some things just make no sense

free rides fun for a while need new maps or ability to have open sessions like FR legends. the mechanics are amazing for a mobile game and cars that are available are great.
now for the l real gripes.. customization is alright, but paying to unlock livery options is kinda lame. having to pay real money to get a clutch and transmission that will work for a high powered engine is a weak money grab. the card flipping nonsense in the career mode is just lame, and usually it pays out with 20 right front fenders (why not both sides?) or a left side skirt (again- why not both sides?) and they’re the same ones that we already have. what’s the point of having multiple of the same part? doesn’t the car just get repaired?? and if we’re going to stack up all these parts and motors and put in all this time and effort it would be real nice if we could just sell off the things we don’t want so we can afford to add cars to our garages and finish cars. now, it’s definitely one of the best drifting games i’ve personally played but some things just make no sense. like being able to buy a body kit for a car you can’t even get anymore (AE86, S14)
peace.

This is the worst carX yet. TERRIBLE

I’ve played every CarX game and supported these games for years but this is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The way you purchase cars is terrible the way you get parts is terrible YOU HAVE A WAIT TIME TO REPAIR OR CUSTOMIZE YOUR CARS. TERRIBLE. All around this has been terrible and I will no longer support this company do to this game and the issues with updates for switch when it comes to drift racing online. Ive purchased games from this company on every platform for myself and my friends i have literally purchased drift racing online 13 times to support you guys and build more players and this has really done it for me this where money Ive spent goes buying docs and making in game purchases I even tested street before full release and made in game purchases to support you guys. Absolutely terrible.

Horrendous waste of time

When you’re trying to drift a car, the arrow inputs don’t do anything, if you’re clicking left when you want to get less angle or more, it just doesn’t listen and leaves the wheels turned the way the game wants it. Crash physics are horrible as when you slightly touch something you have a missing bumper and dent, which you need to wait IRL minutes to repair, if you stop drifting for even one second it gives you a warning and makes you restart without your choice, won’t load 90% of the time and will take a minute if it wants to if you try to restart, you HAVE to have internet to play the game, the stupidest thing that will happen is when you are holding your ebrake when initiating a drift, it will tell you you’re decelerating, tell me how i’m not gonna be decelerating when i’m LITERALLY USING MY BRAKE. The game is horribly unrealistic for driving characteristics and experience, making it ruin your drift capabilities. Doesn’t even let you drive the car and tried to make it easier so people will continue playing this horribly designed and engineered game. One star.

A little disappointed

The gameplay is amazing the damage is cool the physics feel good but who thought it was a good idea to make customization locked behind event progression and fan goals? even then it’s also randomized so it’s extremely difficult to get any of the body kits or wheels that you actually want for the car you wanted it for. I end up with multiples sets of the same wheels, front bumpers, side skirt (usually the left side only) , or fenders on a car that I already put a body kit on or I get one for a car I don’t want the body kit for !!! Why don’t you just allow us to buy all customization with CR like we were always able to do in the other games ?? It’s the same with certain vehicles you can’t buy them for CR but you can spend real money to get them if they’re even available in the shop… I find it a little shady how you guys are treating this game which is sad because I do enjoy it but it’s got some things that NEED to be fixed before I can recommend this game to anyone.

Car x review for starters

We need more customization, and the “campaign/story” needs to be nerfed a bit some stuff on easy is impossible to do, I have a 900hp 240 and can’t keep up with ai and I’ve played car x since it came out I like to think I’m a good tuner and very decent driver no way to afford cars and very little ways to get parts as it’s very difficult to get decent money. I would much rather pay for parts than have to unlock them and then not even get parts you need you get parts you already have it’s got decent graphics and the game works good but everything else needs a lot of work. Edit on top of that having no way to sell things you don’t need is also very annoying, just like the other versions that didn’t have it we should be able to sell things, people are gonna start going away from your game by having stuff so high they have to buy money to get anything, we need more cars, money is to hard to come by and not everyone wants to have to spend real world money in order to have decent cars

Game is great but tandems has a problem.

Game in general is good, physics are great and fun, the drifting doesn’t feel bad at all. Game itself can be very much fun and enjoyable but tandems is a different story. You need to play tandems in order to gain top tier parts for your car problem is tandems can be extremely difficult. The AI drivers that you go against can be super unfair in pair with how the game scores your runs. I find myself grinding super hard just to get a 100 trophies just for it to be waaaay easier to lose it all in a row. The difficulty to winning tandems is not balanced with how easy it is to lose. I’ve had multiple tandem matches where the ai driver would crash either behind me or infront of me and still somehow gain 80-90 points for their runs as for me a small tap or slight budge in my run would cost me great amount of points. it’s completely unfair and unsatisfying. Although the gameplay itself is great, the tandem mechanics can make this game completely unbearable esp if you’re trying to upgrade your cars without spending your money. Tandems all in all can be really frustrating n and unfair esp if your car doesn’t have optimal parts. Not to mention that ai leads would get 80-90 points for the runs but straighten out during their run, screwing up ur chase run giving you a significantly less points compared to them.

Fun, but needs updates.

Fun game like the others in the Car X series, but lacks the charm of the first two drift titles. Instead of grinding free roam to build credits, in this installation you mainly play tandem battles or Top 32 battles as they pay the best. The biggest issue with this is a currently unbalanced tandem experience. There have been improvements in this in a past update, but they’ll need to refine it further to keep players engaged and promote a fun experience, on top of adding in new content like new cars and maps.

Unfortunately as the game plays now, it’s possible to play some very unfair tandem battles. The bot/recorded run from your opponents will sometimes be incredibly sloppy, yet reward them with a winning score. I just had a battle where the lead car went wildly off the racing line and accelerated/deceled unpredictably. Now, this would severely impact any recorded run I make, resulting in a (fair) but low score. However the bots will score an (unfair) high score of 90 points plus.

Hopefully we see some balance updates in the future that allow players to more fairly battle these bots until they can get some sort of live multiplayer experience going on, as well as adding more cars and maps to play on.

Grip

I think another thing that needs to be added is adhesion as only the console and pc get that option, I would like to do more grip events and not have to brake all the way through the turn, as when you do the car doesn’t really respond to turning and have to be at a very low speed to get the wheel to even go full lock , the gripiest of tires are still pretty bad , my favorite map is nurburg but can’t even go into corners with out going into a wall cz there’s not enough steering and not enough grip, obviously in drifting it’s great but when you have grip events you are driving slow through corners!! Hopefully we get something like that soon I know this is a drifting game but you gave us an option for time attack so help us with turning and adhesion options

Love the game but

CarX Drift Racing 3 is an amazing game that offers great car customization a fun free roam mode and the iconic Nurburgring making it perfect for car and drift enthusiasts. The ability to personalize vehicles is a highlight and the free roam feature adds freedom to explore and practice. However the game does fall short in a few areas. The car selection while decent feels limited and could use a wider variety especially classics and newer models like the Honda FK8 Mazdas and Toyotas. The braking mechanics also need improvement as they feel unresponsive when traction control is enabled which makes handling challenging in some situations. Additionally the game could benefit from more tracks and events to keep gameplay fresh as it can sometimes feel repetitive. Despite these issues it is still a thrilling and addictive game with a lot of potential for future updates.

bruh.

Don’t get me wrong, the game is pretty good. But it’s making me pull my hair out with all the random lag spikes and bugs. This has nothing to do with graphics quality because even on the lowest graphics I still experience sudden lag spikes. Also, the gyro steering is bugged out like crazy. Sometimes when I begin a race, the steering is completely delayed and locks me in one direction so I come crashing into a wall. On top of that, the requirements for completing a campaign level is incredibly vague. It would help a lot if there was at least a demonstration whenever you click on these requirements. Seriously though, what the heck is XDS judging off of? It’s like if I breathe the wrong way it deducts points. Lastly, how is this stupid foxbody mustang faster than my short gears 600hp r32? I don’t understand. It quickly gains distance on corners and I tried using low horsepower and channeling my inner takumi fujiwara but I guess whatever.

Insanely Good Physics

As many reviews have mentioned, the physics and feel of the game are very good, graphics are a major step up from cxdr 2, and overall it’s a fantastic mobile game. The new upgrading system is a bit frustrating when you’re trying to get max level parts for a full fleet of cars, but that’s my only criticism so far. Only other mentionable issue is the lack of content at the moment. I’m kinda at a point right now where I can’t really play much since there’s nothing to do but just grind for money I guess. Hoping for an update soon! I’m sure once the game has some time under its belt that the devs will stack it up with more content.

Obsessed with the game

i play this game all the time and i love it but if in free roam you can make a panel to add traffic cops or both that would be amazing and the repair button also add it somewhere near the speedometer so you dont have to go to the map to repair it thi game is amazing though its my favorite car game because not only the crash damage but you can repair it for free and replace the trapezoid tires for free AND THERE IS NO ADS!!! best car game in the world it looks like it should cost money and surprisingly its free i can tell the huge difference from carx 2 and I’ve played almost all of them including highway racing where i have the Supra mk5 (im not a Supra kid its just that why wouldn’t you get the most expensive car you can afford) and i have millions because of a money glitch thats already been patched but I couldn’t retrieve my account after my phone broke down but also updating highway racing would be nice too

Fantastic Game, But it Needs Some Tweaks

2 things are keeping me from adding that 5th star to my review: “Rev when on handbrake” needs to be an option, as the revs often fall quickly when pulling handbrake even for a short time. This makes it tough to pull handbrake without bogging. The other thing is that the damage effects are a little weird. Why does the hood crumple while the bumper is still in perfect condition? Why does my door fly off if I hit a road sign or small pole? The damage could be a little more subtle. Small taps and bumps irl do not usually taco the chassis, but they do in this game. If at least the handbrake thing is fixed, I’ll update my review to 5 stars

Other than that, this game is fantastic. Extremely engaging campaign mode that highlights 5 decades of drifting and basically takes you through the whole drifting origins and history, while teaching a lot of great techniques to those who may be new to drifting. Very intelligent AI for tandem in both lead and chase. Scoring system isn’t perfect but it’s way better than good enough. I love the garage and tuning/customizability as well. Progress in the game is right in the sweet spot where you can just fool around and do nothing or be a perfectionist and satisfy every criteria of the campaign for 100% completion.

Great, but crash physics need a little work

I love the game’s important part (what it was made for), like drifting and racing, there are pretty much no problems there. The only one I noticed were the hitboxes of the controls, where you could put your finger about an inch above or horizontally to a control, and it would still activate. They should only activate when the control button is being pressed. In the crash physics part, there are quite a few. The first thing I want to say about them is, the car’s frame/chassis never deforms, it is only the car’s body parts, so high speed frontal crashes or rear crashes always just look like a 40 MPH crash. The next thing is, when the hood bends and deforms in a frontal crash, it does it well, but it always droops down into the front bumper spot of the car, and then the hood starts clipping through the engine or other parts under the hood. You could just turn on collisions for the car parts in-game, and it would work a lot better. I know this is a drifting simulator, not a game made for crashing cars, like FlexicX or BeamNG. Other than these physics glitches, I’d say this is a great game!

Customization, crashing, and the steering wheel are annoying, everything else is great though.

When i crash it feels like the car is made of paper, for example i barely scrape a wall and the entire bumper comes off with the taillight and the fender caves in. The repairs for the cars or customization in general takes way too long, my car was crashed pretty bad and it was at 47%, and that is going to take 30 minutes to fix. I don’t want to wait 30 minutes to drive my car again, i think that it should only be a couple minutes (1-3 minutes) because that seems like a reasonable amount of time. The steering wheel on the screen isn’t the worst to be honest, but i wish that it would turn more, because to be honest moving 90* in either direction and maxing out the wheel seems odd, im used to being able to spin it much farther like almost being upside down.

Few things to make it an amazing game

Carx drift 3 is amazing as is but needs major upgrades. 1. Online free roam with friends or online people. 2. Offer a car dealership with stock cars only . 3. Add a Aftermarket part shop. 4. Keep marketplace for upgrade cars only no stock cars. 5. Fill in the test drive track with more intersections for added immersion and take over intersection drifting. 6. Make a parts market level categories. 7. Add Infiniti G37 line and 07 Charger R/T. Overall amazing game. I have spent so many hours on it. Free roaming with friends is a must and a street style map with intersections. With these considerations the game will prosper at an all time high. Appreciate your guys effort on the game 🫡👍

Amazing game but sum issues

I downloaded the game a few months ago now and I have nothing bad to say about it, helps me pass time and keeps me from getting bored and the new update is amazing! Thank you for the body kits gives us more incentives to play, but I do have one issue they recently updated the game and I can no longer drift using my preffered method with the steering wheel analog, as long as you touched the steering wheel on the screen you would be able to drift from left to right no matter where on your screen your finger was, now you have to keep your finger exactly on the steering wheel on the screen and if you even move a bit too far to try to get some angle the steering wheel will just straighten out again

Suggestions

First of all, amazing game! I love how it’s presented in campaign. Feels like a real drift journey. Just some suggestions and requests:

Campaign needs more balance. It needs to be a little more easy to get parts and visuals for cars, to up performance. Because it’s actually pretty hard to complete full chapters in campaign, even if i have started from the very beginning, and completed everything and installed as many parts as possible. It’s still a little too hard to get all tasks completed. Just need to be able to get slightly better parts(both body and visual)!

Also, i bought c35, but i wanted to just customize to a regular street car. But it says sports chassis used and i cant install muffler or remove roll cage. (Not even an option). So please provide an option for more customization around this area! But everything else is amazing guys, thanks! Oh one more thing, can yall add FULL flax kit for s13? Doesn’t make sense to just have random parts like hood.

Thanks for reading!!

I Love it, and very exciting!!

I’ve loved all of the Car X games from the start but this one so far is interesting to me. I can’t wait for it to come out on consoles and PC. The soft body physics are a very nice touch and something I’ve always wished Car X had. There are so many new little features also that I very much appreciate, from the TCS toggle, tire wear, and even the sponsors etc. It feels like just what I would expect and want from these games but it is a new refreshed experience. I can’t wait to see this game moving forward. I appreciate the team behind these games and I am excited to see what is to come.

AI, penalties and connection

I think the game is great, i love how you can tell just how much work was put into it. Grinding is neither too easy or unnecessarily difficult. Id say the only issue i face is just how exact, or perfect each race needs to be due to the requirements put into them, and the drivers you race against(for campaign). Im about 90% done with the campaign, and the 10% is due to unbelievably insane expectations for the player. For example, in some races, the only way to successfully compete against the driver or one up them, is to drive ahead of them or get really close. But then you’re hit with the fair, and just, penalty for overtaking, and collision. I see and understand how these penalties for players are necessary, however, when the ai driver is able to pull insane racing lines, no adjustments, no decrease in speed, and no tire spin after exiting a drift zone(giving them an unfair speed boost) it makes trying to go against those penalties the only option. Next is the deceleration penalty. Its a completely understandable penalty. Except when youre going 130kmh into tight 180, where the only option is to slow down. Like what am i supposed to do? Lastly, i think the most important thing to me is offline play. Why do i need connection to play campaign?
