Not a true idle game, not even close. They want to charge you $16/month to not see ads $4/week, $10-$20 “battle passes” every few weeks $5 for another pass, daily missions demand you watch ads, there are **dark patterns** for ads and spending money absolutely everywhere. This game needs to be subjected to another background check, no for malware or spyware, but dark patterns which rides the fence of illegal and legal while outright illegal in some countries.
I have already spent a few hours and $15 to get absolutely nowhere as the game artificially slows your progress down, no matter how powerful your troops are. Advertisements are frequent and 2min long. Gameloft are disgusting, I didn’t realize things have gotten this bad. The owner and publishers are parasites. It’s not even pay to win, it’s pay and still get screwed over. If you’re a whale, you won’t be happy. I’m no whale, and I’m salty about misleading me into these purchases.

So the game is “free” to play but it costs about $30 a week to get all of the season passes to win all the extra prizes. The game itself is fun enough to play but as a top 10 player in every weeks challenge and having beaten 96% of the game, I have come across so many glitches and crashes it’s ridiculous.

The game provides speed ups and health boosts. Use too many and the game crashes and you lose all your active troops attacking.

Abe Lincoln won’t attack bosses. He will just stand there looking away from the bosses.

If you want a high score on boss fights just use giants because all of the other troops will die and not get points.

In the arena, you can have higher power troops and officers and still lose to a lower player even when using the exact same troops and set up. I have confirmed this many times because you can go in and rematch players you lose to for free. Something in the programming makes you lose anyway so they can advertise for you to buy another hero.

I could sit here all day and list off glitches and issues the developer is too lazy to fix but the developer gets paid for that, not me.

As someone who has spent a few hundred dollars playing the game I can assure you that you’re better off saving your money. The glitches will ruin the game for you.

Absolute worst game I’ve ever played in my life. The graphics and stuff look so promising. Then you get in and see the variety of soldiers and thing “wow a lot of strategy must go into this”. But then you realize there is no strategy to the game. Every level just costs more gold to unlock so it takes longer while you wait for gold to accumulate. What soldiers you use don’t change the game in any way. They all die just the same. You’ll never win a level unless you have hours to sit and wait for gold or unless you do what the game is intended to make you do. What is the game intended for you to do? GET SO DESPERATELY IMPATIENT THAT YOULL SPEND THE MONEY TO SPEED IT UP. I refused to spend a penny and that’s why I was bored out of my mind. Stay away from this god forsaken game. It seems so good at first but within the first couple zones you’ll realize how good they are at wasting your time.
