Family NP Exam Review Reviews

I purchased FamilyNPExamReview and found so many errors! I honestly feel like I should have been on their payroll since I kept having to email them about the SEVERAL miskeyed questions! The review parts were also messed up and would describe one disease process under another disease tab. I wasn’t even offered my money back or anything, just a “thanks for doing our job” kind of email…

I signed up for one month subscription and FamilyNPExamReview isn’t working. Unable to reach anyone for a refund.

No support, is a clone of the original app. Untrue/Misleading information on FamilyNPExamReview . Your money will not be refunded. You will fail for sure if you use this unrevised, misleading app.

Some of the information is incorrect and not current with the guidelines, which does a disservice to test takers.

I’m about 600 questions in and these are my thoughts:

FamilyNPExamReview is not optimized for mobile, the opening graphic is cut off and makes me wonder why a 17 year old app hasn’t addressed an admittedly minor issue. But if they can’t fix that, is the rest of FamilyNPExamReview being updated? Come on. It’s the first impression so many people get about FamilyNPExamReview !
-I frequently have to close and reopen app if I leave it open, leave FamilyNPExamReview (researching a question) because it glitches and the words all disappear and I can’t click next/previous…this is especially frustrating if I was researching a question and then the whole question disappears

There are quite a few repeat questions…so their total question count is a bit lower than what they advertise. I’m talking word-for-word. I understand reinforcing concepts but…give me a new question

Now the most important point: the rationales are overall pretty good. I have seen other apps who go a little more in depth, which I appreciate. Usually Leik will explain the correct answer, and also why the others are incorrect, BUT not always and that does frustrate me. This is my biggest gripe.

Some other cool features:
-full length practice exams (4)…I’m not sure if these are the same questions that it gives you for 10 Questions a day goal bank…if so, not going to be too helpful
-graded knowledge of different systems to identify areas of weakness
-targeted quizzes based on systems
-custom quizzes

This review is great. It breaks down everything in a easy to understand format. I am using this everyday and I know that I will be successful with this exam.

I did the SM review and failed. So I picked up FamilyNPExamReview. Took notes, completed the quizzes… yesterday I passed my ANCC!!! I felt so much more prepared with FamilyNPExamReview.

I ended up purchasing this before getting the book that included a digital code. Although the content here is the same as the book, it has features like don’t know/somewhat know/know when taking questions…which I found to be extremely helpful. I also loved that I could take it anywhere with being that it’s an app designed for a phone. The tests in here (all practice questions and mock exams) are the same as what is included in the textbook (4th edition). FYI: FamilyNPExamReview corresponds with the 4th edition book whereas the other app corresponds with the 3rd edition- in short, GET FamilyNPExamReview AND NOT THE OTHER! I passed the AANP today and all I relied on was FamilyNPExamReview.
