I LOVE Sward and Scale!! Mike, I have never written a review before so that must mean something!! Your podcast is great, you really make the listener feel like your in the episode, like you know the people behind the screen! I have alway been intrigued by true crime! Growing up I use to LOVE Rescue 911! My dad and I use to watch it late at night and my mom would always make my dad shut it off because I would have nightmares!! Lol. I came across this podcast a few years ago and can’t get enough! I quickly became a Plus member and went through every episode there was! I’m now starting over from season 1 and going through all 8 seasons again!! Thank you for all your hard work and everyone else that works behind the scenes! I work 45 minutes from home and ALWAYS look forward o the ride so I can listen!!! Keep them coming!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Sword and scale is by far the best podcast I have ever listened to. I love the details, the interviews, the 911 calls, the music, the families thoughts, and all the other fabulous things they do with this podcast. The best of all is Mike! He has the sexiest voice on earth! I love his comments, his joking side, his serious side, his caring side! He’s so amazing with his interviews. Several times he has said things that just touch me right to my soul. I have binged listened to your show. I’m obsessed. I can’t get enough! I listen to you in the morning while I get ready for work. I listen on my way to work. I listen at work when I can. I listen at lunch. I listen after work and driving home. I listen when getting ready for bed and showering. I listen when I go shopping. Keep up the great work. I love love love your show!

You guys have an app! OMG I am loving this. I just signed up for S&S Plus. I had just finished listening to Episode 161 Apple Podcasts and it looks like the continuation to that episode is Episode 67 on S&S Plus, so I’m curious to know if on S&S Plus, episodes 1-66 are continuations of other ‘regular’ episodes or are they stand alone episodes? Either way, I’m super excited about SwordAndScale ! Congratulations.

I was puzzled about which membership to select so I chose the $5 one and figured I’d compare them at a later time. So here’s my million dollar idea...You guys should create Tier Memberships!

I used to visit casinos a lot, B.C. (Before COVID-19/Before Coronavirus). There’s nothing more exciting than being upgraded from Select Member to Premiere Member or from Pearl to Diamond, etc.

I am always looking for True crime podcasts to listen to. Unfortunately for the other podcasts, S&S has set the bar so high that none can compare! The others do not have Mike’s melodious voice. Other podcasts cause you to suffer through the speakers monotone, and or obnoxious regional accent or gives their own immature opinion as to what they think was going on. Like some kid in his parents basement actually knows what an emotionally stunted person is thinking. But then again maybe they do…..and you are unable to focus on the storyline. Instead you begin to plot your own true crime against that reader. But I digress. S&S tells each story in way that you are invested in it and for that I say thank you Mike!

Love S&S! I have listened to all the free episodes, just bought a years subscription today. Amazing.... so much content... only 6 PLUS episodes deep, but all six have been amazing, a tad bit shorter than than the full episodes sofar, but no commercials and sofar they all have been great true crime stories that I didn’t know about. Not to mention all of the raw interviews you can access from all the popular episodes. Overall all, I feel like I got more extra content then I can consume within a year. And sofar the quality has been far above what I expected. If your thinking of taking the plunge to become a supporter, I would highly recommend you do so, you won’t be disappointed!

S&S is by far my favorite podcast and when SwordAndScale came out I got so excited. I love the artwork and layout and truly appreciate all the hard work that went into this development.
I’ve started over from beginning and am loving it. I also want Mike to know what I love the most is when he is interviewing someone you can tell he really truly listens and feels everything. Most others just half listen and are mostly just preparing their own thought to add. I think you do a great job Mike and your team is excellent. Well done. I hope to hear many more episodes although that may make me sound sadistic. Ok so if all murderous crime come to a halt ending your podcasts I guess I will be ok with that. Lol

I have been a listener for a long time now. This is the best crime podcast I have ever listened to. I am on my third time around re listening to all of it over again. I’m an officer here in Michigan and I’ve either been apart of several investigations talked about from my home state or heard of through our chain. It’s so intriguing and interesting to hear it from mike. Great voice for this and he does such an amazing job making you feel like you are watching a movie.... without watching one. Perfect for midnight shift on slow days. Thank you for this I recommend you to everyone at work and my friends. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely love Sword and Scale! Having an app for my favorite podcast is so convenient. I always tell people about this podcast and my weird obsession with serial killer podcasts, movies, etc! Mike does a really great job putting on an entertaining show and narrating what’s going on. I’ve listened to other podcasts that are either boring/flat or the sound of the persons voice narrating just wasn’t for me. But Mike’s voice is perfect for this type of podcast! Thanks for all of the hard work that I know goes into this show! My husband and I both love it and listen to it regularly. So glad I decided to become a subscriber!

This is amazing! I love having the whole library at my disposal. It’s so much better than using a podcast app. I love how it’s divided into seasons. It’s great that you can make a playlist and essential save your favorite episodes. You can download episodes which is another great feature. If I could make one tweak to SwordAndScale I would make it easier to search for a particular episode. The artwork is helpful to a point, and the tiny pull down button on the artwork is helpful but tedious. So some kind of search function, or list, or describer would be helpful. Otherwise I love it!

I wish I could speed up the podcast to 1 1/4 like on apple podcasts or smaller increments that are offered behind the paywalls of other podcast apps, I figure since one has to pay to listen to the content it would be nice if the content could be sped up to 1.1 or 1.2 or even have the trim silence capability. I like to listen on the sword and scale app because apple podcast app is garbage and is constantly disconnecting from my Bluetooth headphones for no reason, I have never had a single issue with my normal podcast app.(overcast) but I can’t listen to plus on that app., that being said I love the content but that is my one gripe.

I couldn’t log in, episodes weren’t showing up, it was frustrating. I submitted reports to the support and everything seems to be working perfectly now.

I am super glad they have added sword and scale rewind. I never listened to it before but I’ve binged all of the episodes on SwordAndScale and have jumped over to Apple podcasts to listen to the rest, jumping back and forth listening to older original S&S episodes and rewind. I’m obsessed and really wish rewind was still around for current episodes!!!

Member thought I’d crave a podcast. Mike’s voice is incredible and his sarcasm towards all the haters is wonderful - then he brings a show that blows my mind. I love that he plays actual 911 calls and doesn’t just talk obnoxiously. I binged alllllll of the episodes when I first started (there were a ton of episodes) in 4 weeks while I was working. I was sooooo sad to catch up so I started paying to get the plus episodes lol! Love this podcast! It’s my favorite for sure! Thank you mike and all those behind the scenes for such an amazing look into the true crime world!

The only Podcast I can listen to everyday. My husband listens to a lot of True CrimePodcasts but I hate all of them. It’s not amusing when hosts chat too much during the story or the 2nd host is always chiming in as #1 host is talking with a “yeah” “mmhmm” “I agree”. It drives in insane. Mike being the only host on Sword and Scale is the best! He tells it like it is and let’s us hear the facts, interrogations, court hearings without all the useless host chatter. I want the facts of the case and I want to be a pretend detective, Sword and Scale is the answer.

I have been a listener of S&S for over a year now and while their web interface wasn’t the most simple and efficient, it did the job. HOWEVER, SwordAndScale has been such a wonderful upgrade! You’re able to pick up on episodes where you left off, you can leave comments and it’s much easier to navigate. I’m a PLUS member and having the in-app notifications when a new episode drops is so handy. 10/10, couldn’t recommend more

I’ve been around since the very 1st season and I’ll be here till the end! I have tired and tried to find others like it but there just isn’t. I love it so much I even do a monthly subscription so I have access to all the cool stuff. SwordAndScale is so convenient and there just isn’t enough awesome stuff to say about this podcast. I love it and I tricky appreciate all the time and effort put into it. I know it’s not easy what so ever but I’m grateful!

I’ve listened to S&S for years and have witnessed the changes they have had to go through with different platforms. 1. They are my favorite podcast and by far the best true crime podcast (although I love LPOTL). 2. They have put so much work into having their own app and growing into such a successful podcast. I recently became a Plus member and already went through all the episodes (quarantine) which just solidified how easy SwordAndScale is to use. 10/10

I love this podcast, I LOVE Mike!!!! Mike presents us with the worst true-crime stories with dignity and compassion to/for the victims and the victims’ family & friends. I went through several different true-crime podcasts and was always unamused, and found most hosts disrespectful and degrading when it came to discussing the crimes. Mike is classy, yet funny (when appropriate). Mike’s approach is “no holds barred” with the graphic details, yet always responsible and respectful. I LOVE YOU MIKE, and staff!!!!

2 years, TWO YEARS, it took me to commit to a paid subscription. I kept going back and forth on which true crime podcast I’d finally choose to subscribe to. I’d only allow myself one since it’s my guilt pleasure so believe me much thought went into it. S&S definitely won me over. This is by far the best true crime podcast out there. Hands down! 👏🏽👏🏽 Excited to be part of the S&S community now.

I have listened to many podcasts, not just about true crime, covering many interests. Mike, in my opinion, is the best presenter of information I have heard in a podcast.

You can tell he really cares about the subject matter he’s covering, avoiding the repetition in vocals that many presenters seem to have a problem with.

His team is also exceptional at creating an atmosphere with the effects and music used. Not to mention SwordAndScale , website and decent subscription deals.

This is the first podcast I have paid to support, Sword and Scale has upped the game of true crime podcasting and it’s hard to listen to anything else.

Thanks for continuing to offer a high quality free podcast along side your paid plus episodes.

Sooo excited about the new app! I’m addicted to S&S and this makes it soooo much easier. You’ll never miss a new episode and it’s much easier to navigate than when using my usual podcast app. If you love true crime and aren’t offended by the nitty gritty details..this is hands down, the BEST!!!!!

SwordAndScale is great! I love how easy it is to navigate and how organized everything is. It’s super easy to go back and find older episodes.
