I received an email stating that there was a paypal purchase for $700 (I don't have paypal) in the email there was a number and I called to clarify the situation. They told me that someone was using my identity to make purchases because it seemed like I was making a purchase from Georgia, Phoenix and Ohio. He asked me to download this application and I confidently did it until the application asked me to share the screen with the "technician" and I asked him if it was safe and he told me yes, because it was the only way so they would be able to block the hackers. In the application it says in red letters "are you sure you want to share your screen with the technician" and "that it was not safe to share the screen with others" the truth is that scared me and I hung up on him. He was also a man from India.

Please don't reply to my review trying to defend this crummy app, which is basically theft on wheels. I caught you guys red-handed trying to steal money directly out of my bank account.

I had to change my user ID because somebody kept on trying to change my email address, phone number, etc. They pretended they were connected to Apple support after installing HelpDeskHost . They immediately wanted to look at my bank app and my Venmo app. They tried to instigate a fake crypto Transfer. Immediately deleted, and I had to change my banking password and my Venmo password.

HelpDeskHost is designed to get into your phone so the can steal your information. I check on internet to call eBay to fix my problem. A person call Michael fake to be the customer representative and ask me to download HelpDeskHost. And he ask me a lot of information for my bank account to sign in. And so many other accounts. I finally reach eBay they said this was the first they provided the service for me. Please don’t trust HelpDeskHost.

This is exact thing happened to me as well!! They pretended to be Facebook support team then showed that someone was trying to take over $12,000 from my account on facebook. Then tried to get me to go through all my financial apps to see if the scammers had gotten into those then the last straw was when they tried to convince me to send $2,000 to a friend of mine via Venmo app - several red flags along the way with this call. I finally hung up the phone on them. So beware!!!!!

They tried to look at my financial apps which had nothing to do with my business account on FACEBOOK. And claimed someone was trying to buy cryptocurrency and that they needed to see my Venmo, Cash app accounts..the crazy thing is that the number popped up in the Meta Business Suite app..why hasn’t this been deleted yet?? I blame FACEBOOK for their poor customer service if they had a way to legitimately contact their support team no one would have to be going through all of this.

Had the same experience. Had trouble with AOL email and a got number from internet. It was scammers. Had me load AP so they could help. Long story short, after a visit to my bank I had to cancel both my debit card and my credit card. Fortunately bank accounts were OK. Also put a credit freeze with the three credit reporting companies. Thought I was smarter than all this. These guys are good. When finally went to right AOL they used a different AP to help solve the problem.

Be careful about to never use this application. It is pure and typical Indian call center scam. Never allow them remote access to your mobile device - These Indian scammers record your session so any alphabet can be recorded so they can use the video including voice and any image to reverse engineer especially Robinhood or Coinbase. If not careful, these Indian scammers can steal all of your assets in a matter of minutes. You should never even download HelpDeskHost to begin with. Overall, be awfully careful and never download HelpDeskHost

I searched up mega quest customer service number about purchasing a gear vr for my mom and the rep said yes we have a promotion, then he said but before we do the purchase i need you to download HelpDeskHost to confirm the payment method, then asked me to go on my settings to control my device and asked me to go in my bank account app, i immediately knew something was off and dropped the call and cancel the fake scammer from controlling my bank account. Super fake and scammers use HelpDeskHost to steal. Thankfully i noticed right away and stop it!!!!

This is a foreign scam out of a Third World country like Afghanistan or Pakistan that is Advertising using Google ad words. They come up as an advertised response For a search term, such as “Apple contact.” if you’re not careful and you call the advertised ad word, phone number, they will lead you to download HelpDeskHost. Then they will direct you to enter a number they give you which will then grant them access to your Apple device. Beware: it is a complete scam and they are not affiliated with Apple. Their goal is to get as much money out of you as they possibly can! 😬

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. If anyone tells you to download this DO NOT. I tried to contact Apple support (what I thought was Apple support) and it turned out to be a fake phone number associated with a man , who had a thick Indian accent. He was very forceful and rushed me when I called to try and figure out an issue on my phone. He had made me download HelpDeskHost, so he could look at my phone while “fixing the problem” long story short, he tried to get me to send $250 dollars to my own email address. These people are using HelpDeskHost to steal information, take your money and ruin your life!!!!!

I also tried to contact Facebook Support via phone. DON’T!! They don’t offer customer service over the phone. The contact on opposite end told me she was transferring me to her supervisor. He told me to download HelpDeskHost and Liberty x. I later learned Liberty x is a Bitcoin app. He told me in order for him to help me he needed to ensure my device wasn’t compromised. He did want to give me access to a Facebook site as he said it could be compromised. He convinced me my phone was compromised. I downloaded HelpDeskHost and the bitcoin app not realizing it was a scam. When he told me to drive to the nearest Walgreens and take all my debit cards, I hung up. Uninstalled the 2 app. Collaborated with my bank and a doing a reset on my phone as he could see my IP Address.

So I was having problems with my Facebook and messenger. I called the help service for Facebook. The automative system told me which number to put in the dialing pad. I got ahold of somebody they told me to download HelpDeskHost and I was getting that gut feeling. They was telling me if I used marketplace that there was a purchase and then trying to get my bank information! I hung up the phone immediately and erased HelpDeskHost ! I believe HelpDeskHost showed them my whole phone set up just from HelpDeskHost! I immediately went to the bank and to my phone service place!! DONT DOWNLOAD!!

I don’t know why HelpDeskHost is still on the market. We can ban TikTok for data tracking, while HelpDeskHost is literally a stranger stalking your phone. They will say that they don’t see your personal information with the broadcast, while in reality they can. I caught the scammer slipping up on his words and saw my bank account information. If you get a call and they tell you download HelpDeskHost, hand up immediately! I have learned my lesson the hard way. Also, Apple, do you mind taking HelpDeskHost off completely please. I know you have the power to do it.

This is a total scam. I had an issue with a payment through eBay. I contacted eBay customer service which I thought was them. They had me download HelpDeskHost at least three people were working on this and gave me different codes they told me I had to set up eBay with the Venmo so they got into my eBay account and got all my account information off of eBay then they had me send money to my friend and had my friend send the money back, but I never got it back so they got over $2900 of my money, this account HelpDeskHost needs to be shut down and investigated you can’t trust anybody

Do NOT get this and DO NOT DO WHAT HelpDeskHost SAYS!!!!!!! Don’t fool for ANYONE asking you to buy something to fix something NO MATTER WHAT!!!! These people pretended to be AppleCare took $100 out of my bank and said the most vulgar things to me & my husband because we wouldn’t give him my credit card number. They will ask to see your phone screen then take you all over til they see your info then they act like they’re doing things but really they ran my card that you can do once then I called Apple & they said it was not them! But they knew pretty fast so they’re gonna catch the stupid bastar*!!! Just don’t get fooled!!!!!!!

I attempted to access my Business Suite account on Facebook and called the customer service number directly from the website. However, I was redirected to HelpDeskHost, which immediately raised red flags since it didn’t appear to be affiliated with Facebook in any way.

After downloading HelpDeskHost , they gained access to my screen and asked me to log into my business bank account to “verify” that no money had been taken, claiming my Facebook account had been hacked. This was suspicious because I had already logged in on my computer and confirmed that no money was missing—especially considering I never even connected my bank account to Facebook in the first place.

Despite my concerns, they insisted I log in using my phone while screen sharing, allowing them to see me type in my password. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they immediately hung up on me.

DO NOT TRUST HelpDeskHost! It is highly suspicious and seems to be a scam.

Don’t use HelpDeskHost it’s used by third world criminals. If you use it you will be scammed. Thought I was contacting PayPal got the number from google guess I’m gonna stop using them to. Connected to some man from India that told me they had to verify my PayPal account by downloading HelpDeskHost and sending money through PayPal. Nice try but you didn’t get baby. Be careful can’t trust google to look up the numbers of corporations anymore. Think I’ll be finding a new search engine if google going to allow this garbage on there. Now that I think about it apple should take HelpDeskHost off HelpDeskHost Store immediately unless they want to be complicit in ripping people off.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD HelpDeskHost!!! My Facebook page was suspended and tried to call the number I got from “Meta”. They had me download HelpDeskHost to “scan” and to put a protection thing to stop the hackers from using my info. Made the mistake on giving them access but when they told me to go on my Venmo to “see if there are suspicious activities” I stopped it right there. Transferred me to an Indian guy with the name Sam Goodman??? Come on! So I stopped the link and removed HelpDeskHost . They were able to see the cards I have on my phone but I just removed my cards. I’ll have to keep a look out on what purchases are made on my accounts now but I can’t believe I fell for all that!

I called what I thought was Apple support. I got the number from the Internet when I dialed the number. The customer service rep said I needed to download HelpDeskHost so that he could help me troubleshoot the problem I was having. He seemed very pushy and eager, which gave me a bad feeling so I hung up on him found out the number listed on the Internet for Apple support was a fake number. I was also told by the real Apple support that HelpDeskHost is used to go into your phone steal all your credit card information your identity!! PLEASE WHAT EVER U DO DONT DOWNLOAD HelpDeskHost. I’ve spoken to Apple support and they are going to try to figure out what’s going on until then, DO NOT use HelpDeskHost or download it!!! Pls I warn you

A scammer from a fake help desk website (EBay) had me download HelpDeskHost to gain screen-share access to my phone. I have read other reviews of HelpDeskHost now and it seems as though others have had the same problem with scammers. If you use HelpDeskHost make sure you 100% know who you are allowing to see your phone and be sure not to have any passwords or financial information visible on your screen to protect yourself.
