Amazing app! I’m in my second quarter of studying Chinese and it’s been such a help when we’re assigned new vocab to deconstruct the characters through the radicals and components. Wish there were a traditional version too!
I’ve been learning Chinese on Duolingo for a few months now, and was looking for more supplemental study material. Wen looks perfect for helping demystify hanzi characters so they aren’t just strokes and shapes on the page. The first example was rén 人 (person),and it explained that it represents a sideview standing person , then showed how it exists in a modified form inside ní 你 (you). The connections were made, I had my first aha, and I was inspired to write this review. I can’t wait to learn more!
Wen is incredible. I was trying to compile a list of common components from a bunch of different websites- this has exactly what I wanted plus a ton more stuff, presented very elegantly. Thanks to the developer :)
