Thumb Drift - Furious Racing Reviews

This game is very simple an clean. The animations and UI are snappy and easy to navigate. I understand this game isn’t supposed to be 100% realistic, but the way you control the car doesn’t make sense. For example, the more you drag to turn your car, the smaller the turn radius. In other words, no matter how fast you are moving or how sharp you turn, you always get the same “grip”. Making this game all about how fast you can react to the turns and how precise your timing is. It’s hard to explain but it just doesn’t represent actual drifting very well. And for an app purely based around drifting, it’s disappointing there is no more strategy involved besides swiping left and right really fast and trying to avoid walls. The game itself isn’t bad, but it’s a bit stale. Too bad they already released the game with these mechanics, now they can’t change them. It would be like Call of Duty changing to a third third person shooter (but obviously not to the same degree.) Well devolved game, just missing some logic. On another note, ads come up after every 5 or so attempts, (could also be time based, I don’t know) and they aren’t very intrusive to the game compared to other games I’ve experienced. Overall a decent game.

I really love this game it’s super addictive and the choice of cars is really nice, the gameplay feels good and the ui is clean and easy to navigate. For me there is one big problem that drops the fifth star off of this review, that being the difficulty vs the actual reward for all the different tracks, all of the tracks give you the same score/amount of coins but the 4-7 tracks are waay more difficult than the first 3 and there is no real reason to play on them.

This game use to be my go to. Played it every day for a long time. I haven’t played it in a while but just started playing again and the amount of adds is ridiculous. For about every 5 seconds of drive time you have to sit through a 30 second add. It’s not worth it, yes it has a “remove adds” option but I didn’t download a “free” app to be forced to pay money to play it. Also I’ve noticed that the more you play a track it starts you off faster at the beginning. If you play enough consistently you don’t really notice it but trying to play it again after months of not touching it pretty hard to do now with how fast it starts me off. I confirmed this by downloading it onto my girlfriends phone and playing it for a while on there and it was pretty easy and slow going on her phone but on mine the second the car starts to move it’s flying. Also some of the cars don’t show up when you play with them. They’re fine in the selection menu but when you’re on the track all you see is the rectangular shadow of an invisible car.

I’ve always loved this game, played a couple of years ago and decided to install it again. After seeing the reviews here lately I felt like I had to write my own because of the amount of lies and deception I have read.

First, the ads. No, there aren’t too many ads. In fact I get 0-1 ads for about 20 minutes of play time, that is NOTHING compared to almost all free apps on the AppStore. You are given the option to double your coins by watching an ad once you die BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO. This game is very fair when it comes to ads and it saddens me seeing developers being trash talked for being “greedy” when they are being the opposite.

The “drifting” aspect of this game. It’s not realistic, but it’s not meant to be. This is a game about difficulty, setting new records and unlocking cars. It’s not about the difficulties of drifting but about dodging obstacles and following a difficult track for as long as you can. If you came here for realism then this isn’t ThumbDrift for you.

Lastly I’d like to talk about performance. I read a few reviews talking about lag or crashes. This game runs perfectly on my IPhone 5 and my newer device as well. No crashing, no lag, no overheating. I really don’t know what device this could lag on.

Overall this game is an incredible time waster and I hope this review helped some people.

Recently I have just been soooo bored and installing games and later on deleting them or not play them ever again but this game tho. Is like the heart of my life Bru I love it there are so many carssss you can winn and I won my dream car and I love it this game is definitely one of the best games to ever exist I love the neo map and others too and it doesn’t give much ads as I expected I’m glad y’all aren’t greedy. You could also put the song Tokyo drift over it and makes it BETTTERRR with obviously the game song off it’s sooo amazing I love the controls love the maps and graphics and ESPECIALLY love the cars :) for anyone reading this if your a really big fan of fast and furious: Tokyo drift like me then I suggest this game for you
Also can you like add the knight rider (KITT) I would love it and this game even more :>>>>

There’s a few problems with this game that make me wish I had never downloaded it.
• there are ads on the loading screen when you load into the game. If you get one of these ads, the game won’t load and you have to restart it.
• ads come often when playing. Every 2-4 tries, you get a 15-30 second ad. Considering that each try lasts usually 1min or less, it’s just annoying.
• the game is laggy. There are no graphics settings, and the game sometimes just drops to about 2fps, inevitably killing you.
• some good things about the game: gameplay seems well-thought out, I love the cars, and while the game doesn’t run well, the graphics look great, so you can enjoy looking at the same beautiful frame for half a second when playing.

Don't get me wrong, this game is awesome. Although, with the new update, the newer cars have become INSANELY expensive to unlock. It went from like 500 coins to 2400. Who in their right mind can play long enough to collect 2400 coins?! PLEASE lower the cost to something reasonable like 800, or at least raise the coin density. I haven't gotten a new car in a week because I can't afford it. Please consider my opinions, but keep up the good work!

UPDATE: I can't get any new cars now. About a month ago, I opened the game and saw that I had a free car. Awesome, right? Not really. Every time I go to select a car or to buy a new one, the white bar to select a car disappears after a fraction of a second. It isn't very fun anymore knowing that I can't progress any further in the game. Pretty disappointed.

Hello i love your game so much but i think we gonna more cars. I think you should put more of the finest jdm car or maybe you should put some malaysian cars like perodua gen 2 or perodua satria neo because im from malaysia and i'll be very happy if make those car. Another one is you should put race mode it gonna very awesome if there a race mode. Anyway im just a kid with some suggestion because i think this game got pontential. One more thing there's a glitch went you go through the coin it didnt not collect it so please fix it. Thank you :)

The game seemed like it could have been fun. BUT, there were constant ads after almost every game. And not only were there constant ads, but the ads would constantly open up in safari, then open ThumbDrift Store, so that any time I went to safari it would open ThumbDrift Store again, trapping me in an endless cycle of the same stupid ad. And worse yet the ad was always the same garden scapes ad. I DON’T WANT GARDEN SCAPES!!! If it weren’t for the ads I may have gotten to enjoy the game, but as it stands 70% of the time spent on the game is just navigating the ads, leaving me with very little time to get good at or even just play the game. And now I don’t want to even play it because the ads have ruined the experience.

I wish I could be paid with in game coins to write a good review, I over all love the game and the whole car selection, cant wait till Nicole's 240 hopefully gets added beside Adams. I will say the only thing I wish would be easier is getting the hidden cars. But I guess that would ruin the point of them being hidden cars. And if anyone was wondering, no I wasnt paid to write this, I just saw a tweet where someone tried to say they were paid to write a short review of ThumbDrift.

This game has so much potential to be one of the best on ThumbDrift Store at the moment. It's got smooth gameplay, many cars and features, and also many different maps. The major flaw is the advertisements. There's ads every other time I crash, and it gets super annoying. I know my friends that play this game all say the same thing. Sometimes it seems like I spend more time watching ads than I do actually playing the game. And it's not like you can always skip them too. We get it... you want money for your free game, but please, don't go overboard with the advertisements.

Please remove the tiny gap on the Gymkhana track. I’ve been trying to get a new high score for so long, and the same thing happens on literally every single run. I get up to around 700, and then this tiny gap suddenly appears that I have to go through. The worst part is, there’s ALWAYS a sideways crate after this gap, and I can never get past this. I have 4 friends who play this game who all experience the same problem. This spot NEEDS to be nerfed.

Despite this, very fun and addictive game.

The amount of ads is extremely annoying, for veterans like me it’s not an issue but for newcomers it will be, they will crash their cars way too quick and will have to watch a 30 second ad and it’s not worth it and you’ll lose that player. A couple of years ago this game was clean, no ads, and it felt so smooth. The game mechanics are excellent as always and I see the developers have added loads of new cars and the creativity is appreciated.

Not gonna lie I was a little unsure at first weather or not I would be able to get into this game just because of the toon style graphics. But, now I’m glad I did. My friends and I even play it as a pass and play game sometimes too. 9/10 would recommend.
Reason it isn’t 10 is honestly just because of the fact that at times it gets pretty hard to collect coins. But a free car timer pretty much makes up for it

The physics are pretty good, and it has a lot of potential, but there's two major problems. 1: all of the car sounds are a v8. 4 bangers and v12s alike, they all sound the same, an overplayed v8 sound, take the Supra for example, it has an inline 6, which sounds drastically different from a v8. It would be nice to hear different stuff. 2: hit boxes, they are a bit off, you could barely miss the wall and it would count it. Besides those two things it's a great game

For a game on your telephone it's pretty sweet. It's actually pretty difficult at first but easy to progress. The challenges make for a good way to get better. The handling is really difficult while getting used to it. It feels like you're going to crash all the time until you get more used to the physics. Nice learning curve. A lot of really cool cars. Multiple good maps that get more difficult. Pretty simple to get more cars

When I started I like the way it was smooth and slow but when I completed it it was faster then I excepted. Pls make it like the tutorials speed because I keep crashing on the walls and I always need to watch the dummy fly around in my screen I wish it was slow and smoother like the tutorial. Those were the problems so pls do what I say.

This is such a great game and i have a lot of fun. There is a glitch on furious road where u can get outside the map and get a very high score. I love the challenge part of the game and the idea of having the secret cars it's so fun trying to collect them all. All i need is the wiener mobile and i had some idea but they haven't rlly worked yet but i'm still trying. Keep up the great work and keep progressing the game!!

A while back I got into this game a lot. I got bored because there was no updates so I got an idea, “why don’t I ask the devs for an update?” I didn’t think they would add an update or even respond but then they responded saying thanks for the feedback and a month or two later there was a new map. I have a lot of respect for the devs since they listened.

The game has many cars, fun tracks and is always the game I go to when I am somewhere bored with only my phone. The game is fun and fast and epic and crazy and it is overall worth the money, except it’s free. No reason not to get it. There are not too many adds anyway.
