Had potential

I’ve played this game since launch. Overall the graphics are amazing, the story is mediocre but functional. The combat system is solid, but I personally can’t recommend the game. This is one of those heavy grind-fest gear collectors. The game is F2P if you don’t care about progression, but if you want to play a lot the energy and daily dungeon gating will hold you back. The thing I hate most about this game is the contract system. It is cool that there are strong characters available for “free”, but you have to log in EVERY SINGLE day in a row for 30 DAYS. I finished the first 15 day contract no problem, but the 30 day contract I got close to the end and missed one login. For missing one login day I can accept a punishment of being forced to pay like 900 crystals to renew the co tract or I can be punished by starting all over and having to wait a month. I tried to pay the crystals to start it over but somehow it started me back at day 1. I’m deleting LordofHeroes . I will not play a game that punishes it’s players.

Nice and a bit Bad

The Game fun and nice with it’s story, but takes quite some grinding for a long time and some waiting for materials needed to come in. The Contracts and hard to keep up to point that I had be in the game everyday to not have it restart, it doesn’t have a type of progression system where players can keep their progression in a contract and can take a break from the game. It’s constant worry of being on that day to keep the contract going. It’s getting more addicting to play the longer I play but I’m anxiety and frustration every time I have to enter the game and have the daily login for the contract, it even a month long! I had to leave the game before I break down from the constant resetting of the contract, especially when I forgot to login and there is a update going on, and I was almost to finishing a contract. The game is fun and exciting with the gameplay and story but also wears down the mind from the contract and constant grinds. Spend money if y’all want but for those who don’t like spending money, this game might be too much...

Great story/ pay wall

The story is super great and you get good characters from the story it’s a really fun experience playing through the story but the best characters are behind a pay wall and they are very expensive and the worst part of the the game is they don’t give you enough green potions to level your characters so your progression is really slow basically there’s never really good events that give always the stuff you need and no Collabs with other games/animes overall it is a really good game I got to the end of the story and got stuck not being able to kill the last boss due to the time it takes to level 1 character hall of experience gives you barely any pots so your just stuck logging in for daily pots and getting off they added a lot of character I ended up caving and have spent like $100 but now it’s back to slow growth with the scarcity of upgrade potions

Wow ✨

Lord of hero’s is probably hands down, one of the greatest games I have ever played, you don’t see many games out there that incorporates you into the story, playing as the ruler of a small continent known as Avillon. But it’s not just you being a ruler, I’ve had my fair share of anime’s, and this game is very much like one but instead of watching it your experiencing it by playing it and helping your hero’s grow. And at the same time during the story that goes on in this game, the monarch you play as becomes more than just a ruler of a small continent, he/she seems to every be more of a brotherly or sisterly leader to their knights and not just them but the other continents as well that you ally with during the game. I like the fact that the monarch protagonist is not a control freak and is pretty loose and more on the fun carefree side but at the same time is very very smart and serious when they need to be. Over all I love this game I give it a full five stars in my opinion.

Had potential

I have now played the game through once. I have to say I’m rather disappointed.
This game has some the most beautiful animations, the story was actually wonderful, and the voices were done really well. However, that does not take away from the fact that this game has the worst power cap I have ever seen.
There really is no way to get yourself the team that you want unless you pay $50 (essentially) for one character and the stuff to awaken them one time. But, it’s not any hero it’s the ones that they offer. You have to wait to they come in to the shop for you to get them, then lvl them, get the equipment, then try and proceed. I’m all for that grind, but THEN THEY LOCKED THE AUTO RUN TO 5 RUNS... why have the auto there at all.
I do get that the hero’s are limited because the details that went into each out them but like give me 1, 5* so I’m not so pigeon holed into the lvling/gear fiasco. 15 days for a free one... so I need to wait another week to be able to progress in the section that I’m in? You want met to awaken one of the 4* that I have and not do the 5*. So many, many, many little things that just become cumbersome.

The games great just some issues

The game is great it looks really good and the devs making frequent improvements and balances to the game is great but the problem is the gear upgrading system and the monetizing. Gear has too many rng factors the part that will make players not like your game is the chance your gear gets an upgrade or fail. It’s a waste of resources that players had spent time farming and very frustrating when it takes 300k gold to get one piece of gear from 9 to 12 on the gear discount day. The gear upgrade chance should be guaranteed with a set cost. The monetizing part of the game is characters being released only for money it’s starting to get frequent and that can drive players away from your game. You need to balance this out between grinding for the characters and buying them also making new characters for both paying and free to play players. People spend money when they are enjoying a game not because you monetize it.

Would love to give this 5 stars

I want to start off by saying the story and characters are great. Love the battle system and the character designs and everything else about this game. The story is vet good and compelling. I enjoy myself every time I play.
My one complaint that completely removes 2 stars is the fact that it crashes. A lot. It burns through the battery on my phone. A lot. Even after I dropped the frame rate to the lowest level. The game has also frozen up my ENTIRE PHONE more than once.
The crashing and and extreme battery using are every time I play the game. Every time I launch the game, after waiting a while for all the extra announcements to appear on screen, I can do maybe one possibility three if I’m lucky before the game crashes and I have to close and relaunch. I have to do this several times before I can get to play the game. Sometimes I get very frustrated with this and don’t want to play after the second or third crash.
You have a great game here. I just wish I didn’t have these issues.

Excellent game but unfortunately...

This game is an amazing rpg and I had so much fun playing it, but it does have shortcomings.

The graphics are beautiful, the story is easily followable and the heroes are diverse in personality and power; They have different versions of the same characters but with tweaked abilities so they aren’t identical. And while there is a gacha system, it’s easily ignorable so if you don’t want to roll it isn’t hard to resist. These aspects make the game great. Unfortunately...

This game has one of the WORST progressions I’ve ever seen in an rpg. You can blast through the beginning no problem with the starting characters, but halfway through is when you really have to focus on leveling them. And this is extremely difficult, time consuming, and frustrating. Getting elixirs if a pain because you can farm them, but only a certain amount of times a day, and this is not a large amount. Getting materials for ascension and promotions isn’t a cakewalk either. The bosses are obnoxiously difficult and if you are a p2p player, good luck because they designed the system so you can’t buy the most powerful characters, and a lot of characters have requirements that are hard to achieve with money or not.

To conclude, you’ll have plenty of fun playing this game, I assure you, but it will get to the point where you have to either have the patience of Buddha or the money to pay off student loans.

I love it although grinding for basic material is an issue

I recently got this game like 5 days ago and I absolutely fell in love. I already spent around $50 on this. The only problem I have is that resource is become scarce throughout game. My lord is level 8, and I’m having extreme difficulty getting exp pots to level my heroes up. I manage to 5* most of my starter. Now I’m just grinding to level up cause I’m still stuck on normal last stage cause my power too low. Hopefully as I progress I can earn more exp pots. Other than resource issue everything is amazing from gameplay, VA, and features. It has many events that give you stuff although it might take like 30 mins max to refresh shop etc. Keep in mind that this coming from someone who has bought it for 5 days, I’m sure my feedback going to change as I progress deeper.

Its starting to get good.

I’ve been playing mobile games for awhile now especially to help me meet my daily fascination urges, so to have a game grab my attention is pretty hard at times. I love the graphics and the story is indeed rich. This is all very important because too many games start off with a the evil villain right from the start and we don’t get to get immersed within the game play more by wondering. It does see. That I can acquire any hero’s with some grind and the grind isn’t at all headachey because the story is actually kinda awesomely splendid I will update my review after I gather more info from toward progress. So far it’s very nice. I appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into creating this I can tell it has similar characteristics from other games but has tried deeply to retain its own vision which is great to see

Potential but needs work

I just started Playingg this game after scrolling for hours trying to find a that wasn’t wuifu obsessed, The games great! Combat is good, characters are cool and overly not inappropriate, and ton of other things But I have some big issues with this game. For starters who thought that a story that repeated it self 4 times was good idea?! Also it gets harder!!! Look it’s a good idea but I spent hours grinding the story and (SPOILER u lose the the bad guy 3 times!!!) Ik u guys tried with the dog element people and changing the party but still it’s kinda annoying, also linkstones (aka the currency to get summons) are STUPID, like I can’t get them in the story and instead are given crystals that are kinda useless when u have like 5K, also the temporal threads are paid ONLY!!! Like that’s stupid there should be some way to get them like link-stones through that least events. Over all this games is ok and I’m rlly still playing it because it’s not inappropriate lol, hopefully u guys can change an advertise this game more and thx for ur time!

Awesome Game

I don't understand why people are saying there's a paywall? The whole game can be cleared without paying a dime, you just need the right combo of heroes (preferably ones with immense deals or burst skills that delay the enemy's turn), your high-level gear leveled up fully (only upgrade on fridays, that's the rule), and some well-thought-out skill order (like adjusting/upping the speed of the healers so the party is shielded right before the boss's ultimate skill). Also, get your heroes and your lord as high-level as you can. You don't need money to do that.

I don't know, maybe I have a good grip of how to play because I read the how-to posts from Korean players. But seriously, this game is far from impossible to play without money. It's a grind, but it's definitely doable. (If you're looking for mindless games, then this is probably not for you.) Personally, leveling up and beating a previously difficult boss in one chained shot is one of the best things offered about this game. Makes you feel like you've accomplished something impossible by going against a digital apocalypse beast and destroying it. (Also, the story's pretty cool too.)

Good game and some stuff would like to see later

Would like to see all elements version of heroes and maybe have the original characters be different and the other elements ones have a new name outfit and hair style and keep the color scheme the same and would love to see more contracts with heroes and if possible have heroes that you haven’t chose from previous ones be in them and like nouns playable characters be playable would like to see a daily log in some things to help make characters stronger no gear yet and make price changes to some of the packages and have more mode of story that are hard and more new regions and characters and have characters like kind there learn that there’s others like them out there that would be nice so we have more diversity great game over all fan off the game thanks.

Amazing! I have no words

Everything about this game is just top tier. The graphics are stunning, the developer team is always fixing any small bugs and giving out updates, the storyline is rich and unique, the gameplay is super fun and easy to get used to, and above all, the characters are adorable! I love how they’re not over-sexualized and are treated as actual dynamic people who make jokes, provide insight, and have amazing abilities. They’re extremely likable and I’ve actually learned a lot from them since their perspectives and personalities are so diverse. In this game, we’re exposed to important topics like class discrimination, freedom of will, the importance of individuality, abuse, racial oppression, etc. It’s also a game that’s still incredibly interesting but not addicting, which i think is key for having a fun, healthy lifestyle. I recommend this game to people of all ages, genders, walks of life, etc. There’s something in it for everyone!

This is a phone game??

Long rant, sorry in advance:
I’m just so amazed by this game. I never take phone games seriously, they will never compare to my pc and PS4 games, right? Right?? Wrong. This game has changed my outlook on what is possible for phone games. The art is wonderful, the gameplay is fun- repetitive though, and it really doesn’t require money to enjoy, you can be completely free to play and it almost makes the game... even more enjoyable! How? Simple: The world and characters were so wonderfully written. Lord of Heroes has an incredibly interesting story to tell and characters that will win your heart over, and it does this BETTER than plenty of pc and console games. Taking your time in this game gives you plenty more time to be immersed and really connect more and more with their world. I cannot wait for there to be more story added, I am so looking forward to what you guys have in store.

My current favorite game!

I want to get this out there upfront: this game can be beaten (at least the main story even in extreme difficulty) FTP! That being said, I have spent money in the game to get additional characters, and to help the developers keep up the good work.

The story in this game is amazing and wholesome. It isn’t a lewd game and I feel safe letting my 9 year old play (there is violence, but it’s cartoonish and while there is suspense, it’s not threatening).

There is a robust PVP component to this game as well as a trial tower that is reset and has new challenges with frequent updates. It will take time to build up and tweak your team, but the progression is worth it, and a lot of the fun is trying out different combinations to try to beat certain bosses or get a better score.

There is a gacha system, but it’s for equipment not heroes. If you want a hero, you can spend your resources to get that specific hero. No hoping on bad pull rates. And every hero has value and different skills, although some are definitely more useful than others. No one is unusable.

If you’ve made it this far in my review, give the game a chance and see what you think! I hope to see you there.

Fun but huge paywall

You get get through the game by not spending a penny but it’ll take you a long time. Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the game a lot. For example to get to a hard difficulty you beat it on normal by controlling all the countries. The final boss fight on normal is pay to progress to the extreme. Got the boss to 12 bars of hp he used his ult and goes all the way back up to 35 hp bars. Sorry but at least try to hide the pay to progress. Yeah you can say just upgrade but the ring for upgrades are ridiculous at times. Example I upgraded an item from +9 to +12 succeeded once failed 78 times to then succeed one more time. It was only a 3 star item, I can’t imagine what it’ll be for a max star item. Millions of gold gone for nothing because of a poorly designed ring system.
You may like this game you may not like it. Up to you but it is a hefty grind. I have my gripes but I still enjoy this game. Maybe I’m a masochist for this style of game who knows. If you don’t like really grindy games stay away.

I’d vote this monarch for president!

Love the approach of the protagonist, how he supports his knights and approaches trouble in the world in surrounding countries. Have fun meeting the characters, unfortunately some seem to only be available to buy with real money, but it also means you don’t have summon rates to worry about, just meeting the conditions to recruit or paying the required resources (in game currency or real money for some).

Yes there are fights that are a lot harder than preceding fights, it’s not a paywall per say, although the grind for gold to be able to afford promotions or gear can be a lot at times and gold goes so quickly too 😅. Like you may get a few million gold if you play a lot in a week and use bonus stamina from various sources (or selling a cache of farmed equipment can help too)—-each million may be enough for a couple of item enhancings to +15 (if RNG doesn’t hate you) or promoting one hero from 5 to 6 stars. Or purchase 3 skill upgrades 😅.

The number of auto repeats increases to a cap of 20 with hero level.

To the Developers & everyone

Bump: this new update was literally a great response in the right direction with two new F2P heroes 👏👏👏. +1 ⭐️ keep that up

For starters, I never make reviews. Secondly I have never put as much money into a game as much as this, quite generously actually. That being said, it is still free to play friendly, but paying makes the game significantly more enjoyable like unlocking payable only attainable characters. The gameplay is great but it lacks so much content that keeps you playing, especially how awful the energy system allows.. big gripe. Understandably I still consider this game fairly new, but there also needs to be a major rebalance of core game functions, like currencies ie. CLASS RUNES and their attainability. Forget farming that with the drop rates per energy. Please, it pains me to rate this a 3 when I play it every single day and still invest money into it. Ease on the greed with the character prices as well, or the whole shop altogether. I would bet more players would invest into the game more. Would love to update this review if heard

I'm having fun playing this game

So I’ll just cut to the point this game is fun it's really fun maybe I’m biased but I like the story and the characters, the characters have really fun personalities, but again that’s just my opinion and not everyone has my opinion, but hey that’s just me and my preference and also like the game mechanics it’s basically just a RPG turn based game nothing too exciting there, but I have seen some really awful turn base RPG games some just have some really janky mechanics like you have to do this in a certain order or else it just won’t work yea this game doesn’t do that it gives you options that optimizes the attacks full advantage' you can choose to ignore that which is really helpful to my play-style which is attack the healers first then focus on the boss again that’s just my personal Play style so don’t get mad at me if you don’t agree with me I’m aloud to play the game how I see fit and you’re too, and if you don’t like this game then you don’t like it I’m not going to force you to like it you have your own personal preference, and hey good on you anyway I just wanted to give my opinion on this game that’s and creator keep making this fun so long.
