This platform has the bones to be something great but honestly it looks and feels like a rushed product. Nothing is polished and the UI is very clunky. They are trying to push in a new feature to reward positivity but it makes no sense. It is a classic example of trying to do too much at once so nothing is done in a solid way.

The first example of what you are getting yourself into can be seen just by opening FreeSpaceSocial . The splash screen is a picture of spinning dots rather then an actual animation of spinning loading dots. The fact they couldn’t even make a nice splash screen shows how rushed the project is.

Now I don’t blame them since they rushed to have a parlor alternative but unless your a dedicated user willing to post things to a small user base and spend most of your time trying to figure out what this or that button does, I’d say it’s time to wait until the developers update this thing to something more usable.

In its current form FreeSpaceSocial is destined to fail so I hope the developers look at their competitors and make the changes necessary.

I love how I can post whatever I want whenever I want EVEN IF its super offensive to some people. Although, dont get me wrong Im not trying to say or post offensive things... im not trying to go out of my way to do that. However, I can if I want to and thats the beauty of FreeSpaceSocial no one can tell me what I can and cant post.

So I really hope to see FreeSpaceSocial blow up, and I also hope soon It could have a “gamer” cuz ya know im a gamer but also love freedom and not some anarcho communist. talking to you ashton hughes!

I am so happy that FreeSpaceSocial finally went live! It combines the features from multiple other apps like Facebook and Twitter. I like the chat feature and it’s encrypted! I also really like that they encourage good behavior (i.e. random act of kindness, donating to charity, helping a neighbor, getting involved in our local communities, etc.). With other social media platforms celebrating everything toxic, this is so refreshing!

I got FreeSpaceSocial when it was first released and had a good time but struggled a bit with it’s features. Now though I can’t even get into FreeSpaceSocial . As soon as I open it, it crashes. And you can’t access this one online really when it fails on your devices. Please guys fix this it’s a consistent problem I have with your app. I have an iPhone 7plus and while I know it’s old I shouldn’t be forced to upgrade just to access a social media app.

We need to remember this is a beta build and they are brand new. With that context this platform is far ahead of were FB or IG started and miles ahead of Parler. So let’s give it time and cheer it along.

I love how this platform addresses the social dilemma issue. It inspires you to share your positive actions with the community in addition to what you normally expect from a social media platform.

NEWS FEEDS
It pulls in the top news of the day from multiple sources so a person is not forced into a certain narrative or view point.

THE ROOMS FEATURE
This is like FB groups but with recognition built in and a step ahead.

I downloaded FreeSpaceSocial and tried to set up an account but it takes me to a window asking me for my phone number and then when I put that in it tells me this number doesn’t exist and I put in my email and then it goes to another window asking for a phone number again. I’ve looked and tried to put a set up an account but it doesn’t go anywhere but to the window that asked for your phone number. Can anyone tell me what I need to do thank you

I signed up. Sent many links out. Logged out and now FreeSpaceSocial keeps crashing or when I tap to log in it takes me back to put my phone number in like I’m starting all over. Please help.

I’ve been in FreeSpaceSocial for a while and there were definitely some bugs in the beginning but it has improved greatly over the past few weeks!

Just downloaded it today & learning how to use it, but so far so good. I have not used FB, Twitter & IG in many years due to the issues I could foresee happening. I am hoping that FreeSpace is going to be a true FreeSpeech space but also a virtual place to communicate freely with like minded people.

I downloaded FreeSpaceSocial and made an account just to see what it was like, then realized that it shares your location, and I could not find a way to turn that setting off. I then looked to erase my account altogether and could not find a way to do that either. I emailed their customer support email (which is the only way to contact them) more than 5 times in the past 2 months and I still have not heard back from them.

Hopefully the scene doesn’t change over either way too much. It’s a centralized version of Parler and Facebook. A breath of fresh air for me personally. Looking forward to see where it goes from here. 🤘🏼

I was so excited about FreeSpace because I hate Facebook and their censoring everything. I joined FreeSpace but there are a couple major issues:

First off, within 3 days, I was hacked and posts started appearing that I didn’t post on my profile.

Change password feature doesn’t work because email doesn’t send.

And I don’t know why, but it won’t let me delete my account?!

Need updates fast. I really want FreeSpaceSocial to be great!

For a beta app this is amazing. So many new concepts and fresh thinking. Can’t wait to see what this becomes!

Once you pick a photo they want you to take a Avatar from their collection and if you don’t it won’t proceed- EVER
Also if this is supposed to compete with Clubhouse, it totally misses the point.
People I know that use Clubhouse it is because users are not hiding and booted for offensive behavior.
This is why copycats are poor versions.
I can’t believe Jason Calacanis invested in this!!!

Loved using it for one day. Hate the fact that now it won’t open it up and I can’t get rid of it and it’s useless at this point. Kind of disappointing…

FreeSpaceSocial is a great alternative for Facebook and Twitter. Very user frequently.

I have tried to install on my iPad and iPhone however each time I fill in first and last name, I have tried to include a photo and avatar and neither are accepted. Cannot get past the initial screen. Any suggestions? I seriously want to use FreeSpaceSocial.

I am not able to go any further than being able to type in my name and when I click next it erases my name and I have to start over.

FreeSpace is probably one of the most important apps to be launched. Positivity, freedom, connection. It really is a tremendous platform that you can be proud to be part of.

After seeing Jaco talk about this on The News and Why it Matters, I was excited to get away from Facebook and start using this. I waited three weeks for it to become available only to find out he hates Ukraine.

The country code isn’t available when signing up. Not cool.
