Bitdefender VPN: Fast & Secure Reviews

So this came with the antivirus package and after switching from kaspersky their vpn will not connect to my works wifi and there is nothing I can do to fix it after going through bitdefender support. This wouldn’t be a big deal except that kaspersky vpn can connect, nord vpn can connect, proton vpn can connect. So to be selling a service that is more finicky than any other would also make one wonder where else can it not connect and become 100% useless. They seem to have more support articles on connection issues than others too so doesn’t look like it is just me.

BATTERY DRAINS LIKE CRAZY. After just two days I had to delete BitdefenderVPN because the battery analysis showed that it drained 50% of the battery effectively reducing the time I can use my phone by half, EVEN WHEN VPN IS OFF AND APP IS CLOSED.

For whatever reason connecting via VPN continuously switches between your homes Wi-Fi and LTE.

Finally, it reduces your WiFi speeds by half, at home its no big deal, half of 200mbps is still plenty, but when your traveling (when you really need the VPN) it takes your 20mbps connection and makes it 8-12, making your internet almost unusable.

For years I’ve had to endure dealing with a stalker with a military background. He gets into everything and he has an entire team behind him. When I initially began using this VPN, his spying was successfully thwarted however, he/they found a way around it and have continued spying. It brings to question how effective this VPN actually is considering its apparent back door breach.

I have been a customer for 7 yrs. I have never had any issues in the past/present with BitDefender. I’m so happy with their services and I will continue to stay with them for another year. You are the best, and you have done an awesome job! Kudos to all the IT Dept⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Simple to use with a nice layout.

If I could put something on the wishlist, it’s that BitdefenderVPN would auto connect when the phones connects to open WiFis or a pre-made list.

When I use the VPN and check my ip address it shows that I’m being connected to G-core S.A.
If you look at this company it shows that it’s a high risk for fraud as well as showing it’s a network sharing device?
Not only is not defender sending my traffic through fraudulent ISP but it’s also NOT a vpn service, it shows as network sharing device not vpn. This is the second time contacting them and the first time I asked about it they said they couldn’t do anything about it?

I’m an expat living in China, looking for a good VPN. This is not one of them, it will not connect and refuses to do so. There’s literally no point of a VPN if it won’t connect regardless of where you’re at. Apparently BitdefenderVPN won’t work in counties such as China, Iran, Russia, or other countries that have a heavy handed presence on the internet. There are other VPNs that will allow you to connect regardless of where you’re at, I just wanted to try this one since it came with my Bitdefender subscription which it’s essentially useless.

Fore most part it is good. I would like to see, it automatically reconnect to protected browser. When will am though with VPN internet. Currently I have to remember to make selection manually after using VPN. This can be troublesome at times, especially if I forget to do this.

Mostly works. Not constant, but lots of frozen connections. Generally resolve by disconnecting and reconnecting the VPN or disabling/re-enabling the WiFi or other connection. Happens probably a couple of times per day. Overall, Bitdefender is decent, but when this subscription is up I’ll probably try a different service.

What a price of crap nothing but problems and emails to tech support since I installed
Drops all the time freezes up can’t load data unless I turn it off. Websites show up in different languages I am not a robot verification for almost every website. 6 emails to tech support and after waiting 5 days they say uninstall and reinstall it. Save yourself some time money and aggravation

I have son who i use parental controls on his Device but it brakes his folders so he has to put it back together and he can’t access certain apps that he needs to use like his web browser so I kind of like it but also don’t

I’ve had Bitdefender internet security for 7 years now and have never really had any issues.

I purchases the VPN in June 2020 and it was great for desktop use. Now I’ve been trying to use it on my phone but the connection is just terrible.

When I unlock my phone the VPN struggles to connect and takes about 30-40 seconds before I can actually access the internet. Even then sometimes I can’t access the internet without first disconnecting the VPN even though I’m connected and the vpn seems to be running.

In conclusion, great addition for desktop users, lackluster for mobile.

Works well most of the time. Occasionally it drops continuously making it completely unusable, but the majority of the time it works very well with speeds faster than I have seen through any other VPN service.

Great product and ease of use, in comparison to other services. Keep up the great work and thank you for securing my digital needs.

Much more stable than a couple of years ago. I don’t remember the connection ever dropping in the last year or so.

Paid for premium VPN and my iPhone still got hacked. Never any updates. Apple found malware and spyware on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I always update apps and iOS right away.
The Central app never loads 75% of the time.
BitdefenderVPN absolutely doesn’t find or stop malware or spyware or someone hacking it.
I send 100’s of emails with proof and never get a straight answer or anything to fix it.

The Internet kill switch does not work if the connection is dropped and the VPN times out when the connection is restored. This is a more frequent occurrence than one might expect. This is a serious matter since it defeats the purpose of having a VPN. No VPN should ever expose the user’s traffic.

The VPN MUST block all traffic when the VPN cannot create a tunnel, unless the user explicitly enables this.

I continually receive messages telling me my phone’s security has been compromised so I should purchase a VPN from the Apple store.

How May I stop such messages?

I have a subscription for VPN. I’m not able to get a connection. I can’t even send a ticket through BitdefenderVPN . Am I hacked?

This vpn is the worst. Connection drops all the time, and it’s super slow. It literally takes almost a minute for a webpage to load compared to when I don’t use it, it takes less than a second. If it comes with your antivirus subscription then, sure, use it if you want. But do not pay for it standalone. Get something like NordVPN if you want a good vpn.

This is a VPN that works very well. Speeds are fast (assuming the cell/Wifi networks are fast). Just one request. Make a iOS Widget for this so I don’t always have to open up BitdefenderVPN to enable/disable the VPN.

It would be nice not to have to choose between the Web protection and VPN.
It would be great to have them both on at the same time. Unless I’m misunderstanding…regards

Every time I pick up the phone I have to manually turn on the VPN. I thought it was supposed to automatic. I just renewed the VPN yesterday and I have problems with it. You’re lucky you got three stars
