Signed up for two people for a volleyball game. 14 people signed up on the app so I was expecting a good turnout. Showed up and only 7 people came, which isn’t the app/team fault. Where it went wrong was the Host, Jorge Saucedo, did not show up to the game at all for the ENTIRE night. We had no liaison and no one to talk to to ask questions as to what will happen now since only half the people showed up. I ended up talking to the facility people to ask how we could solve it, but they couldn’t do anything about it because the Host, Jorge, wasn’t there.

This happened June 30. I’ve been following up with Jorge still to this day and he only responded once. He did apologize, but left me on seen and hasn’t done anything about it.

App is often bugged, number of players often exceed the limit assigned per game. Information on games are constantly incorrect and you end up paying money to show up at a location to be turned away by the facilities and the best they can do is say sorry it won’t happen again and hold your money in the app. Would not recommend using this platform to play pickup if are above intermediate in the sports you play as the skill levels they assign are arbitrary and is a safety hazard. They load the apps with bots in hopes players sign up and you will constantly get bombed with the “promotions” to those games so I highly recommend turning off push notifications if you decide to use this app.

Update: met some older host through leagues who no longer wish to host as this problem has been an issue for years and no action has been taken and constant giving empty promises. It’s clear they rely on pure volume of people that come in and out of the cities. The only “major” changes I’ve seen from this app is an updated feedback section that they barely read and adding new Asian bot names that may come off as offensive to some. I would love to lower my rating more but 1 star is the lowest I can go. Absolute waste of time and their responses are just copy and pastes over and over again with occasional “free” promo codes that may or may not have been already claimed by someone.

I went to the gym with my boyfriend in Bedstuy to watch him play. As a visitor the staff yelled at me and was extremely harsh when I was in no way a threat to her or the facility. They say I can’t stay with my dog. No problem I left. But then they said he couldn’t play.

The service was overall very horrible. They were very unclear as to the reason why he was not allowed to play when he was in fact asked to be the host. From that encounter I left so that my boyfriend could play since we traveled. The lady threatened to call the cops while noting they had a great relationship when really I was just trying to understand why he could no longer play. Now Just Play has banned him without reason. Hes booked the app over 20 times in four months with no issues. Bad experience (referring to NY)
