4 Most reported problems 😔💔
Have sold my Smooth Q3 but buyer cannot register or upgrade firmware as the ZY Cami app as it gives an error message "the device is linked to another account". How do I or the new owner resolve this issue.
Good device horrible software

The device meets all the needs i was looking for when shopping around, however the software required to utilize all functions is horrible. The fact that you have to share your location to even use the app is a huge red flag.
On the bright side the device does work as intended and has limited functionality with stock and third party camera apps, you just end up losing some of the convenience oriented features such as quick swapping between front/rear cameras.
Overall I plan to continue to use the device with the stock iOS camera app and some other third party apps, however when I am in the market for a replacement I will be looking elsewhere.

For having great product, no…you do not need the app to run this. Bluetooth is all you need. Sure SOME features don’t work without the app but why would an App need access to everything? Your microphone, your photos, your location, your data…literally everything. I’m unsure how Apple allowed something like this on their App Store with all of the issues with hacking and identity theft going on today. I do NOT recommend downloading this app for any reason because they do not need your information to use an accessory. Just turn on your Bluetooth and connect and it should start working once it’s paired.

The app is broken. A lot of times now it’s give “unknown” error message. It won’t record and the phone screen freezes. Every time this happened I have to force close the app which is very frustrating as it happened while you’re in the middle of recording or just about to start recording. Devices I used are Zhiyun Smooth 5 and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Planning to return the gimbal if the app problems persists.
