Struggling to keep up with the new age where money is the only thing that matters.
QuitSmokingGradually is a clock. Takes the number of cigarettes you smoke a day. Divides that by 24 or 16 and gives you stopwatch. Has no alarm to let you know when it’s time to smoke.
Then sadly after an effort to save a life. It demands a $.
I just come from a different age where all of this struggle was helped. And people were just good to be around.
Your generation is lost.
It would be possible to make it free actually.
It’s working well BUT now you want me to pay?? There is nothing I found about this being a trial offer!!
Speak the truth!!!
This is a great app! I literally downloaded every app in the store trying to find one with a timer. I did the free 1 week trial and smoked less than normal. Wasn’t sure about paying for it so went looking for another and ended up back here and paying.
My only issues are I wish we could choose the amount of time we want to quit (Personally I wanted to quit in 1.5 months) and my second issue is I would love a timer that actually notifies my phone with a sound. I feel like a week for each phase may be too long, maybe an option to move to the next phase halfway through the week? Otherwise great app!
I am trying to quit smoking and downloaded about 10 apps the other day. Most want more money than I can afford and the smallest trial period or features possible. It is a simple app without a ton of bells and whistles (no meditations, no games, no motivational quotes), but I can get those from other free apps.
I am only on level 1 with QuitSmokingGradually, so no idea how much it will cost later. However, this one (so far) is the easiest to use, and has a taper/reduction option (so few do!).
Only taking off one star because there is no ‘sleep’ or ‘pause’ button. I don’t want to count skipped cigarettes because I was sleeping (can’t really give myself a pat on the back for those). Also because I wake up every morning to a reminder to log my cigarettes (I am doing great with logging them in).
Time will tell if this works, but so far it’s the best app I have found (for those that need a little extra help).
I wish it was available in Apple Watch!!!
Otherwise, love it!!
I’ve been smoking for most of my life and have tried every method in the book to quit. This is the only method that has successfully gotten me to cut back and I am confident that I will be able to quit using this method because it is so gradual - I have time to develop healthy coping mechanisms as I wean off. I am on phase 5 and already notice a huge difference in my quality of life.
My one criticism is the same as others: I wish it let you set your sleep schedule! I frequently go to bed after midnight so I would love to be able to set the count to restart for the day when my alarm goes off in the morning. I also wish it would let you set the number of hours you usually sleep. I sleep about 6 hours per night so I have to remember to wait for a certain amount of time after the notification goes off, and calculate how much time that is every phase, so I don’t go over. I paid a lot for QuitSmokingGradually so I am slightly disappointed that these features aren’t available, thus the 4-star rating.
I accidentally deleted his app. It’s a free app with option to subscribe but it wont let me reinstall because my payment card is NSF. It wont let me start from scratch to reinstall.
QuitSmokingGradually works great! I finished my free trial at day 2 of phase 1. Which is my 2nd week day 2 I believe. My memory isn’t great and I had to delete QuitSmokingGradually cuz I can’t afford QuitSmokingGradually . The lowest was 9.99 and the cigs I smoke aren’t even that much. Where it uses the cut down method, if I quit and used the money on QuitSmokingGradually , well then I wouldn’t need QuitSmokingGradually lol However QuitSmokingGradually is fantastic for anyone who can pay for QuitSmokingGradually after free trial! It helped me make a pack of cigs last 2 days! Great app! Sad to see it go but since I know the method of how it works I can just use my timer and stuff and do it myself.
I like how gentle QuitSmokingGradually is when it comes to stopping
I love QuitSmokingGradually.
I have smoked for 48 years and tried to quit many times this method is working for me.
It weens you off the habit of reaching for a cigarette, holding cigarette and smoking a cigarette
I am only at phase 4 but I'm going longer than QuitSmokingGradually suggests
QuitSmokingGradually was great in helping me quit smoking. I highly recommend it. I cut down enough where I felt like stopping completely. 3 weeks smoke free as of this writing.
I’ve tried many quit or reduce smoking programs & hands down this one is the best. I will definitely purchase the lifetime package! Thanks team for making it easier to reduce my smoking easier! Staci
Great !!slowly reducing without being lectures, having to play a dumb games,or even being brow beatings like other apps haha you’ll over time start to push off smoking subconsciously and eventually start to challenge yourself to hold off.. good luck
Love the program. Much more comprehensive than similar apps. One feature I would love to see is the ability to change sleep schedules. I bartend and regular end my day after midnight and the cigarettes I smoke go to the next day, throwing off my count.
Easy to use app that allows me to keep count of my cigarettes. Helps you develop the habit of checking the count down and wait a bit more every day before you light your next cigarette. I haven’t quit yet bit reduced the number of cigarettes
I’m at the end of my first week and I’m happy so far. At first I thought it was too easy but after a couple of super stressful life events, QuitSmokingGradually has shown me how easy it would be for me to smoke way more than my usual. I do expect to complete the program and stop smoking and have started recommending it to others 🙂
QuitSmokingGradually has been a tremendous help to me in my 6th attempt to quit smoking! I had tried gum, patches, hypnosis, using my phone to time my cigarettes, keeping a diary and then the patch again. I would cut down for awhile, but, gradually I would return to my pack and a half habit. I did go to a lower nicotine level cigarette, moving from Newport Menthols to Pyramid Lights, but I still kept smoking just as often.
Then, I tried Alive. I love the way it assesses your level of smoking and what time of day you smoke the most. Then, I started out with “permission” to cut back just 2%. In phase 2, I am cutting back at least 17%! I have noticed that, since I have a good reason AND a strong desire to quit, in phase 1, I cut back much more than suggested. Phase 2, found me smoking as often as I could, and even using another feature: having the option of smoking early if you must, and then getting right back on schedule again. After a few days, I had adjusted, and now I am able to stick to the schedule again!
The program tracks and displays both the number of cigarettes you haven’t smoked compared to the number you would have smoked if you hadn’t begun the program and how much money you’ve saved. Put it all together and you have a great motivating app and a really great way to quit smoking, if you are want to quit, even a little bit!
It really WORKS!
I guess you noticed that I haven’t completed the whole program, but I’m POSITIVE that I will. If not, I’ll write a second review and let you know what happened, but I doubt you will see that happen!
Try it! I’m using the free version of QuitSmokingGradually , and I’m doing FINE, but there is a paid version if you feel you need more support. If I run into any trouble, I will move to the paid version.
As you know by now, I highly recommend QuitSmokingGradually!!!
