When trying to sign up for the C19 DXB Smart app, I am able to change the phone number to my US 1- 8326614278 but with repeated trys, never receive the code

C19 DXB Smart

This is, hands down, the worst app I have had to use. It is supposedly used to record PCR testing at DXB airport, but I was unable to pre-fill the required information for my flight from Jakarta. The test was eventually (42 hours later) able to link to my test (but results were not yet available) — only after I used my VPN to link back to Indonesia. I could not see any link from my hotel link within Dubai. That being said, once I had the VPN linked to Indonesia, I tried to pre-fill for a fake trip with my same flight numbers, but one week later. It almost worked, until I got to the scan of my visa. Since I am a US citizen with US passport, I don’t need or have a visa. Even though it accepted the scan of my passport, it still required me to manually enter all the data from the passport. Is this a test of honesty? Or typing competence? I could not get further than the visa scan page, but I tried a scan of my Indonesian wife’s visa. The app shut down after I manually entered the visa info and hit “continue”. I was never able to finish the form. I am just hoping I can get my wife’s and my PCR test results, as we have been in hotel quarantine for 44 hours with our two rambunctious boys (ages 2 and 4), and they are going crazy!!!

App not user friendly

To be honest the concept is great but the app has so many flaws that it’s impossible to use. We took our COVID Test and we’re told the result would come to the app. The app never loaded our results so we had to go on to the DHA site. The document it provided was not valid for travel so we had to come back to the testing facility. Turns out our MRN numbers were not correct and had to be replaced. Biggest headache if you can take your test early before the day of your flight if not your stay may be extended.

Needs a lot of work

Took 5 days for an automated response to my fiancé who wrote in asking about his symptoms and asking whether or not he should seek medical attention. There is also no back button when you are registering, so if you mis-type anything bc you are sick and disoriented, you can’t change it The app Needs a lot of work. Just because “there’s an app for that” doesn’t mean it’s helpful. The only thing this really seems to do is allow DHA to track your quarantine time and ensure you don’t leave the house with a phone.
