Could definitly be awesome

**Update**

TLDR; you will spend more time trying to figure out what needs to be done and what was added back in, or if the timer actually counted down properly than doing work.

Let me start by saying this is a visaully beautiful app, but that's where the pros end.

-Items don't update across tabs 80 percent of the time
-The boards are clutterd.
-The focus tab just doesnt work. Timers end early and have no manual restart, stop or play for 'break' and 'focus'.
-You have to manually add tasks to the focus area that are already in your 'today' on your monthly board
-if you close program items that you finished are back in the to-dao area many times. Primarily I notice this if you mark done form the focus area.
-The timers are absolutly screwy, I used another timer to check accuracy and a 25 min timer will end at random times. Sometimes 4 mins, 13 mins, 8 mins, etc.

=============Initial review================

A few of the options such as the 'focus' are not very intuitive, and when you go to the website for documention the website is aweful and if there is documention I was unable to find it on the website. There are also many bugs such as the 'edit' option under goals doesnt do anything. You have to delete the entire goal and recreate it if you want to change anything. Still gonna give it some time but I wouldn't spend your money just yet.

Please Invest To Fix This App

Rizen could be amazing. The ideology behind it is great. To see visually where your habits are focused and where they are not is eye opening and can show you how unbalanced your habits are to one area of your life, while another area might be more neglected. The decision matrix and all the features are great but Rizen functionality is terrible. I found button would not work, the syncing to my iphone would not work. Vasiliy Ivanov, please invest in improving the usability, functionality, and user experience. Rizen could be a game changer for a lot of people. So much so, that I wrote my first app review in hopes you actually read this and fix it because I wanted to love your app so badly, but I ended up switching to Rise because its design and usage was far more end user friendly. This product feels like an MVP that was never improved.

Awesome

It's an excellent application to help you organize your time! I am really impressed by the ability to define the time of the reminder in a specific manner which is ideal for those with an unscheduled schedule each day. A thing to be aware of is the option to choose the habit. While you could compose it yourself, it doesn't have any effect on anything, I'd prefer to have a different habit that I can choose from, besides choosing "other". Also, it's a shame that you have to be able to pay for backup however it's reasonable.

Excited!!!

Pros: It does what it does pretty well. It's very intuitive. It's a very helpful tool and macOS doesn't have many of them available. Cons: The widgets are oddly non-useful. The main screen of Rizen itself is an overview of how you're doing on all of your habits. Perfect! But the widgets only show one at a time with no similar bird's eye view. Rather than use a widget, it's easier to just click on Rizen . What I'd like to see: Syncing between devices, though that might be a lot to ask of a completely free open-source app. Since it is open source maybe someone else will run with that.

Thanks, Rizen

Excellent app! Been using it for a while now and I love the interface and the reminders and the flexibility of it all. Really helping me in my health goals. The only bug I see is the Best Streaks section does not seem to recalculate when you go back and add or remove days. E.g. if it shows a streak from June 2 to June 10, and you go and remove June 6 because you mistakenly added it back then, the streak remains unchanged. Can you please make the streak calculations dynamic, based on the current data?

Good product

I've only used it for only for a week and I'm loving it! It's easy to use and nice visually and I love the ability to set the times of the week the goal is attainable and you can also choose what method to use to ensure the goal is attained (y/n or a specific number, or other). There are only 5 goals in the free version, and there is no backup on the cloud, but for now, this is what I use. There is an option to rearrange your goals (when viewing them in the menu bar, beneath My Order, press and hold goal, and then drag) and you can look at them by score

Surprised

Good so far. I'd like to make a few suggestions though. The first is ideal. It would be nice to see more integration with Google's ecosystem. For example, allowing a link to something like the Keep Second, the ability to have a reminder be "fired" not just at certain times, but, moreover, at certain places and at certain times when at those places. Lastly, it would be nice to add the ability to schedule reminders to fire at specific times of the year, as my winter habits differ from summer ones.

Love app

The tracker features a simple interface, and it's easy to create routines. I've only encountered one glitch that happens when viewing your calendar of the particular habit, the heading will not appear. If I could make improvements to Rizen , I'd like to have the description of the habit appear on the calendar view of the habit. You have to click on the name of the habit to read the description. I'd also like to offer an option of including the days you can skip so that if must skip a routine, it isn't a factor in the progress of your streak.

Okay app

I wasn't sure if this application was anything special initially however, I quickly began to fall into the flow of the things I've been trying to do for quite some time after installation. There's something to that feeling of satisfaction you get when you complete a circle after the accomplishment of something. It keeps track of your streaks and the average of your improvement. It also inspires you with adorable images of you being the best version of yourself! The process of forming (or breaking) a habit is easy with Habit Bull!

great app!!

I've been using Rizen for years, it has never cost me anything, and has only gotten better over time. Much better, in fact, with common sense new features and refinements. It's a treasure, honestly. PS - Just discovered TONIGHT that if you select more than one habit for a widget, you can flick up and down to cycle habits for that widget. (Until now, I've thought that feature was broken haha.) Great for my needs, and my home screen. I'm pumped!

Convenient app

Exactly what I need. I have tried out so many different apps for improving productivity and habit retention. This one hits the sweet spot. On the surface, it looks almost bland but that's why it's great. I don't get sucked into Rizen itself, I just use it for tracking my progress. Clicking on the notifications takes you directly to your stats which, for me, encourages me to not lose my streak. Requiring a long press to mark it as done prevents absent-minded tapping to get it out of the way

Yes

Rizen may only track habits, but it does so perfectly and for free! this app is reliable and predictable; I've never had issues with notifications not showing up. It's local-only, so it doesn't have a syncing or real-time backup, but it's also not another account to sign in to. Its file-based backup and restore work well, and you can also check and uncheck items automatically with Tasker. It's well-maintained by the dev, with up-to-date features like sticky notifications and a dark theme.

It really works.

I love the aesthetic of this app, as a developer myself I truly appreciate the work that went into Rizen, and for that reason, I paid for the premium version which I never do. However, I don't give it 5 stars because I really wished Rizen had a weekly/monthly tracking system as well so you get a sense of your progress and how well you've been doing. Also, I would add some sort of streak achievement thing when you complete all your habits for the day. And that's all, really like Rizen :)

Super App

Simple, but solid habit tracker. This still isn't what I'm looking for, but it's a decent habit tracker. I like that you can choose different colors, that you can skip without breaking a streak (for those things that are 3x/wk), and that they have two different tracking types. I don't like that you can't scroll back earlier in the week and that you can't aggregate data, which is the most important and impossible feature for me to find. The stats are lacking for me, I'll keep looking.

So far so good

I use it to keep the track of my tasks once I have completed them. I don't need to receive a reminder for a task, I simply need to keep the track of it. Rizen lets me disengage reminders. It is as simple as logging off your day. It shows you the days that are circled according to the way you plan your work. It's user-friendly and simple. You can set up multiple tasks (or routines to be) and schedule them in separate ways and monitor them all on the same home page. It will provide you with stats and information to monitor the progress you have made. For those who find that reminders create unnecessary stress (i.e. reminders for workouts), This application is superior to calendar scheduling.

Five Star for Rizen

I love Rizen so much! It's great for setting reminders to help with creating habits, but it also has a really great widget that lets you quickly check off things you've done without even opening Rizen . Great analytics too and no ads. The only thing I can think of that would make it even better would be to add the ability to set a habit reminder for things that need to be done multiple times a day (ie. water intake, twice daily meds, etc). Otherwise, honestly, Rizen is perfect!

Love this app!

I am really impressed with how easy the interface is and how it shows the progress you've made in a tidy and simple way to track and offers you several the option for evaluating your progress (yes/no for each day number of days in a week, days that you'd like to be successful and days that you're able to cheat and so on). It's quite pleasing to tap the tiny circle to mark something I did, and then see it change to green and connect to other days! I would definitely recommend it.

Works great for me

The top-rated Habit Tracking app in my opinion. It allows you to record the number of time you spend doing your activities and view the final results when you are done with each week. If you record your activities, it shows the average of activities you have completed during the week. Rizen helps me keep my schedule in order and reminds me of the things I have to accomplish throughout the day. It's extremely practical. It is very easy to use and absolutely free! I would not ever be able without it. Thank you.

Excellent app

I've only been using it for only for a week and I'm loving this app! Simple to use, beautiful visually and I like the fact that you can decide the times of the week the goal will be achieved and you can also choose how you'll be able to achieve the goal (y/n or a certain number or other). The goal is limited to 5 in the free version, and there's no backup in cloud storage, but for the moment this is what I use. There is an option to rearrange your goals (when viewing them in the menu bar in the section called My Order, press and hold goal, and then drag) and you can look at them by score

Best App So Far...

Simple to configure for the daily tracker is easy. Visual displays are great. If you have a set routine for every other day or with an interval between Rizen displays the chain in open circles instead of solidly-colored circles. If the goal is a set amount of repetitions or minutes that it color-codes your entry differently based on whether or not you completed or completed more reps than you were aiming for. It is a free application at present, but will eventually upgrade.
