Pocket FM: Audio Series Reviews

Hi, I’m a younger reader who loves and is obsessed with the stories on PocketFM. Not going to lie, the waiting for each episode to update isn’t really a big problem for me, but after a few months something happened. I went into PocketFM like usual and when I tried to click on an episode of an amazing story, it wouldn’t do anything. It would just not un pause, after ten minutes of trying to see what the problem is, I failed. So I deleted PocketFM and got it again to see if it would work but surprisingly, it didn’t. I have been trying to deal with this problem for about a month now and this is me typings this review one month later. In that space of time, I have deleted PocketFM seventeen times and nothing worked. I’m not full on hating on PocketFM because it seems that no one else is having this problem and I also love the stories. If this is a problem with PocketFM then please let me know. If it is just me then I’ll try to fix it myself. Thank you for your time, and I hope you don’t take this review the wrong way.

RIP OFF!!! I bought the membership, PocketFM said it would unlock all the episodes with a vip membership, I was getting about 3 episodes a day with the free version then I bought a $60 a year membership so I could finish the book. I have time to listen to 6-8 episodes a day they’re only 5-10 minutes long. About 2 weeks ago I started getting 1 episode every day to every other day, (average 6 minutes each), I figured it would pick up again, now there’s been NO EPISODES for 6 days & ppl are saying in the comments they ended it. What with no ending??? With no announcement??? I see on the front picture of the novel it no longer says “new episodes daily” so I guess that’s it. Is that how this business is run. I could have saved myself $60 with the free version & still had the same experience…I want a refund…I’ll delete PocketFM it has no use or value. I guess I have to contact Apple to see how to go about getting a refund. I had a hard time giving PocketFM 1 star. If y’all are enjoying PocketFM save your money & keep the free version I was much happier with that.

I downloaded PocketFM to listen to the stories when driving to and from work, cooking or lying in bed trying to sleep. The stories are so nice that I find it very difficult to put down, even at work I put on my ear buds continue to listen and do my work at the same time. But the bad aspect of PocketFM is the stories are halfway done. The first book I listened to is ‘Accidentally Yours’ very interesting but unfortunately it only stopped on 218, this after buying more than enough tokens, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, so i went ahead and got the second book ‘ Billionaire Accidental Bride’ , this one stopped on page 441. This is after paying a whopping $100 for tokens in order to prevent any kind of interruptions but behold I never got my money’s worth. I later got to know that ‘Billionaire accidental bride’ is over a thousand plus pages , this is from another reader. My thing is if you can’t conclude the stories why make people pay, PocketFM is just ripping innocent people off their hard earned money. Am highly disappointed.

the stories are interesting even though they seem amateurish. This is why I gave it two stars instead of one. My problem is it’s pretty much 100$ or more in coins just to listen to one whole story that may not be finished at all. It’s a lot cheaper to just listen to audible or something like that. It’s true that the chapters are free if you want to wait a day or two for it to be unlocked but it doesn’t release them consistently and waiting for ten minutes of content every day isn’t really worth it. It would be better to offer the choice of watching a few ads to unlock content or at least releasing 30 minutes of content to make it worth waiting for. I think this company is just greedy. I saw at one point it offered VIP content that you could pay monthly subscription and listen whenever you want but even that doesn’t look available to do anymore. Don’t waste you time on PocketFM you just end up feeling like a fish on a hook

I been using the free version of PocketFM to listen to the billionaire accidental bride. I was on episode 65 when I decided to make payment to get full access to the story. I tried several times but payment failed. So I decided to download PocketFM on a new device and made payment which went through. I bought 150 coins, in my mind I would chose which episode to use my coins on but no my thought wasn’t so. The system applied my coins from 1st episodes down.
Oh goodness what is this? I can’t believe this how PocketFM is and theirs no way for me to chose what episode to use my coins on. Now what do I do? Because I’ve listen from episode 1 to 65 using the free version. I put in a lot of work to get to episode 65 as I have to wait for it everyday. I think this is not fair and I need a refund of my coins to enable me to use it on episodes I chose to use it on.

I love to listen to the stories and I am okay with the free version. What could be improved would be the notifications and timing. The notifications tell you a certain story is ready to be read when in fact, PocketFM says the story is not ready. It would be great if the reader knew how many hours left until the free episodes are ready or if the free episodes automatically were released at the same time everyday.
Another point is the narrators. Most stories I have listened to start with amazing narration and then are switched to narrators who are clearly not fluent in English or they have an unpleasant voice. For people who are sensitive to these things, it’s actually harmful and damaging to their sensory experience.
The concept of PocketFM is already good. I think these two points would make the ratings go even higher.

I really like PocketFM , but after these latest updates it has stemmed my enthusiasm. I’m a sucker for romantic stories so I was a monthly subscriber, pay 10$ per month and have unlimited access. Now with the update I have to pay for coins and my biggest upset is all the episodes I have listened too are locked back up again and would have to pay a lot of money to get back to where I left off. This doesn’t sit right with me and I’m upset. I hope this can be changed for me and anyone else having similar problems. If the previous story chapters can’t be re-unlocked for myself and others. I don’t see the point in keeping PocketFM . I’m holding out to see if it will change, but losing some faith. Please, please, please, I hope this is fixed!!!

I am disabled and have downloaded PocketFM just recently. A lot of the episodes won’t play properly, show as have been previously viewed, and either won’t load or show zero content. Also, once getting to end of a story, PocketFM has automatically started me at the beginning of a story I have already completed. Shouldn’t PocketFM be able to be able to keep track of my progress. This happens a lot and is extremely frustrating. I have also experienced trouble in picking up where I have left off in a story, as PocketFM has tried to stop me off at the beginning. Developers need to add an easier way to download an entire story to a library with one click.

I am an older reader and totally enjoy the romantic novels. I have not been disappointed. Each one has been as good or better than the next. I have had an issue with a chapter starting and then not moving forward in 2 separate stories. I had to just move on to the next chapter. I deleted and re downloaded PocketFM to no avail. Fortunately the chapters are short enough so as to not effect the storyline but frustrating enough to think you may have missed an important part since chapter by chapter there are twists and turns.

I am a mother of four and listening to these books just bring some relief and some calmness I like reading these books when I fall asleep I like listening to them until I fall asleep and I like bathing and listening to them it’s amazing when my children at school the best thing I do is lay down on the couch bring myself a nice warm blanket and fall asleep this is the best thing that has ever happened to me and not even started going to therapy because of these books you not know how much these books have changed my life

Okay so the story about the accidental bride was actually pretty interesting, so that’s why I’m giving two stars. However, waiting for a new episode is the problem I’m facing. It says “Free tomorrow, Get Pocket VIP to play Now”. So ofc I waited a whole 24 hours, but still wasn’t able to read. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited another day, making it 48 hours. Still not able to unlock. I just want to listen I’m not paying for anything. It’s about to be 72 hours since I’ve listened to the last episode and I’m so close to deleting PocketFM. Update 9/3/21: Still haven’t been able to read. I read many different stories thinking that Accidental bride was just not working, but I couldn’t unlock any new episodes after weeks. Changing to 1 star.

Myself and several readers are commenting on the story Accidentally Yours (Molly Jane) about missing episodes. We are enjoying the story but it’s getting hard to follow and frustrating when the narrator skips episodes. We are also upset about the fact that we paid for VIP and we haven’t received full access to the completed book as told in the contract when signing up and paying for VIP. Please fix these issues or refund my money. If I have to wait day to day for an episode I shouldn’t have to pay for it. I paid for the access to the full books not one day at a time. This isn’t the only book that isn’t complete that I am reading.

I took subscription of pocket fm as I was just having access to four episodes per day but not they only upload one episode per day that is very frustrating as my friend doesn’t have subscription and I have one being the same They made us buy subscription so that we can have early access to the audio stories but now it’s all the same be careful don’t waste money on it just have patience and watch flirt episode per day later you will just have to wait for one episode per day
Make sure you guys read all the comments on the books or audio stories before taking subscription
You will mostly find bad words because these people are not worth the money

This is my first time on PocketFM. So far I like PocketFM and the stories that’s on it, but the problem I have with PocketFM is that readers have to pay to buy coins or wait until the next day. It would be better if readers would be able to watch short ads after every couple of episodes to unlock episodes for free instead of wasting money buying coins or waiting long for the episodes to unlock. That way readers can keep enjoying the audio books without having to spend money buying coins or waiting long for the books to unlock. This is why I have PocketFM a 1 star. I would give it a 5 star if this was to happen in the next update or so.

I absolutely love PocketFM amazing stories on here I personally don’t like romance stories but when I got onto PocketFM I was intrigued on all the stories on there made me love romance I give it 5 stars. The price on the coins are a little much in my opinion I don’t mind waiting long for a episode but I think if the coins were a little cheaper then I would most definitely buy a lot a coins. If you can please fix I really enjoy PocketFM and I listen to it whenever I study.

So I previously comment saying that some of the stories that I read had disappeared without anyone telling us what happen. Well today while I was looking I found one of the stories that I was missing after weeks of not seeing it on PocketFM . And it’s not like I didn’t search for it because I remember the name but I search for it but never popped up during the time it was gone. I’m still missing another story which was love you superstar in the English version. I would like to see that come back so that I can finish it at least even if it’s an incomplete story.

Love PocketFM it gets me through work and the stories are addictive but the fact that it automatically starts a new story and adds it to my library at the end of the one I may be listening to at the time then when I try to remove the story from my library it pops right back up is becoming very annoying because now I have stories in my library I don’t even like and won’t listen to just sitting there. My OCD won’t and can’t allow it so please fix this auto read and auto add to library issue or I may very well just delete PocketFM in a whole.

I am listening to 2 differed stories, one had me on the edge of my seat. Only had 170 or so episode, so I bought coins to finish what I thought was the entire book. It wasn’t the end, and I’m all caught up. Now only 1 episode being released a night. It’s frustrating. My other story has over 400 episodes I will continue the free version and just listen to these as they are released. I’ll be turning off my notifications as well I only have 2 books in my library but get notifications on all books being updated daily.

I’m loving the stories that I have listened to, but the grammatical errors are annoying. I’m not sure what language these are originally written for, but the English version has many mistakes. I’m continually correcting them in my mind. If it was only one book I’ve listened to I would think it is part of the story, but it’s been in every story I’ve heard so far. One book had a person with such a thick accent that it was hard to follow the storyline. I almost quit listening but the reader changed so I just missed out on a few episodes of the story I was listening to.

I love PocketFM I able to buy a year subscription for $60 and I will get unlimited access to all story with haven’t to pay for more. My subscription just end and now I have to buy tokens to access the story’s that I have downloaded to my account. And I have to pay the whole entire story just to continue the story where I left off. I am honestly disappointed about this. I really hope you can put the year subscription back , because I love story on here and I don’t mind paying. But having to pay for things that I already had it’s upsetting

I loved PocketFM it is so fun and cool I love to use PocketFM when I’m bored are when I’m going to sleep it is fun to Picture The episode
It is one of the best apps I’ve ever used only part I don’t like is you have to pay for it for certain episodes to finish it off which I don’t like but PocketFM is still amazing to use

No offense to the lady that took other the story on accidental bride but I was getting use to the ppl in the 1st part & then they went & Switched it, I don’t like it as much, but I will still listen to it, cuz I want to know what happens, just wish they would have kept the same ppl as the beginning. Idk about the other stories, cuz I haven’t been on PocketFM long & this is the only story I have listened to, so far.

Ik there are those people who are in the company and want to rate good reviews on their own app but I am not from the company, I am just a simple person listening to these audio books and it’s amazing

I got an add for this and realized the story it was showing was exactly the same of a famous comic that also has a novel. I got PocketFM to see if it was really true. It’s the billionaire’s accidental bride. If you get an app called Webnovel one of the most famous comics/novels on there is trial marriage husband: need to work hard. The billionaire’s accidental bride is literally a copy with added flowery language to seem not copied. I hope that I’m wrong about this. Please don’t plagiarize.

PocketFM is awful I paid for a year subscription but only getting the 2 free episodes a day that I received before I got the subscription. All that money and cannot listen to the whole thing as said. I have emailed twice to the contact and no response for refund or to be able to listen to the entire audiobook as paid for. No response and the contact phone number is no good.

Awesome app with great books. I especially like the fact that they are audio. I can still do what needs to be done without having to sit down and read.

I saw an ad so I said why not. It is even better than I thought. I was expecting ad after ad after ad. But it wasn’t. I love it and can’t get enough of PocketFM.

Only reason I give it a four is because it wants you to pay 4.99 per month to get the full story. For free you get some chapters than you have to wait a day to get more characters. But over all PocketFM has amazing story’s.

I totally love PocketFM the stories are great and with my aniexty it relaxes me. I gaved it 5 stars because PocketFM and just the stories it self are amazing and I would give it more stars if I could. Love it 💯💯❤️❤️

I really like the story. I paid for a year but before story was even close to be done it stopped.

Best app ever but am actually like if am get billed monthly it’s more affordable for many of us :(

It’s okay but there is no list to choose from of what you would like to listen to no categories of the sort. Just choose a book then they give you recommendations.

I have paid the premium for a year so i could get all the books with out waiting till the next day , im on my second book and both stopped before the ending , thats not what i paid for , not understanding this at all ,

VIP access states you will get the full story.. this is not a true statement. After paying you still get the story a little at a time. Wished I never invested in this site if I cannot get the full story from beginning to end.
