Waiting at Port Authority for bus to PNC. It was to be the 5:30 bus. As of 5:47 no bus. Also there is no dispatcher or Academy worker anywhere in the area. Update - as of 5:57 still no bus. And now 6pm bus line is forming on another gate. With no dispatcher who will facilitate the 5:30 passengers getting on before the 6 pm.

What’s the point of publishing a schedule that you cannot deliver? Every night there’s some sort of problem including no 5:15pm the last three days (7/7-7/9).

The worst service. The bus no longer makes stops in midtown and now I need to walk which takes extra time in the morning. The service was cut but not the ticket price. Academy does not care about the customer. They only care about making money and saving money by packing buses and leaving people stranded. Buses are canceled very often with little to no notice. There are not many bus options for commuters which adds to the stress. The company cannot get drivers or retain drivers b/c they are probably treated very poorly with low salary.

You are the worse bus service I have ever taken. Your service is very limited and your fares are outrages for what passengers get. It’s just shocking! Buses come when they want to, people get stranded having to, at the last minute go to midtown to catch the NJ transit because your service is horrible! NJ Transit is reliable! I can’t say the same thing about Academy! I am reporting this to the State Governor because this should never happen to hard working people!!!

I waited for the bus to wall st from 6:15 am to 7:00 and the bus never stopped at US-9 w county lane. This was my first time wanting to ride the academy bus. I decided to drive to Aldrich park and ride to catch the 7:08 to port authority I get on the bus I can’t use my pass because it says wall st. Ended up having to buy a ticket for the 139 (NJ transit) bus to port authority and spent 40 one way!!! In between the academy bus which never stopped where supposed to and the 139 local bus to NY.

If I could give zero stars I would. Most unreliable commuter bus. Buses don’t show up on time or at all and they keep taking buses off the schedule instead of adding them. All they care about is chartering the buses out. Tonight my bus was over an hour late and arrives filthy with food and garbage all over the seats and floors I would attach the pictures if there was an option for that.

Buses didn’t stop to pick us up at cheesequake yesterday. Called dispatch she said the ramp they usually use is closed. So they didn’t bother telling the drivers to use an alternate entrance.

Clearly Academy does not stick to its schedule or care about their customers. They can’t even answer the phone this morning

Just bought my January monthly and it comes w/ a increase in price.
I asked the gate employee.
So, I guess they are returning the busing after 7:30? No, they are not.
What about a long awaited weekend bus that I could get into the city for a 7 am start at my work location? (Which would be a Saturday 5:30/6:00am bus) Again he replied No.
Well, do I understand this correctly?
They cut the schedule for almost 2 yrs. saving cost on Gate staff, fuel, maintenance and drivers but instead of passing the discount they decided to charge their riders more FoR LeSS!
You can’t make this up!!

When I try to buy ticket after a few weeks I have to uninstall and reinstall app. I get an error something went wrong. After reinstall it work.

You have to wait until your bus is in site to activate ticket. The process is too long. Academy has made buying paper tickets a discriminatory process for people with poor credit.

If a driver doesn’t come to work in the morning the bus is canceled but no alerts are given. When calling dispatch office in Tom’s River the pleasant person who answers the phone says “Sorry but I don’t have the ability to send an alert to App”. How about Academy fixes that?

It is convenient being able to just have my ticket in my phone now but have been having issues with my ticket popping up. Hoping these issues become fixed quickly.

Waiting at Union Hill Park & Ride on 4/7/2022 since 4:31. PDF Schedule says Wall Street bus pulls into Union Hill Park & Ride at 4:41 am. No bus Comes. Call dispatch. They say bus is approaching Union Hill Park & Ride (dispatch says they can see where bus bus GPS). 5:59 am still no bus at Park and ride. Call dispatch again. This time dispatch calls driver. Driver said he decided to not go into park and ride!!!! Really! What’s the point of a schedule! Now have to wait for 6:19 bus! Change my rating to a zero!!!!!!!

Buses going to Westampton are constantly being canceled especially the 3:00pm and sometimes the 4:00pm. It’s ridiculous

Pros Drivers look for efficiency and know the roads Most buses are quiet and temperature controlled on cold winter days Passengers can sense camaraderie between drivers in traffic and bad snow, makes you feel part of a team Glad the bus lines still exist post COVID, it’s my connection to New York City Cons Drivers tend to leave stops a minute to three minutes earlier than posted departure times Instances where buses dont show and no communication Buses or old stage coaches with cloth seating are very uncomfortable (lower back and necks) and create animosity between passengers when there are low patience levels from seat discomfort

No longer have the bus's location in AcademySilverPass ! Terrible!

I appreciate the new app that Academy has put out. I’m glad to be able to see when the next bus is arriving and it works pretty well. Any time I have an issue, Academy is keen to know so they can make adjustments on the backend. I requested they save split payments from month to month to save the info, and they’re already working on it. As I am back to riding the bus almost full time, I’m glad Academy has finally gotten it off the ground!

I love it now that Academy finally has an app. Easy to purchase tickets check schedules and to contact. Seamless app. Love it. Love Academy Bus.

I am very happy Academy has this new app. You can easily purchase tickets and pull up your bus schedule. AcademySilverPass is very easy to use.

They don’t give you the first time users discount unless you get it between certain times and they keep changing it, complete scam!

A few things...

I have the latest version of the Silver Pass app...it is not allowing me purchase a monthly ticket which I need for tomorrow morning. I have been trying all morning. Unbelievable.
