Hivemapper Companion Reviews

Every update fixes a minor bug and then breaks some basic functionality like connecting to camera or wallet. I need connections more than i need a new color of line on the map.

I am a founding member of Hivemapper using the original device. I waited a year to get my device and once I did every time there was an update the device would fail. I’ve been looking at a beautiful brick in my windshield for over a month. Using email or discord as your only options for Support is a joke. The mini firmware and software updates that continue to have problem after problem makes this an unworthy investment.

I am beyond frustrated! Apart from having to wait two days for an email response from customer service every time I have a question ,the tracking information that they gave me shows that the item has not even left the factory! I have been handed off to several different customer service reps with one even showing with a screenshot that my order was on a two day delivery. I don’t understand why I have to wait 1 to 2 days after each question I have for a simple response? I have resorted to finally writing a negative review in hopes that someone will finally reach out to me and take care of the situation. Extremely disappointing with the whole process and lack of empathy from the company representatives!

Doesn’t work with most phones. Always a chore to start mapping each day.

I’ve had HivemapperCompanion and dash cam for about two weeks now. The first week everything was kind of working but the UI was still pretty glitchy. Now I can’t even get my wallet to connect to HivemapperCompanion therefore it isn’t allowing me to upload map data. At this point I’m unsure if I’ll even recoup the startup cost of the camera. Reading back on these issues, it appears that this has been a consistent problem for this platform.

They might be a hardware and token designer, but app is pretty bad…

The dash am is constantly powering off and then back on. It will work for 10 minutes and then reset. Is this a known bug?

It works great, when it does. It mapped correctly about 65-70% of the time. I’ve been using the regular (not the upgraded s) Hivemapper camera for about two and a half months. Several whole day did not map (over 10,000 points) and there are large gaps between (about 75 ft - 1,000 ft ) where it doesn’t map or at all. Please make it work correctly, then I’ll give 5 stars and order the s-mapper camera.

HivemapperCompanion was working fine the first week but the next week it wouldn’t even connect to the dash cam I was connected to the dashcams wifi and had all permissions allowed and it still would tell me I needed to connect to the dashcam.

Have had HivemapperCompanion for 6+ months and have only positive things to say. Great support, easy and accessible app, and a great project to get behind. Highly recommend!

I have been using the Dashcamm for about 4 weeks so far is been working super good, there has been bugs here and there but they have been fix, as a new project there is alway going to be some issues down the line but as long as they get fix we are good, I’m very great full for this chance to make some money with what I’m already doing that is driving to my regular commute

I have to say I am really impressed with HivemapperCompanion and the progress the team has made in the few moths this project has been up and running. They are clearing up bugs and making improvements really quickly. Communication on Discord is good and I am looking forward to what this project is going to grow into.

The first few iterations had some issues, but the team has made some huge improvements and HivemapperCompanion has been amazing, especially with the recent update. Hopefully it stays like this, but the good news is that the team has been responsive and the Discord community has been super helpful.

I Use HivemapperCompanion everyday and the experience has consistently improved over the last year with valuable enhancements. The team behind it is quick to troubleshoot and very responsive.

First and foremost I absolutely love this project. Since I started using HivemapperCompanion and dash cam back in August, they have only improved significantly. Upload speeds are easier app does not crash at all anymore and it's a much more seamless transition on the uploading side of things. Overall I love the team the discord is super friendly and helpful by far my favorite crypto project behind Solana and Atom. For anyone who is a gig worker truck driver or even someone who has a car I highly recommend!

Really great! As other reviews, bugs are here and there but overall great experience! Bugs are slowly being fixed and they are minor. I've been mapping for about 6 months and drive all over. This is really worth it! Check it out if you haven't already.

I got my hivemapper dash cam back in March. The company is taking mapping into the decentralized world and we all get to share in the success of our efforts. Many changes for the better since the beginning of the year. Easy to plug and play. Earn HONEY and look forward to the growth of a digital asset company growth and come on bull run 2024+. Bzzzzzzz!

Yes it’s new , yes it may have bugs here and there but hivemapper team is always updating and improving app performance and adding new features . Keep up the hard work as we map the world !

While there are some hiccups that come from growth HivemapperCompanion/camera is by far the best paying #DePIN project in the world. Look for me as a contributor. Ambitious Tomato Bus.

HivemapperCompanion is extremely easy to use. It has a very passive business model that we can all participate in. I would consider being a fleet manager. If I have any questions or doubts regarding bugs, I can write to them through Discord and I always receive an answer. If not, I can contact them by mail, and they are always helpful for the community. They are doing an excellent job!

Constant updates to HivemapperCompanion improve the experience with every release. Team grinds nonstop to deliver!

I think it’s great. My only suggestion would be to add the hours that we can map.
