Solitaire Collection Reviews

If anyone thinks this is a better version of Microsoft Solitaire Collection, they are out of their minds. I use to enjoy playing Freecell, Klondike, and Spider. No longer. Each of these games are inundated with ads—of course that’s because the owners want people to buy them—that also have sound included. There is no way to turn the sound off. I get hyper when I hear the sounds that are so infantile nor do I want to listen to the spiel of people trying to convince me I’m going to die if I don’t download whatever they’re selling. And then to add insult to injury if DONE is clicked, one may find themself in a loop (once through should be more than enough) until their finger gets in the right position to avoid the GET screen again. I don’t think even experts at these games will win more than one for every five or six played games. I thought I was good because I had 74%, 98%, 47% scores (respective of those above). So far I haven’t come anywhere near those rates. In looking at the boards, the “shuffling” of the cards is poor at best, non existent at worse. If a user tells the system DONE once, why isn’t there a counter (one time through should be more than enough) so that user doesn’t go into a loop? I’m upset that the version of Microsoft Solitaire Collection I was playing was deleted. I prefer that version (and yes I probably didn’t like it when I began to use it).

I wanted to like SolitaireCollection… it’s one of the only ones with Spider solitaire. But the ads are insane. Not even just between games. Like any time you tap out of SolitaireCollection , even to respond to a text, you have to sit through an ad when you come back. You could be playing for 5 seconds, leave SolitaireCollection , and come back and it forces you to watch an ad.

But the worst part? I actually paid for their “no ads” subscription AND STILL GOT ADS. I triple checked because I was like how is this possible. I tried to sign up for no ads again but couldn’t because I already had it.

I eventually cancelled my subscription (since it was doing nothing) and tried to play it for a while with ads, but it is just so obnoxious that I’m going to get rid of it. Can’t stand it anymore.

I’ve used the Microsoft Solitaire Collection on several iPads over the years. A couple iOS updates it wouldn’t recognize my login on my iPad Air2. It keeps asking me to sign in with an incorrect email address & won’t allow me to change it. Even deleting SolitaireCollection & reinstalling it doesn’t help. It continues to work just fine on my iPad 7th Generation.

SolitaireCollection is so much fun. I absolutely love the variety of games, daily challenges, and collectible furniture in the game. Things like that make the game a bit more fun and less repetitive. I used to play this game all the time, and had lots of fun doing it. The problem is that their recent update has made it so that the game will not even launch for me. I use an iPhone 6, and although the model is old the phone itself is only 2 1/2 years old. My phone runs well, however for some reason with the update it will not run this game. I was very upset about this when I realized because of how much I enjoyed this game. The game would be a 5 star game for me (even with ads, I consider them not too excessive) if this didn’t happen. If this issue is ever fixed I will once again consider this to be a 5 star game. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves solitaire, and as long as it runs on your device you shouldn’t face too many problems.

I got SolitaireCollection to relax but having a timer keeps it from being relaxing I would like to see my score not be affected by the timer.

This Solitaire game is fun too easy to win I like a challenge sometimes other than that it’s OK game

I really enjoy SolitaireCollection. I found the ads too disruptive to an enjoyable playing experience. SolitaireCollection said no ads with subscription. So, I paid for a year’s subscription. However, I have started receiving ads well before my subscription was set to expire. I will not be renewing my subscription for this very reason.

I bought everything and would like to use my coins for something else.

Once you compete a game you are right away taken from your stats to an annoying ad. It’s so frustrating. The ad shouldn’t pop up until you exit the stats. I have other solitaire apps that do this the right way so I know it’s possible. Please fix! I really do enjoy it otherwise.

Offers a variety of games and it’s fun but there are too many ads. I just spent 5 minutes waiting to be able to play, while having to watch/click on 4 different ads. I’ll be looking for a different app.

There is no button to deal again. App gets stuck in repetitive motion. If you can’t get it to have no moves, it will have you repeating moves forever.

SolitaireCollection is a good solitaire app. But you’re best to ignore the challenges or collecting, because I’ve had my my progress reset twice for apparently no reason at all so now I’m lvl 30 but show no collections and no completed challenges.

Ads need to be short. Also ads like other solitaire games are too misleading. You intentionally make it look like your getting an upgrade and you’re not (bad Karma headed your way)

I love SolitaireCollection but I would change one thing. I started playing it in August and I wish it would let me go back to previous months and play them to. Now I have to wait for the daily challenge each day.

Please set up software for return to new game rather than going back to homepage. I have dozens of solitaire games, but can’t repeatedly play with yours. Phil

I love this game but now the 3 peak game is not working. Can you please look into this. I had the old version switched to newer version and it’s still doing it. Help!!

Update: the prompts I mention below went away after a few times of clicking through. Hopefully they don't return.

...and then I updated to v. 1.5.7. Now every time I open the game I get asked if I want to play Spades or Solitaire for cash. Every. Time. And I paid for the ad free version a long time ago.

I spend more time trying to close adds than playing the games

It is a great game , Klondike . The pieces move quickly and makes you want to keep playing !!!
