FreeCell Classic Card Game Reviews

I can’t think of any reason this is good. Too many things needed that could make it so much better.
1) the gear/tools button doesn’t work. Tap tap tap tap nothing. Just sits there.
2) no hint button. Why?... every card game has a hint button. We need a hint button.
3) the lag is painful. It’ll just sit for ever and does not do anything then suddenly several moves at once. It is NOT my device. Never had a problem with any other game ever.
4) some light music would be nice.
5) when you want to move a stack and it’s too many cards a bar flashes on the bottom and sits there for too long. Why not just have the stack not stick. Just have it go back to the original stack. I think we’d get the idea that the move we want to make won’t work.

I do like the game but this version needs too much work to keep. Sry guys :/

Oh after reason some of the other reviews.. apparently political ads have been popping up. It’s the time of year... it’s not like the game is supporting one side or the other. But I believe games should only have ads for other games. Not tv shows or politics or anything else.

And for the people saying ‘oh it’s so different’ and whatever... I have played this game for literally decades since I was a kid. It’s not different clearly these people just need to get out more.

I’ve happily played this game for years, but recently there are ads that behave like a virus and flip you out of the middle of the game to a browser window to push the “you’ve won” crap. Then flipping back, it often immediately displays a second ad that overtakes the entire window.

I wouldn’t mind if they resumed confine ads to the little banner ads, but even then there is the migraine-inducing faux, flashing message indicator ad.

This game is not worth the hassle. Don’t download.

I just downloaded the game, and it asked for a rating. Fine I gave it a 5 star. Then right after the next game, it’s pushing solitaire. I hit cancel, and it takes me to the download page. Look, all I wanted to do was play FreeCell, without the hassle of ads. Came back and 1 starred this.

I love this game, but since the last update with the “bug fixes” my game constantly freezes. Thankfully, even though I can’t play - I can’t watch the banner ads at the top of the screen, because they don’t freeze. It’s so frustrating that I’ve stopped playing - please fix!!!

When I first started playing this game, primarily Freecell, the adds weren’t bad. But that has changed. Adds are now full screen, too long, annoying, and in most instances the sound cannot be disabled completely. Also, quite often, the add locks up the iPhone where you either have to turn the phone off or even sometimes perform a restart. However, you can always pay a monthly payment for no adds.

I used to love this game. Rarely did it have a commercial. Now, you get one in between every game and if you see it is impossible to win and want to start a new game you have to watch more commercials. For a basic game it is not worth the commercials, besides the ones that are always running along the top of the game.

I truly enjoy Free cell and have often played it multiple times day and night. However, I really miss the older versions, I find the newer versions more difficult and less enjoyable. I continue to hope you return to a version that challenges me to think without adding frustrations to distract from legitimate challenges

This would be the best FreeCell app on iOS if there were an option to remove ads. I would gladly pay a one time $5 fee to get rid of them.

All I have to say is it’s constantly running ad after ad while you play, so if you go long enough, your phone will begin to heat up and slow down. I’ve done some tests to confirm it’s the ads causing this problem, and good for them making bank, but it’d be nice if they could chill for two seconds so my phone can keep up.

Otherwise simple, no frills, spider solitaire.

I love the game. I want to be able to see if I can solve every puzzle though. Unfortunately, sometimes when I choose to restart the game and I don’t touch “new”, I touch “replay”, it will give me a completely different game layout. That’s not “replay”. I will be looking for a different app that allows me to replay the same game board unless this is fixed quickly.

To those who gave a bad review because the game would only let them move a limited number of cards:
That is one of the rules of the game. You are limited by the number of free cells. Hence the name, Freecell. Please learn the game rules before leaving negative reviews.

I really do enjoy FreeCellClassicCardGame but I do not like the limited number of cards you can move from one stack to another. If the cards are all in descending order, I don’t understand why I can’t simply move the whole stack.

I was happy to find a place to play free cell for free. I personally don’t like the “time” feature. I play while eating dinner and waste time with cutting up food and taking pills. I place a piece of paper over the timer.

I love the game. Would it be possible to show the game number and its game difficulty rating? I would like to ignore easy games. I would also like to replay difficult games.

My favorite FreeCell game has been discontinued. FreeCellClassicCardGame they want me to upgrade to is a solitaire game. Obviously they don’t know the difference between FreeCell and solitaire. No thank you, very happy to find FreeCellClassicCardGame.

It’s been a while since I have played FreeCell but I will get back on track soon. It’s truly a fun and challenging game

I recently found this game . Had never played it before. It’s nice to have a game that requires strategy and concentration. Bravo

The old app I used started ad-free but then forced you to watch an add to start a new game unless you pay a subscription every month. FreeCellClassicCardGame was the first I used afterward and it’s been a wonderful experience! No ads and the UI is great.
