Ive downloaded and reinstalled Varlens multiple times, Ive updated Varlens and my phone but consistently the zoom function on the camera refuses to work. :(

I have been trying to cancel this subscription for months now. I enjoyed the Pro version until it booted me out and then kept prompting me to pay for Pro in Varlens , even though I already had.

Now it’s disappeared from my paid apps in my Apple account and when I click “manage my subscription” below, it says it cannot load. I tried redownloading Varlens and clicking restore purchase, and there’s a little circle that appears like it’s doing something but then it disappears and nothing changes.

The steps I followed led me nowhere and I received no support from Apple or this app when I reached out - this app only told me to do what I’d already done.

I DO NOT WANT TO RENEW THIS SUBSCRIPTION. I haven’t even been able to use what I purchased for over 9 months now.

Can someone PLEASE help me this time so that this subscription is canceled in time and I am not charged for something I haven’t been able to use in months?

Basically the same thing like all other apps it lets you take pictures same as the original camera app but to use the features that the manual camera has you have to purchase Varlens . For that price id buy a way better camera app

I have purchased this twice and have not been able to ever get it to work on my iPhone XR. Each time I do try to use it it won’t activate and tells me to purchase one of the Pro versions.
What do I have to do to get it to work, please. Thanks

Also it my portrait mode was not focusing on my subject it just made everything blurry even when I tried to manually focus it

“Sign-in”/“restoring purchase” interrupted good photo taking time.

Most of the time my device is working without Wi-Fi/network. This restoring purchase/sign-in things absolutely disturbed good photo snapping time.

Hope you guys fix this issue.

Switching from lenses while zoom in or out it looses the Exposure Value..

I thought Varlens sounded great and purchased it to take a few photos at a once in a lifetime car show. I was upset finding that all the photos were in 12mp. I contacted the customer service feedback and they replied that 48mp is only allowed in manual mode. I use the iPhone camera for quick shots mostly and don’t have the cognitive skills (I have 2 brain disabilities) to quickly adjust settings so I rely on automatic mode the majority of the time. Varlens seemed to be pretty decent especially with additions, and the subscription cost isn’t too bad for what you get. but I can’t justify keep paying a subscription fee for something that I won’t use all the time. If you can shoot manual then I would recommend taking a look at Varlens . If you just rely on auto, look at another camera app as you will be wasting the 48mp photos the iPhone can take.

I’ve enjoyed the camera and even purchased the pro subscription. Under my app subscriptions it shows that it’s active but in the camera app it is requesting that I purchase the pro subscription even though I already have. Attempted to reach out to support but have not yet heard back.

The design of app itself looks and feels great. I’m pretty shocked at how horribly grainy and shaky all photos and videos are. If you require people to make a purchase to even have it at the same level as the native ios camera app, don’t offer a free version at all then.

Please update Varlens to match what the iPhone 15 Pro Max can shoot in the native iOS camera app.

Live Photos in the native iOS camera app shoots at 24MP (in this app it’s only 12MP when shooting with Live Photos), and please update it so it can also record Apple ProRes LOG video as well.

I just discovered Varlens and love its features. Especially taking a Timelapse with RAW. But Varlens crashes every time I try to use it now.

My first impression was it’s free to download so I should be allowed a basic function that is still better than most other apps out there, but I was wrong here. I am fully allowed to use any of the functions but will not be able to save the contents I would have created without signing up for the pro. Which is decently priced. Once I get more into doing mobile photography and with an actual setup then I would utilize Varlens and test it and then I will update this review.

Recording video is supper laggy, specially the 120fps. Will keep exploring app but so far other features are cool.

Trying out the features but something really bugs me about the shutter sound(s): I can’t seem to turn it off. Really, really irritating in many situations photographing I want to be silent when I take a picture. It’s also really loud!

Apps keeps crashing while applying filters, editing, capturing and for etc. causes.

This is a very interesting photo app and I enjoy using it. But everytime I open it, I receive the message that my subscription has lapsed and I need to reauthorize. No other app that I have does this. Fast availability is crucial to photography and this glitch undermines that.

Developers, please correct this problem.

It takes too long to shoot live pictures. Compared with the original camera, they all come out quickly. It takes a long time for this software to shoot live pictures.

Great photos and awesome filters. Even though I like photos so much, I have to go with 3 star due to battery issue. App drains the battery and phone will be hot after 20-30 min usage.
I feel we should have backup battery if we plan to spend half day outside and taking photos frequently. I am using 14Pro, not an issue with Phone camera.

If you could add lock an on record along with a LOG profile for both SDR & HDR as well as the ability to use the filters with HDR video Varlens would be close to perfect!

I almost deleted all of my other applications for this one. It’s easy to use and has everything I need.

I am giving Varlens a 4 star rating because of how great the pictures turn out and how easy it is to use. Couldn’t recommend more. Unfortunately, the pictures flicker when I send them to friends.

I love it so much and it help my personal video edit is very helpfully to me .. many family and friend said wow you look professional. It make me proud of myself . I want to thank you for this varlnes :-)

My beloved camera was destroyed. I cant afford a new camera right now. So I use my iphone. This is the only app that puts all the most useful tools at hand and has a wonderful unedited look to the photos while letting me use manual controls in an easy way. It's nice to adjust my settings and shoot, forgetting that I'm on an iPhone. Wonderful job guys!

I am a first time ios user. I must’ve tried at least 20 different camera apps but they all had so much fluff and very little true substance. You guys nailed it! All I want & nothimore getting ih the way. btw i love that you support still photos capture, something else hard to find in other cam apps. Thanks so much!

I’ve looked at a number of 3rd party photo apps and this is the first one I expect to use frequently. Good interface design and some different /useful features. I’m especially drawn to the Leica B&W and M10 filters, very nice results.

An excellent app one of the best by far even the free version.

This is an absolutely great camera app. It has the features of a full function DSLR. I highly recommend it.

And their Color filters are really excellent as well. Plus the ability to reduce over-cooked images, this app is my go-to app for artsy shots, especially Street & Café photog, and those spur of the moment images.

this app is an all-in-one camera app. You will be astounded by the number of features that are in this well designed application. It has both photo and video camera not found in many other video cameras. I’m especially found of the selection of filters that can be used while capturing and editing. The selection of frame rates cannot be found in any of the best video camera apps. Dig deep into this app and you won’t be dissapoibted. The subscription cost is more then reasonable. JohnnyAppseed
