This used to be an amazing app. Now the ads are so often and impossible to get rid of long enough to use IAmChristian . I also paid the money to get rid of ads and they are still there.

I have recorded playlists, but it won’t play them. I paid for the premium and I’m very disappointed that it’s not working to play my playlists. Also, IAmChristian I find to not be as user friendly and understandable as it should be. Please help! I will need to seek a refund if it continues to not work properly.

I downloaded IAmChristian to build my self confidence. I selected affirmations to add to my playlist, but it would not let me record the affirmation. It said no mic authorized. I went to my settings, but there was no option to turn on the microphone or to select to allow access.

I’m so disappointed i wanted to like IAmChristian so bad and i spent $15 on it, but that was a waste of money!! i still get ads, IAmChristian randomly closes, and it has deleted many of journal entries💔 i have emailed them about this and got nothing in response. You are better off using the notes app.

Free to download, great, went through the steps to setting up notifications and things (gives you the option to skip..great). But then it came down to choose a subscription and I’m like I can’t deal with ADs…but it doesn’t offer you to continue unless you pay. Which is pointless to be a free app. Free to download, pay to use. I’m blown away…

I understand the need for ads in a free version of an app. However, you can barely function in IAmChristian because of the constant ads. Often two will play within about 15 seconds. Then there will be a few minutes you can do things, then more ads. They pop up when you're right in the middle of writing or making changes. I won't even try to journal with that kind of constant interruption. Perhaps banner ads that stay, rather than full pop-ups? Or pop-ups only when the user isn't actively typing? I'm sure Premium is wonderful - and I was planning to upgrade - but I can't get a good feel for how useful it is with all the ads stopping me constantly. Also, the ads are not at all in line with the positive, Godly mindset IAmChristian is supposed to help us cultivate. Looked like I'll be using a different app and just writing my own Christian Affirmations. Too bad, I really wanted to love this.

I just got IAmChristian and had so many ads I didn’t have enough time to make the choice to upgrade to premium… which I did, just to stop being bombarded with ads. Horrible first impressions, but I will update my experience of the actual app later.

I was so excited to find IAmChristian. I purchased the lifetime subscription and recorded many scriptures. Then, one day everything I recorded just disappeared. Well not entirely. They seem to be there, but each and every one had errors and none would play. So…I did it again. I recorded a bunch of scriptures and passages, only to discover the same thing occurred. I am not sure if it is because of updates or what. But this error occurs even when I restore my backup. Completely frustrating. I wasted my money and my time. It would have been a great asset to my endeavor to write the Father’s Words in my heart and mind.

I’ve attempted to record my personal affirmations, but it’s not allowing me to do it. My microphone settings is on. Not sure why this is happening but it’s a little disappointing. I deleted app, then in redownloaded it. It is still not recording. Otherwise, I would have given IAmChristian 5 stars.

The affirmations are wonderful! I am only able to record 7 affirmations dur to not having premium. I am unable to pay for premium and cannot seem to get around it. There’s an error message that says: store connection interrupted. Please try again!

I have deleted IAmChristian , refreshed my settings, downloaded it again and still get the same error message. Please help!

Would be 5 stars but the ads get annoying.. but I also understand why they need them I guess haha! But there’s sooo many of them.

I want to finish with positives so I’m going to start with what needs improving.
I’m surprised with app doesn’t offer widgets because that is one of the main functionalities people enjoy when using a motivation or affirmation app. To see a different quote on your home screen. Another thing many would appreciate would be making your own theme. I’m not really digging the whole pink thing at all…
I would probably suggest taking a look at IAmChristian called Motivation. They allow you to chose your own background, font, and color. Other than these, it’s only minor things that I personally don’t believe matter much to change.
Now for the positives, I really appreciate someone finally made an app that has actual affirmations inspired by the Bible. All other apps that claim that are just motivation apps, they don’t understand the distinction between the two. Huge points for that. Another thing would be that you can add your own affirmations as well. Although it would be nice if it would add to the public (maybe it would have to get screened and approved if that were allowed..so may or may not be a good idea). I also like that you can create an account, that way you don’t lose any of your written affirmations if you reinstall. Having a Bible on here is a really great idea! I like that as well. The journal I personally don’t like having on a phone, but that’s probably just me.
Overall, pretty good for a relatively new app!

I really like IAmChristian but it will not allow me to purchase the premium version which is very aggravating. Please fix this. It’s a wonderful app. Thank you.

I was struggling with depression and just the mundane things of life. I downloaded IAmChristian and so far it’s helped tremendously. It’s easy to look up verses, affirmations and journaling ideas. I did purchase the lifetime membership because it was not as good without it

This is a great App!
It has everything I had been looking for from affirmations, bible verses and a secure journal. I have a busy schedule and this can be fast and easy if I don’t have a lot of time. The one time fee is definitely worth it. Thank You ❤️

IAmChristian helped remind me of some of things I need to focus on daily and insistently to stay in a good mindset towards God and my faith. I wish the playlists were easier to use but overall this a great resource

Suggested by my therapist and wow! Amazing features and to have my own voice recorded speaking God’s truth over myself. Challenging negative thoughts and taking them captive?! Gets no better. Thank you for an amazing tool.

I love IAmChristian but it doesn’t want to play all the time! I press play it doesn’t play it discourages me

Love the affirmations. It would be even better if IAmChristian would allow a morning notification of a new affirmation in text form every morning to pop up so that you don’t have to go into IAmChristian to retrieve a daily one. Other than that I love the affirmations and that they are the word of God!

I love IAmChristian and very much recommend it it’s so inspiring!!!
