I just decided to see what this app had to offer. Immediately upon first opening it I was hit with a popup to “upgrade”, presumably to a paid version. Either way, how can I know if I want to even use the app much less upgrade after only being on it for 2 seconds. So I had to decline the offer and take my chances with trying to get more info. Clicking two buttons showed me nothing nor had any instructions or information about what was possible. The third click again produced the offer to upgrade even though I wasn’t shown anything but at least now I knew even if I closed it I probably would be able to get that offer later. Before being able to navigate anywhere else to try to see what the app was all about, I got the popup asking “are you enjoying the app?”
This all seemed reminiscent of the desperation of third world entertainers, service people, others to be tipped being so overbearing that it’s a turn off since you’re left with the feeling that you’re providing the service, entertainment, or in this case I still have no idea what this app is supposed to do but was definitely left feeling badgered after being hounded to think, act, or decide those 3 times in less than a minute.
Cool your jets guys and maybe turn the focus back on the users experience, at least a little before expecting any such “informed” decisions to be made, eh Julio?
