Downloaded TrackLiveFlights to import data from "App in the Air." I chose to start with a 7-day free trial for a weekly subscription. However, when trying to import data, it demands a yearly subscription disguised as a "3-day trial." BEWARE: accepting this "trial" will immediately charge you for a full year. TrackLiveFlights ’s advertised features require unclear, additional subscriptions. Pricing model is confusing and potentially predatory. Cannot recommend due to misleading marketing and subscription tactics. Users should be extremely cautious with TrackLiveFlights.

I had the old version and it did a great job tracking my flights, showing me neat statistics and had a great map feature. I loved it and it was easy to use. The new version has users pay to get all the features, which in my opinion should be granted to all the old users because we are the reason TrackLiveFlights was so successful in the first place. I considered paying because I liked it enough, but $5 a month! That is ridiculous, that is my student Spotify membership. Now with the free version I can’t add flights from historical dates (so if I fly one day and forget to add it, if the next day roles around I no longer can). I also can’t access yearly stats and TrackLiveFlights is much harder to use. The have made the free version an unrealistic “tool” that can hardly do anything. Mileways, by not valuing your loyal users, you have now lost one.
I have used TrackLiveFlights for years, enjoying trips and watching my miles increase. Now that TrackLiveFlights has been updated I am missing map detail, and currently am paying for “premium” with the promise that more features are on their way, but no update yet.
I emailed the developer with a couple bugs that I found, but no response. Honestly just disappointed.
I’ve been using Mileways since late 2018. It’s an awesome app. I just upgraded to 4.0 today, and I am not overly excited about the subscription for information that has been free for so long (maybe a grandfather discount type thing would have been nice for long time customers), but now I am missing a number of international flights that were logged in the previous version.
I’m giving it a 2 star until it’s resolved. Then I will update, because I really like TrackLiveFlights .
