I am constantly being overcharged. I felt like I was always having to purchase coins, so I started watching my purchases more closely, and sure enough, they are way overcharging me.
Purchased a $9.99 pack with 1000 coins and 600 free coin bonus. Then, purchased the chapter of my book, which said it cost only 75 coins. Before even reading the chapter, I checked my balance and sure enough, they charged 197 coins not just 75!!!
I just sent an email to customer support, so I will wait and see. But so far, my advice is to stay away from WeRead!

The this app app does not have a way to get a hold of someone for support. I downloaded WeRead , purchased the monthly subscription. The took money out of my account without the account showing active. I tried contacting them through the chat and email option. I have not received a response and was locked out of my account with no way to sign back in or to reset my password. I would not use WeRead.

WeRead seems like a fraud. There are multiple instances (at least 4 times for over 50$) where I paid and received no coins.
Second, they overcharge you and give less than promised coins. I have written to their customer care, if I don’t receive anything then WeRead is fraud and should be taken off the market.

after the update to newest version, WeRead force closes as soon as you open it. I have been a paying SVIP member for a while and have prepaid for the next quarter (within the last week). I tried contacting service, but the submit button does not work and only zooms in on the text.
Very poor execution on retaining paying members!!!!

I downloaded WeRead. and opened it. But everything don’t seem to work. I can’t only a partial half of the pages. It’s hard to read when you can’t see and read the whole sentences. You can’t even see the options or let alone signed in. What’s up with that… fixed all this problems.

I love reading. I read a sneak peak on facebook and got hooked. Ended up spending $50 before I could get to the end. Still haven't finished the dang book. Because the author hasn't finished it yet! But for $9.99 I can sneak preview it!? DO NOT DO IT!!

Even after purchasing the SVIP membership which cost $17 monthly, you still need to pay more coins to unlock more chapters of the new incomplete book. I do not recommend unless you are willing to pay more money.

They charge constantly and from what I am experiencing there is no way to cancel. The platform is flakey...not easy to navigate, no help and a high price for the stories. I thought Apple did a better job of checking out the apps.

After months of trying to get in touch with support I have finally canceled my subscription. Go to App Store, click on your profile, then manage subscriptions. The inapp buttons for canceling do not work.

I bought 200 coins and after reading one chapter (was supposed to be only 45 coins) it said I was out. They steal your stuff.

If I could give 0 stars I would, it’s insanely expensive, the proper amount of coins are not taken, given etc. They have a non existent customer service, oh and btw you can buy the books off of Amazon for kindle for cheap and read the entire book for one fair price instead of this apps ridiculous option.

Was reading - don’t remember name but was about Andrew Lu and Ashley Mu and Lena Mu — was past chapter where Ashley was at birthday party for Mr Lau, Ashley and Andrew bought rings book was deleted and could not get back. It went to other book. Trying to get back then said phone got virus so deleted app. How do I get book back?

I thought I would like this because I really love to read but it is definitely a rip off! Most books are hundreds of chapters so you end up paying up to $100 just to read a book that editing is horrible in and very repetitive! I would not suggest this app at all! Kindle is better!!

I’ve paid $40 so far for a book that has 400 chapters and I’m only at chapter 238. I feel $20 is a reasonable price to pay for a book, it it what I would spend in a book shop, less if i am buying on kindle, considering the editing is pretty shocking, these books should be capped at $20. The chapters are short and repetitive which draws them out. Sadly I can not leave a book unfinished, but if this continues to be the case, then I will be deleting the app and sticking to the reading apps that are more affordable.
