Oil Painting Reviews

My only major complaint about OilPainting is that I’m not able to share my completed pics to FB and I have tried everything!!!! It would say pic Posted or something but then it stays stuck on the black screen with the notice its been posted. Of course when i cancel it out it doesnt share the pic!!! I am mad because i love coloring these pics they are beautiful and i love to share them. But none or less I have DLed the pics to my iphone’s photo album and uploaded the complete pic from my iphone album to Facebook. It is irritating otherwise but i can get the completed pic up on FB. I sure hope this stupid bug gets fixed soon!!

I like some aspects of it but it really needs to offer new collections and new pictures more often. They make it easy to earn points but there are seldom any new collections to spend those points on. Should have at least 10 new pictures daily and new collections at least twice a week. Then I would give it a 5.

OilPainting opened fine for a week, now it times out so haven’t been able to access it for 2 days. I enjoy how the color fills in and the speed. However, there are too many icons around the image so the only way to reach areas to color is to enlarge it, which isn’t necessary to do on an iPad. I’ll give OilPainting another couple of days in hopes that the bugs are fixed then decide if it’s one I delete or not. When a picture is complete, it should read CONGRATULATIONS with an S on the end. Using correct vocabulary is a pet peeve of mine. Thanks

Make hints smaller ...more picture exposed...less likely to hit & become frustrated....also tired of all the stars popping up...I just want to color pictures,that’s why I downloaded OilPainting... I DO love your choice of pictures! More new pictures each day….more abstract pictures….tired of animal and people pictures….still love the pictures you give us overall

On another paint by number app I found out I could pres down on the number in the picture and get the color. I like OilPainting but I wish I could press the number on the picture for the color instead of swisgng through the numbers at the bottom of the picture.

I very much enjoy OilPainting, just got it the other day. Only two issues- I would pay for the “no ads” option, but I never see a link or the option to do so. Also, I’m having a horrible time getting the picture to hold still..when I’m tapping on an area that I’m coloring, it keeps enlarging the picture and moving it so catching it to color can be problematic...can that be fixed?

I like OilPainting , although it takes a while to boot up all the photos. When going to “ my work” to continue your painting sometimes the screen will go black and you have to start reload again. Just seams slow in these parts. It would be great if you could fix it. But love OilPainting , having a good time with it.

Still having trouble with this site and the photos booting up or just turning screen black. Please fix big!!!

This is a pretty good app. It works well. The problem is there are way to many ads, as well as at least 3 things that annoyingly pop up while you are using it. Not sure what we are supposed to do with them but stick them out of the way in a corner, not middle of screen. I would also prefer to pay a little for OilPainting & hints than be subjected to all this.

I love this game. There is so many options. I also love that they give you free gem offers. Even though I wish there was a people category because they are only colorings of people in some of the theme packs. But this game is definitely a five star! Keep up the good work!

When u try to play on a iPhone or Apple it will crash before even showing you all the pictures to color then it takes u back to your phone Home Screen ‼️❗️ pls fix thx but besides that amazing game 🤩👍🏻😊

This game is amazing you get a bunch of themes and it is not super hard to find stuff you earn diamonds super easy and you really want those because the more diamonds the more themes you get!! If you like color by numbers this is the best it can get! It is so relaxing I hope this helped!!

I paid for the premium “remove ads,” but there are still pictures that are not available to me without watching ads. The theme pictures are not available until I either “earn” enough points or buy them. Misleading advertising.

Update: instructions weren’t clear. Even tho the picture has ad attached to it, if I click on the pix and then click on the watch ad banner, it bypasses the ad and takes me to the pictures. I still have to earn points to open themes but there are plenty of chances given while painting.

One small suggestion. When coloring on my iPad some of the pictures take up almost the whole screen and it is hard to get to some of the spaces that are behind the arrow to go back to the menu and the settings tab on the other side. That is inconvenient. One other thing is sometimes the picture on the screen just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Fixing those bugs would be nice.

I’m not even gonna lie, some of these ratings are good and bad mixed reviews! I just started playing this game a few hours ago and I love it. Ads are fine and come up every once in a while but it isn’t too bad! Super relaxing and cute pictures to choose from! Will be playing this game!! :))

I find these to be stress relievers. I do want to bring up that I have had one picture that I finished, but because it had to sets of the same numbers (1,1 2,2 ...) it says I am 50% done, but the picture is complete.
I also unlocked a theme, and it tells me that I am not connected to the internet, but I am and it will not let me use that theme.
These are minor issues for me as there is still so much to do in here. If they got fixed it would make it even better, if not, I won’t stop using this.

That when one taps the entire color comes up rather than PART. other games makes one tap several times to get the entire color come up. You let one change to blue or pink dots. That’s different. I am 90 and I play many hours each day. I have yet to find out IF you offer lots of NEW pictures,Lots meaning more than 4 or 5. New ones.

It’s fun but ever since it got updated there been an problem. Every time you share the pictures it shares but won’t go back to OilPainting to let you continue. I deleted it and brought it back thinking it will fix it. But it didn’t and know I have no pictures completed and have to start to coloring all over again. Please fix the sharing problem

OilPainting fails to open once you acquire a lot of rewards. This has happened three times before and now it is doing it again. If you reinstall OilPainting , all of your rewards disappear. Why bother with a paid subscription when you lose everything that you have amassed. I have used it for free and with paying for it only to get the same results.

I just got OilPainting today and have already colored a number of pictures. I just love it! The only thing I’d like to see is some more difficult pictures. I am an art major and just love to color just for relaxation but really love a good challenge. The fact that I’ve already done a number of pictures on the first day makes me fear I will go through your app in no time. Besides that I love how smooth everything runs. Great App. Just more pictures and more difficult.

I love OilPainting. You don’t have to have a subscription to get the coloring pages. They turn out gorgeous and they are relatively easy to do. I read a few reviews that say that the game glitches a lot but I haven’t had a problem so far.
Update: so it was great before the update but now it crashes when I try to save pictures and won’t let me go back to my gallery and save them. It doesn’t do the animation at the end it just sits there.
Put it back to the way it was.

This is so fun!!!!! Very addicting!
The color layers so when you think an area is complete you are pleasingly surprised to find it is not. The colors are intense and the art so beautiful it is a challenge to even choose which one to work on.
You can also earn gems to open new pictures! Wonderful!
It runs smoothly- no glitches
