So basically it’s a good app I really like it but the thing is the maps kinda look ugly when you can get rid of the border say Germany and Poland were combined the border between Germany and Poland would still be there but there’s a feature to get rid of all borders but then the german Poland union doesn’t have a border with others like France, Belgium, Denmark etc another thing is that I wanna make custom borders however sadly you can but mabye that’s my cause say Poland and Russia invade Belarus but they can’t split it in half, last thing is just that you can’t remove a country’s name so if Germany took Poland you can’t get rid of the word Poland it’s really either get rid of all the names or keep all the names but remember this is just my opinion

I’ve been using MapChartApp for the better half of two years now and it’s been very useful to me, on most occasions. I make historical maps for groups on certain video games for in-game currency, but despite the large variety of maps available, some maps remain incomplete. For instance, some of the European maps provide an extremely detailed example of Europe, displaying almost every province from every nation, but then in locations like Switzerland, Russia, Finland, Serbia, Greece, etc, there won’t be any provinces, making it impossible to make definite borders in those areas. To pile onto this, the developers are making new maps instead of improving the old ones. I just wish they would improve on the already existing maps, then I would for sure write a much better rating and give it 5 Stars.

The map overall is great. It allows you to easily manage everything, as best you can expect on mobile. However, exporting the map as an image proves to be a lackluster feature for such an advanced tool. I would really love an option to export the entire map using a preformatted full view, rather than trying to make our own view each time. On a phone screen it can be very difficult if not impossible to get the map in a position where it won’t be too small to read, and still have the legend not overlap anything. Different map projections would also be quite cool, but not necessary.

Chananiah Price here and I love the US county map! I don’t call the territories of the USA “legitimately belonging to the USA.” Just one thing. You should add Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba to the World map with microstates. This the ULTIMATE MAPMAKING APP OF ULTIMATE DESTINY!!!! In the words of Lemon Demon, That is. Edit: The US County map, when you zoom in, has the borders all wonky, so fix that, and add Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, US Minor Outlying Islands, Bajo Nuevo Bank, and Serranilla Bank. Oh, and have an option on the US County map to list Guam’s villages as county-equivalents. And also, add an option where you can single out a single county in the US Counties map.

Hey guys! So I like MapChartApp, and I would like to suggest a feature and also a minor change you need to make. So the feature I would like to see is an option to color a map in a projection like dymaxion, which is a map projection where every country is rendered to scale with each other and there is no or minimal distortion. I like comparing country sizes and stuff for fun, so being able to color a map like this would be a nice addition.
The mistake you need to fix is that in the “world map-cold war” map type, where you can move the slider to difernt years, when it is set to 1991, the Soviet Union is replaced with the countries it dissolved into, but the Soviet Union dissolved at the very very end of 1991 (December 16th-26th), so I think it would be more accurate to make this happen when it its set to 1992 instead of 1991. I know that late December 1991 is still technically 1991, but it’s so close to the end of the year, it just doesn’t feel right to me. So please make this change if you can. It’s a minor change, but it would be nice.
If you do either, or even both, of these things, that would make me upgrade my review from 4 to a full 5 stars because other than these two things, it is a great app and you guys are doing a great job!

I’ve used the website for some time and I was glad to see a mobile version become available. The main thing that needs to be added is the drop-down list of nations to color an entire country at once. An issue I noticed was that when the borders are turned off, there’s still faint white lines where the borders used to be. I’ll be glad to see MapChartApp continue to improve over time.

TBH,my actual rating 3 and a half stars, but it won’t let me do that. MapChartApp is pretty laggy and even though it’s probably better on other modes,I spend lots of time on world subdivisions, and it’s hard to click on very small subdivisions on mobile. Still, the computer version is a solid 5 stars. I don’t if this is on person or an entire team, but keep up the good work. Also, mixing modes and maps like world subdivisions and world advanced would be a godsend, but it’s the devs app,so it’s up to them.

I use this a lot for making alt history maps, but something I hate is the fact that Alsace-Lorraine is too big in Europe detailed. If I want to change it so that Germany has Alsace loraine I have to use Europe nuts 3m which means Kaliningrad is part of Russia, so i can’t have Germany control Kaliningrad without controlling all of Russia. So please fix that. Also could you add a detailed map of Europe/ Africa / Middle East with alantropa and an option to either have it normal or completely drained. But other than that, MapChartApp is great.

MapChartApp is great, it can be used for many reasons from charting population to creating alternate history maps. The only things I would want changed is a feature that allows to see big cities and also the option to put names on more of the nations in other time periods as well as a full map of WW2 that’s maybe like the Cold War map where it progress over time. I feel like some of these features are too big but if they can be done I would love to see it.

MapChartApp is the best country app I’ve ever used. For those like me who like to make there own country’s or empires, this is MapChartApp for you! This is one of my favorite games of all. But even though I think it the best, there are some stuff that I would like to change
1: add more maps. There are many maps to chose from but there should be Mexican-American War, British empire, Spanish empire, and Na*i Germany.
2: let us make flags. I like to make my own country’s AND flags. You should add a mode where people can make flags for they new country’s.
3: let us see country’s in the state map. When I do the made that has the states, I always get confused on what state belongs in like, Russia or India. I know there is a identifier, but add thicker borders to the country’s on the state map.

MapChartApp is great, I have enjoyed using it for the past year or two, just some suggestions:
1. With the new scripts update around, it would be great to also have where colors would fight each other for dominance, then, when one color wins, a pop up would show saying: [____] Wins!, Of course, you don’t have to do this, but it would be a great option for people who are fans of history or wars or whatnot.
2: Higher color limit: for the amount of countries, provinces and whatnot, add the color limit for that amount of things in the region. This would make map filling easier & faster to do.
These are some suggestions maybe for a future update or whatnot.

I’ve been using Mapchart for nearly two years now and I love it so much! I’m very happy to see a mobile version. I didn’t even hesitate to buy the premium version, I’m glad to support the developer of one of my favorite websites. I use Mapchart a lot because I have several anxiety disorders, and organizing data + creating maps is one of the things that really helps me out.
Not all the features from the website are in MapChartApp right now (can’t split the USA/Canada/UK like you can on the site, can’t get rid of labels). But I’m sure that’s just because MapChartApp is new, I hope to see those features in the future :)
by Jose Afanador Hernandez
So I love this but here’s some suggestions 1. Can you add a feature where we can make our own countries and names for it and create maps like creating borders ok 2. Can you add Map flags like add a feature to enable a map flag option which turns everything into map flags when you color all the countries a map with the flag inside will be shown ok 3. Can you add guides to like subdivisions and War games maps bc Like if we’re trying to make a historical country you could add a guide on how to make one 4. There’s no suggestion in number 4 bc this game is AWESOME it’s like an iOS version of World provinces but better

MapChartApp is just wonderful! It’s full of features and its almost as good as the website! Switching between tools while editing is a bit cumbersome, but I do know that is a limitation of the platform. I have noticed that divisions completely surrounded by another division sometimes gets colored with the larger division. I understand that this is a bug. That’s fine with me. From my understanding this is made all by one person, which is really impressive! I love using the subdivision maps and I would love to see a NUTS-3 Kind of map extended to the rest of Europe and other continents. Thank you for this great app and website and I hope it will be improved for years to come.
by UkraineLover449
Okay, that last pun was a little bad, let’s actually talk about MapChartApp . Gotta make a map? Just use this! I love all the maps, and I love the Ukraine even more. Can you add an Age of Civilizations 2 one? I would like to make a map on this like Age of Civilizations 2, but not actually use Age of Civilizations 2. I know it’s technically called Age of History 2 on this, because I’m not using a computer. Oh yeah. Can you add Age of Civilizations 2? I would appreciate it, get to work, Minas. Edit: Why would you add HoI4 provinces on the website and not on MapChartApp ? Please add HoI4 provinces on MapChartApp so tapping them will be easier.

This map is one of the best apps I’ve every seen. There’s really nothing like it. You can create almost anything while using MapChartApp. But I have a few suggestions for idea’s for maps. So I was thinking you could add a rural municipality map for Canada. Because I was thinking if you guys did it for Brazil, you could do it for Canada. And you guys could make premium only maps. It would be another reason to get premium. And this next one is interesting. What if you could make your own map? I mean make the borders and everything. I don’t know how it would work but it would be very cool. And the last thing is if you could add the province borders in the Canada-Census Divisions map, that would be great. But anyways those were some of my suggestions. Again one of the best apps I’ve ever seen.
by ThePlayerOverThere
MapChartApp is great, but there’s one problem if your using the free version once you’ve run out of map saves, you can’t delete one of the map saves while your making a map, so if your making a map want to save it but you have to delete one of the saves, but you can’t delete one of the saves while making a map. So you have to come out of making a map, but you can’t do that either, because that removes your progress on the map. So you have to save it, but you can’t save it because you don’t have any saves left, so you have to come out of making a map but you can’t becau- you get the point.
Just fix this problem and 5 stars!
by Raa833
MapChartApp so far is one of my favorites! I would add a few suggestions here but when i was trying to save, it wouldn’t let me it just made some files. I have saved about 7 and i can’t open them for some reason. Here are the suggestions, #1, You could add to draw borders so let’s say i pick Mexico map and i chose Baja California and i drew a little border to Baja california de la sur, and baja california takes a little from Baja california de la sur.
#2, you could add custom leaders or normal leaders and that also includes flags. Using Custom flags, Normal flags, Custom Leaders, or normal leaders, You could also add flags to the past like for example, I want to chose scandinavia flag and add it to Norway, or use Central american flag and add it to Guatemala.
Overall Good app and hope to keep doing great!

MapChartApp is almost perfect the interface is pretty good the selection of maps is quite good I wish there were more though and or a feature that makes a border between two provinces or states with different color as a separate option for alt his so if a nation is in a sphere of influence or there’s too many similar colors or you just want to define the border between them better overall for free MapChartApp is amazing and is a must get for anyone who likes alt his, geography, maps or just painting with provinces MapChartApp is a go to
by Chinasack
Got to say, I love this, there is just endless possibilities that you could do and there are so many things you could use it for, whether it’d be projects, groups, or just for yourself. I enjoy the many different settings and customizations that you could add to make it fit for your taste and how well it was made.
Although one suggestion, possibly add the ability to customize borders a little more detailed? For example, let’s say I select World Map 1938, Yugoslavia invaded a little piece of Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria. Now yes, Yugoslavia is screwed 😅, but in terms of borders, I can only color the entire country. Also same thing if the country captures smaller than the actual province itself (because of war, revolt, etc.)
Other than that I still think that MapChartApp is amazing and that the creator is doing a nice job!
by Tanjiroslay
It’s amazing game, but there is two problems. The first one I wanted to do world war simulator. But the countries we’re not colored both the advance and simple world map, so I gave up on that then I wanted to do a continent world war simulator but then, I couldn’t do that, because once I clicked a country, you were pink, the country as a whole there was no way to paint a small portion of it like you couldn’t grab a paintbrush, and then paint your own lines and stuff, so it was impossible, but otherwise great game!

This is my favorite map app to use I’ve been using the online one but it stopped working for so I looked it up on App Store to see if I can find a good one and I found this I was so happy when I found out I can save the maps, I love MapChartApp but I wish they had a fill that fills a country I know they have one but I don’t want to scroll down a list all the time to find all the country’s a fill that we can use that isn’t a list and you just tap the country will be Amazing.

One when I clicked the Russia map it said Crimea but I didn’t see crimea map and two why isn’t the russian occupied lands part of russia bc I don’t get it but everything besides that it’s perfect but why does America historical map not have the thirteen colonies but still MapChartApp is perfect it feels like world provinces but on iOS like it’s awesome
But another mistake is that when I clicked americas map it didn’t say show America states even tho on the world map it shows show American states and split uk and the split uk is on Europe also

This is a great app but I have a few suggestions for new maps. First it would be cool if you could add the prefecture map for China and raion map for Russia just like how you have the county map for the USA, second in the Oceania map it would be nice if you could include west Papua since it’s in Oceania, and third for the world map focused on the Pacific to have a subdivision map. These are just suggestions but I think they would be nice additions.
by Henry F For Fun
please add a part that colors in every nation a color Radom in things like “war zone” “sub civilizations” a flag update would also be nice or a 1444 map (I know that would be hard but people done it) that’s all nothing else this is the best game EVER [I’m not try to be critical :) ] also if you add a flag update can it edited to and can you add provinces of the German empire or Providences of Prussia or Russia. That’s all love your game (Loading not working for hearts of iron iv)

I love MapChartApp. It allows me to make alternate history and other things. However, one thing I would add would be to have the ability to rename places and split places (by drawing a line where you want to split it). This would allow for a lot more room on making alternate history maps. Even the ability to group maps together and make videos from them. Sort of like stop motion, but with maps so you can show the progression of the timeline.

MapChartApp is by far one of my favorite apps on my phone it is very interactive and fun I love making fake wars and stuff. While I have encountered a couple of bugs along they way the dev fixed them very swiftly. Just some personal suggestions maybe add a map from the 1750s with the British empire because that would be fun and maybe later in the future where you can customize country’s borders and make them different shapes and sizes. Thanks for such a great app

MapChartApp is great. I love the all the different maps you can make, and it’s exciting to see how often the developer of this software updates it often, I’m always excited to see the new updates. I have a photo album of maps made with this, and it currently numbers at 502 maps. I also love the historical mapchart feature, and am excited for an authentic WWII map setting, it never disappoints. Overall, I definitely recommend this to people who are huge geography nerds like me!

I love MapChartApp. I can spend hours creating maps of alternate worlds, but I have one specific complaint. Some of the maps have sections where the borders don’t properly match up, making it seem like there are holes in the map. The effect is especially noticeable on the World Subdivisions map in places like Lebanon, Latvia, and Bosnia. It’s a small thing, but it can be really annoying. But that is my only complaint. Everything else is close to perfect.
