Simple maybe not in a good way

The main problem I have with FastingTrackerDietApp is when your fast is done it continues to run the clock. It runs the clock as “not fasting” until you start the clock for your fast. I don’t want the clock running. I want THE OPTION to run the clock. Also it doesn’t keep a good record of your past fasts, so I have to screen shot when and how long it was. So long story short, I only download FastingTrackerDietApp when I want to fast, screenshot my numbers, and delete FastingTrackerDietApp when I’m not fasting so that it’s not running constantly. It does get the job done simply of counting how long you’re fasting though. I’m looking for another app like this that’s simple but gives me the option to run the clock.

Good But Not Great.

Only complaint: I don’t always start and stop the tracker when I start or stop fasting. Provide the option to set the time when event occurred.

Update: reduced from four stars to two.

After months is use, no function to adjust the start time or end time has become more and more frustrating. I don’t have my phone attached as an appendage 24/7. I refuse to do so. If I start or break my fast without my phone, I cannot accurately track when the event occurred. Now I am having to keep track of how many hours to add or subtract from FastingTrackerDietApp tracked time. If I am reverting to using a written log to keep track of divinations, what do I need FastingTrackerDietApp for?

Need a way to adjust the clock

Update: there also needs to be a way to look at why you’re getting an average of 15 hours when you’re fasting for 18 hours a day. Something is wrong with the way it figures. Or maybe a couple of times I reopened my window need to be deleted? Anyway, FastingTrackerDietApp is too rigid and there’s no way to adjust it according to what’s really happening. FastingTrackerDietApp is losing STARZ every time I look at it. I like the clock that runs while I’m fasting, and then when my window is open, but I do not like the rigidness of it.

I like how it keeps track of my goals and intermittent fasting and will tell me when I last ate and how many hours it’s been, but there needs to be a way to adjust that. For example, I started my fast at 2:55 not at 3:05 and a way to adjust it back to 2:55 would be great.

Unable to make corrections

I had a notification from FastingTrackerDietApp in the middle of the night to Open FastingTrackerDietApp to Start Fasting. But I was Fasting. Apparently, I had inadvertently hit the timer once to few or once too many. In trying to correct the mode from feeding to fasting, FastingTrackerDietApp now wrongly shows I fasted 20 times in 15 days instead of 15 in 15. My average fasting length in FastingTrackerDietApp is bungled by including the erroneous statistics that were actually feeding times. There is literally no way to make any correction (as noted by a reviewer a year ago). How difficult would that be to incorporate so that FastingTrackerDietApp tallies and averages are legitimate. While I like having an app to keep me accountable, I have no record of success, only a continuous reminder of my errors. Garbage In/ Garbage Out.

Too little

I had a more advanced fasting app for a month on a free trial and found I was mainly using it for a timer and reminder. This seemed to be the only app that is not subscription based, but there is nothing except the timer. I can have my phone just set a timer and it would be more affective cause I can still end it or start it easily. FastingTrackerDietApp does not even include a widget or any compatibility with voice assistant on your phone. All that would be fine if I could just edit the time my fast starts or ends. I am still new to fasting and do not always remember to log my first meal or my last. But it is set in stone if you forget you just cannot accurately track your fast. Not enough to call this more than a timer app.

No way to edit fast start time

I always start fasting between 7:30-8:30 but don’t always remember to start the timer (I actually forget to do it a lot). FastingTrackerDietApp doesn’t give me the ability to go back and edit the actual time I start to fast or the time I start to eat. It’s like it assumes that I have my phone with me 24/7 which I don’t.

I was using another app that allowed me to edit start and stop times but with more features than I needed. I May have to find another app if this feature isn’t added.

If you simply want a stopwatch, this may be for you.

Intermittent Fasting

I was using an intermittent fasting tracker that was much more detailed. I didn’t need all that it offered, so trying this one out. I can’t find what the difference is between the free and the paid version. (I’m now paying for it.) Also, I wish there was a way to preplan my fasting periods so that I’m not having to remember (or put a timer on) to get into FastingTrackerDietApp to click “Start Fasting.” If there is, I’m NOT aware how to do it. I’ve tried putting in a future time and FastingTrackerDietApp doesn’t allow me to do that. So, I’m Not sure that FastingTrackerDietApp is for me. I may only pay for this one month and cancel.

Basic and Simple

It is a very basic and simple app that helps keep track of the fast. I rated a 4, because there is no way to edit the fast. For instance, after I ate dinner I forgot to push the start fast button. When I looked in the morning it said get ready for your fast so I started the fast, but only an hour from when it is time to eat again. I can’t go in and edit the start time of my fast to make it accurate.

Almost perfect

I really like that FastingTrackerDietApp is really simple and not full of crud every other app has. Although I think it could use some UX improvements mainly around the button. It’s way too easy to double tap which can mess you up and get the timer going for the wrong thing. I think there could be some logic that detects short segments and figure out what the true fast period is. As it stands now if you double tap it uses that short segment against your average.

I’d also like to see a way to edit past data to make corrections. I know this is getting into feature creep territory but would also like to see more granular control like don’t fast on x day and the like.

But seriously thank you for FastingTrackerDietApp, it’s been a huge help!

I really enjoy the Fasting App

I really enjoy the Fasten app, but there is one major thing that is missing from FastingTrackerDietApp . That one major thing is being able to edit the start time of your fast. The reason why there needs to be a way to edit the start time is because often I forget to start it when I should. Then, when I remember, maybe an hour or several hours have gone by and then I hit the start fast button.
So it makes my fast times inaccurate. Can this be a small update? Or at the very least, allow to be able to edit the fasting time after ending a fast?

Just one flaw

I like FastingTrackerDietApp for its simplicity. It's just a tracker with nice, clean graphics. You choose your goal and start right in. No ads, no info that you can find with a simple search, nothing else extra. The only thing is, there is no way to adjust the times when I start or end the fasts. If I forget or i'm not near my device or whatever, I'm just doomed. So I can't track as precisely as I would like. I wrote to the developer but have not received a reply. If I could figure out how to adjust the tasting times, this would easily be five stars.

Great App for tracking my window

I follow Gin Stephens program for fasting. I do better when I only track the period of time I am eating and FastingTrackerDietApp is perfect for that. My only complaint, and reason for 4 stars, is that it is not available for my Apple Watch. That would make it easier to start, or stop, FastingTrackerDietApp when I can’t get to my phone. Otherwise it is perfect for what I need - a simple time tracker that keeps a record of my eating window.

Easy to work with!

FastingTrackerDietApp was straight to the point. So many other apps were complicated and you would have to pay money in order for you to basically use FastingTrackerDietApp . Though FastingTrackerDietApp doesn’t really show the healthy eating habits, or the water intake aspect of other apps, the simplicity of it makes way less intimidating. I liked how it ranked the levels of fasting times, but you can still go at your own pace. It makes fasting soooo much easier.

I like it!

I suppose one could just fast for a certain amount of time all by themselves, but FastingTrackerDietApp makes it easy and friendly. Call me crazy but the timer makes waiting (or fasting) fun. It lets me know that I will once again eat and that’s important because I’m hypoglycemic and the thought of fasting used to frighten me. I probably fasted naturally when I was younger because I never had a big weight problem, but age and slowing down is getting ahead of me and this help is helping me win the battle. Thank you!

Edit the time!!!!

I just started FastingTrackerDietApp. I have always fast but FastingTrackerDietApp actually let me know how long I’ve been actually fasting. My only problem is that please update FastingTrackerDietApp so that I can stop the timer after I fast I would like for it to end not keep going as if I’ve been fasting for 100 hours!!!. Other than that I really like FastingTrackerDietApp . If there is no update soon on this problem then I’m going to switch to another fasting app.

I like it, but…

So far I like the straight counter. Although, I wish it had a locked screen counter with a fasting stage under it, So I could just look at my phone and see how long it’s been and where I’m currently at in my fast. Sometimes I get tempted to eat b4 I’m hungry, just because it’s a restaurant or food I really like, but that counter on my screen and fasting stage display, I feel would sober me up and get me back in line with not eating until I’m hungry.

No bells or whistles!

I love this thing! I had one of those expensive ones that drove me insane because it kept crashing, and it would skip a fast even if you hit the button. With this one, I don’t have to worry about anything! I can use my own alarm to remind me when to hit the button. And it also keeps track of my statistics. I love this one. I wish all apps were this simple and straightforward.

Best fasting app by far.

I have downloaded many fasting apps, either they were way too complicated or they just did’nt work. This one is simple , it is awesome to track how long you fast, I find myself saying go one more hour , then I do it again. I have dropped 14 pounds so far. The only issue I have is my trends seem to be stuck on averaging 8 hrs a day. I am in fact fasting between 16 & 18 hrs a day.

Great app, simple and just what you need.

Switched from Zero. Nice to have a simple app with a timer that works. It's free, doesn't make me create a login that I don't want, doesn't collect/mine my personal info and the inability to adjust start and stop timers I've found keeps me honest to my fasts. Also, I don't have to know how long the fast is supposed to be. Often, I don't know, it's nice to just be able to start it and stop it without some meaningless predefined goal that has to be entered.

Honestly, way better Zero, and I wont be going back.

Amazing value!

FastingTrackerDietApp is free and serves its purpose. I use it for few weeks already and haven’t run into any trouble. It does what it needs, here are some suggestions to make it even better:
1. Display projected time when fasting will end / start. I found I often add time to current hour to estimate when should I start preparing meal.
2. The average fasting time could be more accurate (not just hours, it could also display minutes and seconds). Reason for that is it is pretty hard to track progress.
Thanks for the great app!
