Why was the old app deleted

They deleted the old app with all of our personal info. Didn’t get any notice and had to go searching for this one just to be able to use the thermometer. I can’t even see a change. And if there is one, why couldn’t the developers just update the old app like every other app developer on the store??
Notifications and alarms barely work

Needs updated to work on iOS 16. Still works on iOS 12. On iOS 16, alarms do not trigger unless your phone is left unlocked and chugodPro is open.
What is pro about this

I’ve used the old app and have downloaded the Pro Version. I don’t see any difference. What has changed, improved or updated, no real info given anywhere.

I purchased the Chugod pro from Amazon 5/19. I do not cook out frequently so it’s total use has been approx 4 times. It is stored indoors and when I went to use it today, it will do nothing. I checked the batteries and they are good but I changed them anyway with still no functionality. I liked this unit when it functioned but I’m seeking something more reliable.

Does not update, I suspect it doesnt have permission to run in background, but it also does not show up on the background app permission list.
So can only get a single measurement by loading chugodPro . Then have to close it and re open to get a new reading. Really wish I could see the plot of the entire cook!

This sets up quick. Has easy pre selection for meats. Reliable for temp. It’s BLUETOOTH folks!
This suits me fine. Never drops as I am in my house when I smoke/grill.
I find it easy and intuitive and cheap! What a bargain.
Gets the job done, plain and simple. I like that.
I pair with the chugod device.
Don’t believe the hype. Works just fine. Been 5 years running now.

chugodPro links quickly to the thermostat and then I can continue to prepare food while knowing the meat being cooked is going to be spot on.
