I like the concept of matching people using the mbti personality types, big fan. However there are a few challenges on UrMyType .
1. After I uploaded the first photo as my profile picture I haven’t been able to change it. I tried about ten times but nothing so please look at that.
2. Sometimes I can mistakenly dislike a person so I would want to go back. There is no back button and I think for me personally I would like that.
3. I received a text on UrMyType and didn’t get a notification for that however I have my notifications turned on for UrMyType .
4. I know UrMyType is fairly new but the messaging could be improved a bit. No stickers or anything to improve conversation

Im writing UrMyType to warn people. UrMyType is not used by a lot of people in America. I’m American and was searching for people in America to be friends with because they are in closer proximity than someone in Australia or Greece. I’m okay with a international friend but one in my country is more convenient. I was only looking for friendship mainly with women but men would be ok. I would match with a female and all they would say is “hi” and that’s the last I’ll hear from them. For two and a half weeks I talked with men. I ran into a few odd balls. One dude was not mentally stable at all and said dark things that you would find on the dark web. My personality type that I attract are extroverts. For some reason I kept getting liked by a bunch of introverts that aren’t even my personality type, and only a handful of extroverts. I did have matches with the extroverts that I liked but I rather just have them . I like introverts but they are difficult to get to know in the cyber world. So the system should have a way that says I get to only allow a certain personality type that matches me only.

Devs are nice and very responsive. Once even fixed a bug quickly after I spotted one. Impressive. Used to have reverse dislikes. That stopped. Biggest issue is that there is little to no American users and it seems the first big wave of people came on to do the personality test and left. Folks are just too far away and the introverted men are just not into it. Again I am an introvert myself but I have learned to come out of my shell. It’s frustrating I have to do all the talking and frankly it’s not worth my time. I don’t expect people to be instant friends with me or have a life long friendship. But it seems many have this great enthusiasm at first and are easy to talk to. But then distance comes up or the convo just fades due to them being reserved. It’s tiresome and I feel UrMyType isn’t worth it for me. Hate having promises made only for people to flake away. No more. I have my close friends and done searching for others on these apps where they don’t. Again this is my personal experience and yours may be a better one. But it’s just too difficult being friends with someone online these days. Esp when communication isn’t even close to being a reasonable two way street.

I’m going to be very honest with you all, it’s not that great. Not enough people use it. Sure it cool to be able to meet anyone globally off UrMyType but there are a lot of fake profiles, as well as profiles that don’t have pictures. It should be mandatory to have a photo of an actual person. And I think they need to add a preference button or something. I’m not into Asian or Indian guys, UrMyType is full of them and I just want to look at people that I’m attracted to bottom line, sue me if that sounds racist but it’s a preference.

Not a lot of people are on it but I have this feeling that it will grow into something huge. I have always said I wanted an MBTI dating app. I feel like it would skip a lot of guessing games while getting to know someone. If this company went public, i’d invest in it. I hope people catch on.

interesting way to meet people on personality types. but so far it seems kinda empty. I already went through everyone an it was on global distance. so I guess not many people are using UrMyType . an I don’t like that I cant add multiple profile pics. UrMyType is really missing some sort of flare, but it could be rly cool with good updates an more people

As the title states, I think UrMyType is worth downloading just for the memes. Other dating apps should really consider adding such an…introverted way of interacting besides just…making contact. It can start a dialogue, which is kind the point, no? Be that as it may, with contact in mind, there should be a better notification system. Comments are rare at this point, but even if you do, the notifications just take you back to UrMyType . No idea what it’s taking me back there for, it could be a ❤️, it could be a response to a meme or comment, who knows. There should be better notifications for chat, as well. Overall, I think UrMyType is worth it just for the meme wall. There are not many realistic options for dating, as of yet, but the connection is there and it’s free!! You get the chance to talk and meet with people all over the world and share mutual humor. I like the incorporation of the personalities. Cognitive functions = Communication. I think this pearl needs some polishing, but there is promise. Wow, I never leave reviews, yet here is my thesis. I hope it’s helpful lol.

Still working on delivery, though. I’d like to see a filter for the “Here For” answers, so I’m not spending half my time filtering them myself.

Fellas, the catfishes are already here. Beware of anyone urging you to move to a different platform. Facebook has a money transfer module, UrMyType doesn’t. If they can’t keep it real on UrMyType that found you, move on. I’m sure there are other methods being employed. I hope the admins are diligent about removing offenders.

The people are great. But for some reason it gets super laggy and then when you get on UrMyType it goes completely white. Don’t know why. I tried exiting out and getting back in. Turning my phone off and on. And even deleted UrMyType and installed it again. And it was working for a few minutes and then boom. Back to the white screen:/ great app. Just super laggy and needs repair or update or something idk. Maybe it’s my phone..

It’s good, you’ll actually get matches, but UrMyType glitches and its really only introverted men, so if that’s what your looking for then you’re in luck, if you’re looking for women there’s like 2 on the whole app. The new update also made UrMyType boarder line unusable, can’t access the matches, it crashes when you try to read their bios and it deleted all my old messages from 3 months ago. it’s definitely better than tinder or hinge or any of those and if you are looking for men this is totally for you, but after 4 months of using it, I’ve decided it’s not for me.

Overall I nice app. However, because there are very few users, you only see people 5,000 miles away for example. When I set my standards to people in my city, potential matches goes to zero

I really enjoy UrMyType , but I think it could be organized better. It would also be cool to have the capability to show multiple pictures in your profile. I’ve also noticed some glitches during the chat area where l couldn’t see all of the conversations at once.

It’s an amazing idea, and they’re constantly adding new stuff all the time. I love it! I have one issue...they keep releasing updates that add features for messaging and whatnot, yet they have yet to add basic stuff like having multiple profile pictures. It’s starting to get annoying, as I love to show off to people the different styles I have, yet they can only see one side of me. Why update more complex parts of the basics aren’t even done?

This is a very interesting and nuanced way to connect people, specifically by matching people based on MBTI personality types. This could lead to more meaningful connections backed by scientific evidence.

Hopefully more users come along; there are very few in my area, but I’m cool with connecting with people anywhere just to chat.

I really hope this grows into something big and widespread, as not only can people connect, but they can potentially be educated on what their cognitive and behavioral functions and mannerisms are and how they can be compatible (and incompatible) with others.

One feature that could be interesting is a selective group chat option; it’d be a great way to connect multiple people together from different countries and build networking communities, since many users seem to be scattered around the globe.

I don't leave many reviews, but I have to say something to my fellow introverts. UrMyType is what you've been looking for. You're connected to a wide range of people all over the world that understand you. It's a beautiful thing. When it comes to the technical parts of UrMyType , it's not even something I worry about. It's not significant enough to complain when obviously, UrMyType is new.

For a personality-oriented app still basic in its features, UrMyType has been fun and comfortable to use. The navigation is straightforward and the layout is very pleasant; both of which have quelled some of my skepticism on carrying out the concept of an MBTI-dating app. One thing of note: With the emphasis on personality & compatibility, a filter option - à la smoking/drugs/religion - is a reasonable next addition even if still in beta. I appreciate the transparency and dedication apparent so far, and for now I’ll leave five stars.

UrMyType is pretty simple in design, mostly intuitive and you can tell the developers are taking feedback seriously to improve it. It doesn’t seem to have much traction as I can’t get many results within the greatest distance from myself before it goes global (can’t remember the distance). I think the distance could be increased slightly before switching to global, but I think this wouldn’t be an issue with more users. But I love this idea, I LOVE it. I think it’s cool to keep minors separate, not that they don’t deserve a similar app but I definitely enjoy the space more 18+.

UrMyType doesnt work has bugs. if youre already on the other popular dating apps, you should stay there and continue your subscription and continue hooking up with whoever and whatever it is you do with them, there. i just think that if UrMyType works for a few then let it work for them because once the majority arrives, then its all over the ones who are actually looking for “real” connections. i dont think paying is a dignified way to find people unless youre in the private investigating field and looking for someone. so if youre already “hooking up” somewhere else, UrMyType isnt for you, dont change your status quo! Other than that, if youre serious about finding someone, with UrMyType, you’ll have a 99% chance of finding someone who is your type. sigurado ak.

I started using UrMyType a while back when it was still in its development stages because the concept of matching people based of MBTI just sounded so cool. Well, I used UrMyType for about a week, and I matched with someone who lives only a miles away from me! We really hit it off, and talked through UrMyType for about another week. We seemed to really get along through text, so we decided to go on a date. I’m so happy to say that we’ve been dating for about 4 months now, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m an INFP and he’s an ENFJ, so we compliment each other perfectly. We have so much fun being goofy and emotional, and it’s definitely an interesting story whenever people ask how we met! UrMyType has improved even more since I last used it, so I really recommend it if you’re looking for a serious relationship/friendship!

UrMyType is amazing! I love that it’s free so you don’t run into annoying obstacles! You can see everyone who’s liked you and matched with you. This is the way all friendship and dating apps should be.

I’ve been on it for a month and all the people I’ve talked to want to have genuine conversations. It’s a great way to make new connections and friendships. You can meet people from other countries, and as someone who is not subject to diversity in their average life but wishes they were, this is excellent. I’ve fangirled to my sisters and friends about UrMyType, that’s how much I like and appreciate it. Some of them joined it and they love it as well!

I really enjoy how UrMyType takes your own preferences into consideration when finding people for you to match with. If you set your distance to 200 miles, it won’t show your profile to people outside that boundary. This means if you are a 20 year old interested in talking to other 20-somethings and not getting hit up by men in their 30s, as long as your preferred age range is set this will not happen to you!

Only note for improvement is that I wish text would stay in the box if you leave the chat, because sometimes I want to reference something before sending a message but what I’ve typed is gone when I come back.

UrMyType has potential, but it’s not that great. I can only match with people overseas when I know for a fact there are people closer to me. It also doesn’t show you which messages are new which is an absolute pain. Also, why only one profile picture? That’s just increasing the likelihood of catfishes. There’s better dating apps out there.

everything is great, only things are that UrMyType doesn’t allow me to upload photo from my gallery, when I try, UrMyType crashes on me...

Extremely rude customer service. Mr Firas Abdallah wrote me extremely disrespectful and rude email after I complained about bugs in the app. If you are a girl and you don't reply to guts they will report you and everytime your account gets blocked for a day or longer. Don't waste your time for this app!
