This is by far one of the best wallpaper curation apps I’ve used. The designs are always clean, sharp and high quality. They’re displayed in a great way, and I’ve had a lot of fun picking out my favorite designs. I don’t think I’ve ever used an app like this where I was able to find so many designs that I loved immediately! That being said, there are a couple of things that need to be improved: I use this on both my iPhone and iPad and I wish there was a “size” category for each of these. It would make finding options for my iPad easier. Also, I don’t mind the ads, but every now and then I get an ad for a loan vendor that doesn’t go away. I can’t click out of the ad and it stays stuck on the screen until I close Backdrops and restart it. Kinda annoying.

I really like Backdrops for its fantastic, high-quality wallpapers and clear, easy-to-use interface. However, I have noticed that while Using Backdrops , my iPhone gets extremely and excessively hot – hotter than I have ever felt it while using any app. And, looking at the battery statistics, it seems to consume a lot of system resources.

Those two issues are a major concern to me; I am concerned that continued use of Backdrops will damage the battery in my iPhone. I very much hope the developers are able to fix this soon, because otherwise Backdrops is really fantastic.

When entering Backdrops you are offered a pro subscription and if you don’t use it then you still have many options for wallpapers to use. Most of the wallpapers are in 1080P resolution but it still looks very nice on for your background. It gives you a roomful of options such as abstracts, nature, animals , food smiled, even picks out your favorite color aesthetic.

So far there hasn’t been an app with more wallpapers that fits my taste than this. Only thing that bugs me sometimes is that a lot of wallpapers have a preview in a wider aspect ratio which would fit perfectly for an iPad but when I download it it’s the standard portrait aspect cutting out a lot of the sides which for an iPad doesn’t work at all. Is there a option to download the actual full size wallpaper rather than the one tailored for standard phone screens?

First of all this is by far the best background app I've found and I love it. Literally my only suggestion would be if I could search for specific creators so I can see all their stuff in one place. Also "Kxnt" whoever that is, makes amazing artwork and I want all of it!

A well designed app and an excellent source of wallpapers. There’s enough variety to satisfy most users, but not as much choice as you might get with other sources that have larger, more active contributors. The only real negative to using Backdrops is lack of true iPad support, in that there is no landscape mode and most of the walls are seemingly designed with the portrait aspect in mind.

Backdrops never fails to have an amazing selection of backgrounds/wallpapers that look absolutely stunning on my phone. Every day I switch out my background for the wall of the day! Thanks for making such an awesome app!

The wallpapers here are great, they really are, I just wish I could download them. Now yes there is a download button, but it just gives me an error. Also, half of the pictures don’t load. I don’t know if this is part of an update that made something go wrong, or if it’s my wifi connection. But please fix this!

I’ve missed Backdrops since I switched to IOS and I’m glad to see it again. Backdrops has amazing wallpapers and Backdrops is clean and easy to use. If you’re into clean wallpapers give Backdrops a try.

It’s really amazing, I saw some of the wallpapers, especially Meditate! I immediately added that. Would love to see more of that! And I see some several ones but they are Pro. But wow Backdrops is beautiful. Very simple too! 💖

By far. I don't know how Backdrops is so unrecognized.

If you're looking for a simple wallpaper app that doesn't incessantly bug you with ads and has good quality backgrounds, this is what you want.

This is a fantastic app with some beautiful wallpapers- one request: please add landscape support for iPad- that’s the way many of us use our iPads these days. Other than that, I highly recommend Backdrops as a wonderful source of beautiful wallpapers.

Backdrops is sooo good! Wallpapers are beautiful and artistic, high quality, and there’s a wonderful variety. One thing Backdrops needs is a preview screen for wallpapers. Specific to each device. Besides that Backdrops is wonderful beyond comprehension. Love it!!!!!!!!!

On latest iOS update, free version of app now only loads a bunch of panels for a Weather app ad, and gets stuck when trying to load any categories.

Can’t tell if it’s a bug or a joke. Whatever the case, didn’t make me feel at all more likely to pay for it (or to get the weather app). Back to Unsplash!

Backdrops is fantastic. From someone who spends a lot of time digging through the web for walls for my iPhone 11 Pro Max, Backdrops may have just been the fix. Awesome walls. Awesome, clean UI. Just praise all around.

I also purchased the pro version ~ and there are many nice good wallpaper that i can download it from the pro pack👍

I use Backdrops daily……I love the way it looks on my iOS device….keep it up and looking forward to new updates coming up…..

I love Backdrops and wallpapers, but when I purchased pro Backdrops does not register my purchase. It inconsistently tells me to purchase pro when I click on pro wallpapers even though I’ve already purchased it. Otherwise a great app, deserving of 5 stars.

Backdrops is the light at the end of that tunnel which we won't speak about here. Backdrops is what we've all been hoping for.

This is a great diverse collection of this app. Figuring I didn’t even have a backdrop before Backdrops I’ve been changing regularly. Best thing it’s free! Highly recommend

I love Backdrops: clean, simple and easy to use.

I change my wallpaper regularly and this app makes it so much easier to find the best curated ones 👍

Just a small enhancement suggestions:
- it would be better if we could preview the whole image no just a square part of it;
- make it possible to zoom in/out;
- add iPhone (homescreen / lockscreen) previews.

Other than that it’s a great app, and it could be better with some improvements.

I purchased the pro version which gets rid of ads and gives access to special wallpaper packs but I’m still getting ads and can’t access special wallpapers. I’ve tried using the restore purchase button but all I get is a spinning loading animation and it never does anything. I’ve sent 2 emails through Backdrops help section and have yet to hear back.
