Pillars: Prayer Times & Qibla Reviews

Pillars is simple and very user-friendly which is exactly what we all need in an app for prayer. In addition, there’s no ridiculous monthly charge or even a one-time charge for your use of Pillars . If you are currently using Muslim Pro and are hesitant to switch - look no further. This is the perfect alternative that will not let you down.

Also, the widget feature is lovely and I am so glad that it is implemented. Makes checking for upcoming prayer times so much easier without going through the process of opening Pillars every time. Be sure to use the widget feature on your phone for Pillars !

it’s really hard to find a prayer app that doesn’t have ads and that is as politically aware in regards to data and privacy. and the amazing design is a great plus :) cant wait until they add timings for us poor americans haha. may Allah increase the barakah

- update: they added the 12 hour timing option a few weeks after I posted!! that’s so cool and it’s now basically perfect

I love Pillars 100% you should totally get Pillars. It’s modern it’s sleek and I love the colors it’s so beautiful Pillars and the widget! Just one tiny change to make this 5 star… the widgets…. You see there is only one widget setting I wish you would have different sizes and times, maybe one could have a widget that shows you how much time until Maghreb, or maybe one that shows all the time an example is pray watch it has the best widgets and maybe you should take like them. Thank you for your time!!!!! 😁

I’ve been waiting for an app that is this aesthetically pleasing. This is amazing for prayer times and the widget is one of the best looking iOS widgets for ANY app in Pillars Store. The only thing that makes me only give 4 stars is that there is not option to change the method of Qiblah determination to the Ahlussunnah Method. I know so many people in the community that would have downloaded Pillars if only it had that option! I’ll keep it for the prayer times and then use another app for direction.

Best app for prayers I’ve used so far. The user interface is nice and simple with no complicated designs or anything like that.

What I especially enjoy, though, is that there’s no ads. I cannot tell you enough how annoying it is to be bombarded with ads while I’m trying to do something as simple as checking the time for the next prayer.

I recommend Pillars.

i was not happy with muslim pro ads but they had things that i like. i live in malaysia n MP allowed us to choose our own religious dept calculations ie JAKIM. this app has singapore but thats almost 300 miles away from where i am and my adhans are off by 2-3 minutes and fajr is off by 10 minutes!!! also MP had angle-based method and manual corrections for prayer times. may allah bless you for your efforts.

The main two functions I need are here, prayer times and a qibla. Such a simple UI that iA I hope to recommend this to older family members who currently use other clunky and ad-filled prayer time apps. I look forward to seeing what other functionality is added in the future, may Allah swt reward the developers for their efforts.

I’m sure others have mentioned but you can’t check that you’ve done Isha because it’s blocked by the banners at the bottom. You also can’t adjust the notification for Isha because it’s blocked by the tabs. A scroll thingy would fix this. Maybe it’s because my iPhone 8 is smaller?

Would ask for one feature I used all the time in my previous prayer app: prenotifications.

I usually find myself busy working and it's helpful to get a notification that reminds me that the next prayer will start in X minutes so I should get up and make wudhu/pray.

Otherwise, solid app MashaAllah!

Upon its first launch it has blown me away wth how beautiful Pillars appearance is and how simple it is to use. Also, the fact that it doesn’t track or use our data makes me feel 100% safe and comfortable using it. Congratulations on the amazing app and inshallah it’ll reach more and more Muslims with time 🤲🏼❤️

Mashallah Pillars is amazing. I love that it is completely free and doesn’t shove ads down your throat. What I love even more is the menstruation feature. You tap a little droplet icon in the top right corner of the tracker and it will pause your tracking. This is the only app I’ve seen do this. JazakAllah khair.

I’ve been waiting for an app like this for a while. Nothing else like it on the AppStore, no ads, beautiful widgets, clean and simple.

If you want to make any income through this, keep ads out but just ad a ‘tip jar’ feature. It’s invasive and helps you guys out InshaAllah.

Very useful, practical, and app with a very clean interface. No worries for any ads as well, I found particular benefit in the tracker feature. Would recommend to any family and friend as a go to in order to keep prayer timings and consistency in check Alhamdulillah.

The people behind Pillars are amazing. If you read any reviews and look at the updates you can see that they actually listen and appreciate our feedback. If you add a donate option without any pop ups I would gladly donate.

I recently deleted Muslim Pro due its privacy scandal and was looking for a replacement app. So happy I found a buzzfeed article talking about Pillars and how great it was. I am so pleased I downloaded it. It’s very user friendly, no ads, and respects our privacy. Thank you to the developers!

Very easy to use app with no ads. The interface is smooth. Jazakum Allahu khairan for your efforts. Please create an accompanying app for the Apple Watch. I transitioned to this app from Muslim Pro - and the only thing I miss is the small widget on my Apple Watch face abjure the next prayer time.

I like that Pillars is ad-free and no cost and the design is great. I hope they keep the features that are currently free at no cost if they monetize in the future. Also I hope they make a companion Quran app too with similar elegant design and no ads ;)

Very simple and Straightforward. Just Salah times and that’s it. No ads. No bombardment with other unnecessary features. It’s light enough for my iPhone 6 lol. It has just one goal: remind you of your Salah. And, the best part: It’s made by Muslims!

I only have one problem, app widget doesn’t show prayers time .. it shows only the widget background that should be filled with text

just a minutes ago, saw someone tweeting Pillars. tho about to give it a try, since the current free app that i’m using is where ads overlapping the athaan sound.

in this app — finally, an app freedom! no ads, exactly like what it stated.

clean design — minimalist, readable. love the color-combo.

single-click function — straight forward to what it does. love this so much.

and freaking love the military-time-format.

the “settings” part is a bit rich of long-text, more feel like “about page” than “app setting”. anyhow, it don’t bother much right now. definitely in love with Pillars simplicity.

I’ve been looking for an alternative to the slew of adhan apps on the market and this is one the best I’ve found! It’s extremely easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.

So glad someone made a focused, simple, well designed app for prayer times. Thank you to the developers.

You guys did a great job on the design and ux just really would love if you add a widget soon because it’s helpful for quickly glancing.
