Does not display well on the watch

CalendarTimeline would be okay but it can’t be displayed in the center of the “Modular” watch face which is why I bought it. Every other face that it CAN be displayed in cuts off the words after just a few characters.

I bought this because Apple Watch always displays the NEXT task instead of the current task. CalendarTimeline has a toggle to display the ongoing task which makes way more sense.

Unfortunately this might be more of a shortcoming of the Apple Watch and less a failure of CalendarTimeline itself. Nonetheless, I can’t recommend it as it doesn’t effectively perform in actual use. Kinda wish it was on phone iOS as well because it has some neat features.

Love the idea, but calendars not showing

I love the idea of CalendarTimeline but I don’t have the option to have my actual calendar show up in active calendars as of right now I can only see Birthdays and US Holidays as active calendars

No “Utility” watch face support…

There is no utility of CalendarTimeline available within the “Utility” watch face complications…

Which is such a shame given that it *is* available as bezel text on the “Infograph” watch face — there are many of us just prefer the cleaner appearance of the “Utility” watch face…

Need clarification

The stuck timeline is fixed but I’m not sure what the difference fixed, dynamic and moving is. Nothing seems to change when I switch between them.

Almost perfect!

CalendarTimeline is so wonderful for me to keep track of events/reminders upcoming for the day.

I have two suggestions that would make it for sure a 5 star review!

1. Give the ability to increase text size. My eyes are getting older!

2. Have reminders with no due time show up the same way all day events show, instead of as a due time of 12:00a. I never see those because I’m asleep!

Overall, it’s a wonderfully fair priced app and it has been great for the past few years!

great idea & promising app

Calendar Timeline’s rolling visualization is a fantastic way to make the most of the large center Complication in the Infograph Modular Watch Face. it’s WAY more useful than Apple’s own calendar Complication.

the UI still needs some tweaking for usability/readability, but the developer is responsive and considerate of user feedback.

Calendar Timeline is a promising app that has earned its place center stage on my daily Watch Face.

Awesome app

Insane app and utility on the Apple Watch. Developer has clearly already done a ton of great work adding customization and tweaks for users. I love that I can then a bunch of things on and off or change between the number of days to show. Great design.

Would love to see a wider complication on the series 10. In the modular duo watch face it doesn’t take up the full width unfortunately, so we’re losing some width for overflowing event titles. (Height seems to be correctly maxed out.)

Also would be great if duplicate calendar entries across calendars could be dealt with more elegantly. (calendar events with identical names). As of right now they both show up, but in many calendar apps they are combined.

Anyway, still a 6/5 star complication. Just hope the dev continues to make a few quality of life updates.

5 Stars

CalendarTimeline does work with modular on my Apple Watch Series 6 for those wondering 👍

Great app people with slight ADHD who want to see a visual timeline of their day!

As other reviews mentioned, be sure to tap the “Fixed” setting button and rotate the wheel on your watch to change settings. Just play around with all the settings for 20 minutes and you will get the hang of it.

For the “Text Over Complication” setting, I would like to see an option for “Time left in current event” or “time until next event”.
If it’s not possible, I totally understand and have other apps that can do that for a corner complication.

This is a feature I’ve always wanted

I’ve always wished calendar / fantastical had a horizontal timeline view for widgets / watch, and only heard about CalendarTimeline after seeing it posted on Reddit.

A wishlist item: it would be amazing to have this supported on home screen and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone as well.

nice!

for only a couple of dollars, i’m getting the functionality i wanted (show reminders and calendar events together in a watch complication), AND it is more useful (shows text of reminders) than the much more expensive alternative i tried. so i’m happy! only advice to the dev is to include some instructions somewhere.

Does not work on WatchOS 9.1

App does not work on WatchOS 9.1. I have deleted, reinstalled refreshed and everything. The furthest I was able to get once was to allowing CalendarTimeline access to my calendar and reminders, and then it crashed. Nothing presented on the complication, no way to view in the watch.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL FIXED!

Uninstall and Reinstall

If you’re having issues following an update, as I did, uninstall CalendarTimeline and reinstall it from CalendarTimeline Store on your watch. I had to do this twice before iOS let me grant CalendarTimeline Full Access in Settings>Privacy & Security>Calendars.

*Got the New Series 9 and app does not show up*

I purchased this on my previous watch and now that I have new Series 9 watch CalendarTimeline does not show up on my watch. I would reach out to Developer— but his site appears to be in German

What Apple’s Calendar complication should be

This is exactly what Apple’s Calendar complication should be. It gives you a view of you entire day schedule, making it easier for you to track your availability.

Put today’s list in list

My son’s school assignments are set at 12am from the school so by the day it is considered “expired” and won’t show up in the list when you click the complication. Can you show today’s details too in the list? Thank you.

Amazing and still the best

Best widget on my watch. Now if Apple would allow 3rd party watch faces! What I really want is a round style face with analog hands and blocks that show upcoming events for the day. Great job on this widget! Well worth the money.

The BEST Apple Watch Complication

10/10 this has been one of the most productive calendar apps I have ever used. I work two different jobs on an appointment basis so having the actual times and events on my apple watch face by default makes seeing where I need to go a breeze. I would not change a thing. The price was more than fair - I am grateful this is not a subscription based model but just a fixed price. I tell everyone with an apple watch about this complication.

The Best App for Festivals

Honestly all you need for festivals set times.
I’m so happy I found your Reddit post. I am a big fan of the Moving graph. I did find it very difficult to realize I had to use my dial to scroll up and down to get out of Fixed graph. I thought Fixed was the only option, I know CalendarTimeline description describes different modes but I couldn’t figure out how to change it. But I did it eventually. This is going to affect my planning significantly. This is just pure magic. I’m full of joy.

Best Watch Calenday

This is by far the best calendar at for Apple Watch. It works great with the Watch complications and shows just what you need to see. Cannot live without CalendarTimeline.

Best app on my watch !

So I’ve had the Apple Watch since it came out and I have been searching for that one app that would truly make my day better and more efficient. While some of the apps out there or the ones that come installed are nice, I consider most of them more of a gimmick than something that can be an essential part of daily life….. Well this is it. I think that most will universally agree that the calendar app is seriously lacking and it is Impossible to use at a glance.
Since the watches invention I have wanted a calendar as a complication and to have something I can glance at and see everything I have in my day. This is it !!
It appears very well thought out and can have up to 3 days at a time view with text, or up to 7days without.
There are multiple other ways to set it up but this is now the center piece of my watch. Can’t be more excited to finally have this !!

Features

The big graph complication / widget only runs with Apple Watch Series 4 and higher (high detail watch faces like Modular Duo, Infograph Modular or Infograph Compact watch faces).

For watchOS only apps you need to open AppStore on your watch itself and search for calendar timeline to re-download the app.

With the Calendar Timeline App for watchOS you'll get a nice overview of the calendar entries within the next seven days – also reminder for today and earlier are supported in one single app.

The app comes with a set of complications – also with a nice big complication for Modular Duo and Infograph Modular watch faces.

MDM (company) managed devices may do not provide calendar data even when granted access since watchOS only apps cannot read MDM profiles.
