would be fantastic as well as an option for it to read/explain the mysteries for new Catholics who may not have them memorized yet. Also, if you could add streaming Gregorian chant, that would be fantastic! Also, some Marian sleep meditations would be nice.

Amen is so excellent. The daily readings are very well done the way they built Amen with reflection questionsAnd being able to extend your reflection time while the meditative background music continues I love. I love the choices of background music and imagery. I love how they have incorporated so much of the rich imagery of the Catholic Church into Amen rather than cold modern icons. It will continue to be my go to for the daily readings every day from now on. I am also starting to enjoy some of the prayers they haveProvided. And I’ve tried a few of the meditations I find I love the adjustable time selection and the questions are well chosen and well developed. I have come to expect a lot from Augustine and this does not disappoint!!! I feel it is a spirit filled use of technology and will be a blessing to so very many in these times. Also thank you for making it free. I am not comfortable using my phone for monetary transactions but I will be sending you a donation through the mail. God bless you all

As the world and church seem to be crumbling around us comes this amazing Catholic App!
I have been searching for something for a long time for a Catholic prayer/meditation app and the search has been futile, until now.
This answers my needs. As a busy mom of many kids, jobs, and homeschooling I don’t have much time for a sit down devotional but I can play one on my phone !
It has helped me stay grounded in God’s word and remain in peace many a day now.
I do love that you can pick your time limits and there are so many options of prayers and devotions!! While I realize it probably wasn’t developed for children, our children have taken to listening to the Bible stories before bed. What could be better than that?!! Thank you for making it free because there are many of us larger families that can’t afford these apps in these tough times.
You truly are a blessing for the church.
One suggestion also is to include the teaching/meditation/content of the Catechism which we most are lacking in.
I am definitely NOT complaining as Amen is awesome!!!
I have been telling all my friends!!
