Crap of an app! Don’t use this app!!!!

I’ve had Habits for a few years. Paid premium. A few days ago all of what I was tracking completely disappeared. I sent the developer an email…..no response at all. I added all of what I wanted to track once again into Habits . Today, they’ve all disappeared again. So, I’m leaving Habits even though I’ve paid the premium price and it doesn’t renew until April. The fact that the developer doesn’t respond is a hint that there’s something wrong with Habits !

Bug with Widgets

I am using the free version of Habits. The bug I found is when you add your tasks to your Home Screen as widgets. If you go back into Habits and change the name of a task (e.x. From ‘working out’ to ‘stretching’) it will not update the corresponding widget. I tried getting rid of the widgets, placing them again on the Home Screen and selecting the correct tasks. It still will not update to the latest task version. The only way it works for me is to uninstall and reinstall Habits and recreating my tasks again.

It’s okay

I like the simplicity of the user interface. However, the features are *too* simple. It only allows you to indicate whether you did or didn’t do a habit on a given day. They should add a feature that would show that you voluntarily skipped a day.

For example, I’m trying to make a habit of opening my postal mail as soon as I come back from the mailbox. Habits will not allow me to indicate a day was skipped because the mail didn’t come.

Another example, I am trying to exercise Mondays through Saturdays but not Sundays, my day of rest. Habits will not allow me to show that Sundays or travel days were intentionally skipped. The record incorrectly looks like I failed those days.

I want to see at a glance my pattern without having to try to remember which days counted towards my goal and which didn’t.

Another feature that’s lacking is the inability to make notes about a given day. I’d like to be able to record why I didn’t do my habit so I can see if there’s a pattern, like sleeping too much is keeping me from doing my exercises.

50,000 Push-ups.

It’s an amazing app. I’m 15, I just wanted to start doing 137 pushups every day for 1 year. And that will add up to 50,000 push-ups. And I just wanted a app to track it. And I’m 5 days in. I have done 685 so far. And I want Habits to keep track and save my progress. Even years from now. Idk if it would save this. A few years from now. But it will the years progress. Although. I would appreciate if y’all make Habits so you can save the progress. So we know and we can look back from 3 years from now and say I did that every day. And it would also help them to want to come back to Habits 4 stars I will give Habits . 5 stars if y’all make it so I can save what I have done.

Love it except one thing

Amazing app except I would love it if two things could be added 1) the ability to categorize this app (ie: put a collection of this app into the category “exercise“ for example). And 2) it would be amazing if you could view all of the this app on the calendar together, or at least toggle to view a collection of this app on the calendar together.

The reason is because mainly use Habits to track exercise, and I have separate this app for swimming, running, yoga, weights etc. It would be good to be able to see all of those items on the calendar together rather than viewing them separately to get an idea of how active I am overall.

Otherwise this is a great app! Thanks!

Pretty easy to use for free app

Pretty cute and easy to use for free app. Only three this app allowed for free but that’s enough for me. Like many free apps you have to deal with an ad for the paid subscription whenever you log in but once you X out of it, it doesn’t pop up again.

Perfection for brain fog

I have brain fog from Post Covid syndrome and often forget when I've done something like lake my blood pressure. Habits helps me remember that I have done it so I don't do the goal too often. It's well worth the money for expanded functionality.

Search bar

I really like Habits , it serves the purpose well, but

1. I would suggest to put a search bar, it had to fill specific task scrolling all over.
2. I want to customize how many times in a week, I want to repeat the habit.

Love this!!

This is an incredible app that has really helped me maintain consistent this app. If I had one small suggestions would be to make the widgets a little more fluid as the this app show up in Habits itself other than that, you won’t regret this one!!!

I track everything with this app!

I use it to track my chronic illness symptoms which could correlate with good or bad this app. I love seeing the calendars which keeps me on the right path. Thankful for the ease of interface and usability. Never had issues or crashes. Thank you!

Recommend for hygiene struggles

If you are neurodivergent or mentally ill; this is Habits for you. I often forget to take care of my teeth so Habits really helps me keep track of my hygiene. I imagine it would also help keep track of when meds are taken. Very simple and works as a widget! YIPPEE

LOVE THIS APP!!!

I love Habits so much. It’s simple and easy to use unlike other apps. All you have to do is press a button and then it shows it as completed. You can see what days you did your activity and how many days a week. If you would prefer something that is simple over a complicated app this is perfect.

One screen recent task completed view

Habits is awesome because you can quickly see the rate at which you’ve accomplished multiple reminders in one screen rather. This is better than diving deeply into each habit like in the other habit app I’ve been using.

My favorite habit tracking app

This is a lovely app. I appreciate the minimalist design and the interaction haptics. Habits has great widgets for your Home Screen to easily track and mark your this app.

The only thing I’d like is the ability to send multiple notifications for the same habit in one day.

But if you are looking for an solid habit tracking app I’d suggest this!

Simple but effective

Just what I was looking for in a habit tracking app…something simple but easy to track streaks and also satisfying to check off the habit each day. Wish I could figure out how to change the start of the week though…the settings option didn’t seem to work for me.

Cute and simple

Habits is amazing. Its simple, its easy to use, and exactly what I needed for getting started trying to make new this app and just wanting to get an idea of how often Im doing them.

Theres no over the top fancy tracker system. Just a yes or no question for did I complete the habit, and it shows you the entire month and what days you completed it on.

Perfect

This habit tracker is exactly what I was looking for! It’s simple, and aesthetically pleasing. It has the functions that I want, and nothing else. I like how customizable the colors are, and that it keeps track of my streaks. The only thing that could make it better would be a widget that shows streaks for each habit, similar to Duolingo. That little owl threatening me really does get the job done lol

Brilliant and simple

This is a great app because it allows you to customize it just enough, there are not so very many options that it becomes overwhelming. The color options are really great, and I am using this to track me going to work consistently, not eating sugar or sodas, taking my vitamins, it can be used for just about anything and I’m so very glad that it exists!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So so close

This is almost exactly what I’ve been looking for, but one feature is missing. Adding notes to each check mark would make it perfect, for example- I’m using it to track exercise, I can check it off each day, but I can’t specify exactly what I did. If I could add a short note to each check then that would be a game changer for me. Still giving five stars because Habits does function exactly as it says

Worth it!

Worth every penny. Being able to check off this app is motivating and satisfying. Love being able to see all of them on one screen and then click individually to see details on each habit!
