Downloaded SmartTVRemoteApp, got the free subscription. App did not work, it would connect to my device but would not work when I used the buttons. For those of you who pay for this subscription and are having issues but don’t know how to cancel, for iPhone members go to your setting and in the search bar search “subscriptions” and you’ll be able to cancel from your subscriptions tab. Don’t waste your money on SmartTVRemoteApp

I paid for a year or something like that but I couldn’t cancel my subscription or anything as a matter a fact I didn’t see any where in my subscriptions for SmartTVRemoteApp to cancel so now I’m stuck with an app that I can’t use . And I could not get my money back.. very upset with this .

I understand you want people to pay you but the limited version will connect to your fire stick and then immediately open an ad when you press any button, disconnecting you from your fire stick in the process.

Sorry to say but I hate SmartTVRemoteApp, my remote is lost and I can’t find it so I thought to download an app well let me tell you about SmartTVRemoteApp, it has adds every 2 times you click a button and it doesn’t even work. I pointed it at my tv and everything, still nothing. It also ask’s if you want to pay for some type of unlimited buttons every five seconds….. like NO I don’t want to pay for something so stupid every month or so!

How stupid is it to require the remote when 99% of us are downloading it because we do not have a functioning remote. I used the trial version for 2 minutes before realizing that it won’t let you press anything without ads popping up

You have to have your actual remote. Mine over heats & doesn’t work properly.. so how am I supposed to connect? Also, the ADs!!! They’re ridiculous. I don’t mind paying a little to get away from them, but I’m not paying more than an actual firestick tv remote.. $30 is absurd. I’ll switch back to my Roku!

The greedy people who created this made it unusable due to the amount of ads. There’s no way of determining if the paid version actually is user friendly; I’m not going to give these people money and a prayer that their app is slightly better if you throw money at this dumpster fire of a creation.

Downloaded and paid for a year. And realized you need a remote to still set SmartTVRemoteApp up. I purchased SmartTVRemoteApp because my remote was gone. I requested a refund and got nothing back not even an email. Then when I went to request a refund again it shows I have no eligible apps to request a refund.

One of the functions, the down button, malfunctioned and stop working on my fire stick remote. When I saw that I could download SmartTVRemoteApp and control the fire TV, I immediately down loaded it and, foolishly, signed up for the lifetime subscription. I should’ve tried SmartTVRemoteApp out first to see if it worked. I had no inkling it would not connect or work. But it didn’t. Buyer beware. Make sure it works before you sign up for any subscription.

Should be an option to connect to fire stick without using the actual remote. In my case my remote is not working properly, therefore requiring remote app. However, I still need use of the actual fire stick remote. Sign- Frustrated.

It works if you follow the instructions. It’s just a little slow which takes a while to get used to. They could improve SmartTVRemoteApp for sure.

Don’t waste your money if you think “hey I lost my fire stick remote, let me download this on my phone so I can use my fire stick” Trust me you are wrong. Save your money and your time !

SmartTVRemoteApp is amazing. When I don't find my remote tv I use SmartTVRemoteApp for my smart TV to change the channels or for the valume. Its the best remote tv app.

This is the best remote tv app like all the other app you will have to enter the TV ID and stuff which was difficult for me to find but SmartTVRemoteApp connects by WiFi and it is amazing it is so nice and it is too good .

There was an issue where it suddenly wouldn't connect but now it's fixed , i totally recommend SmartTVRemoteApp it's better than all the other garbage ad filled apps.

Drop 5 out of 5 although SmartTVRemoteApp is not compatible with my tv. Out of all the apps that provide devices remote, this is the only app that provides an explanation with an error message. Thanks.
